Abstract

The application interface currently used by Indo Global Mandiri University was designed for wide screen on desktop and laptop computers.When the application opens on a smaller screen smartphone and or tablet, app components, such as combo boxes, tables, etc. cut off on the right side so users have to shift it horizontally to the left. In addition, the displayed text is hard to read because of its smaller size. Indeed, users can zoom in but as a result the text is not displayed intact, there is a section of text that is cut off because of the limited screen. Users should not only shift the view vertically, but also horizontally. This certainly reduces the convenience of using the application. Therefore, for smartphone and tablet users, the app needs to be remodeled by adjusting its interface so it is more convenient and easier to use. The size and resolution of smartphones and tablet screens that are very diverse is a challenge in itself. The built interface must dynamically adjust the display format automatically according to the screen size and resolution. The design approach is usually by: (1) responsive design, or (2) adaptive design. The application will be built using a combination of both by optimizing the size and resolution of the existing screen so it is expected that the resulting interface provides convenience for the user. Coding uses Java programming language with Android Studio IDE 3. Applications can be used by UIGM lecturers as alternatives of existing applications.Keywords : User interface, Responsive design, Adaptive design

Abstract

Monte Carlo is a simulation method that using random numbers obtained from Linear Congruential Generator (multiplicative generator) as an approximation in estimating the number of visitors using previous time visitor data. The number of visitors who come to use internet services on internet cafes is often difficult to predict. Apart from some indicators that affect or may be experienced by the cafe owner with the activities of the internet service, it will  predicted the number of visitors using visitor data from 60 days ago with linear method congruential generator as scrambler and monte carlo method as estimator. The results obtained is the estimated number of visitor in uniform distribution [0,1] for the next 60 days that can be used as information for cafe owner.Keywords:Simulasi, Linier Congruential Generator, Monte Carlo, Estimasi, Random Number

Abstract

DNS is made to facilitate users in accessing a website with a domain without having to continually update the files host.txt.DNS was developed in 1983, every user accessing a website using a domain name through a browser, will be routed by the router to a public DNS serverto get a web address in the form of ip address.It takes time for DNS servers to reverse and lookup for translate domain names into ip addresses and vice versa.By creating a local DNS server as a cache,then it can be applied forwarding technique on DNS Server,so the time required to find the web server address of a destination website becomes faster. In addition to minimizing query time by implementing a local DNS server, can also be filtered against a particular domain name even though using a secure protocol like httpsby creating a zone for the web address you want to filter. So the use of the Internet becomes more useful. Abstract

Facial recognition research is usually done with a rectangular frame model. previously it is not known whether this model is the best model among other models in face recognition. This research conducted a comparison of face recognition accuracy with elliptical frame model, triangle, rectangle, and pentagon. RGB image is used for facial segmentation, and skin color is used as a feature. using 320 x 240 pixel image, face position is front view, shooting distance about 200 cm, and use one color for background. The method of recognition used is Template Matching. Test results on 40 test images is the highest recognition accuracy level is a rectangular frame that is 97%, and the lowest accuracy is the triangle frame that is equal to 68%.Keywords : Face recognition, Frame, Segmentation, Template Matching

Abstract

Information now become an absolute necessity for an organization or company to win a competition Along with the development of information needs, especially for restaurant owners to make decisions and to find out problems that occur in the restaurant, then developed an information system called decision support system. With decision support system information can be displayed in the form of a brief and displays the data in accordance with the needs so as to facilitate a restaurant owner in making decisions effectively, Problems that appear on Mubarok Resto that is not a system to help restaurant owners in making decisions on problems that occur in restaurants covers of internal and external factors of the restaurant.To overcome these problems is by applying SWOT analysis as a tool to analyze internal and external conditions in the development of decision support systems that specifically manage data information internal and external problems that occur in Mubarok Resto, the expected results of this research is to make a SWOT analysis application that can facilitate restaurant owners in making effective restaurant decisions.Keywords : Decision support system, SWOT, Management, Web applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence of foreign tourists on the number of hotel occupancy in the city of Palembang. Based on data that has been taken and tested using Linear Regression method, Respondents are taken from the number of foreign tourists coming to Palembang city (X) and the number of hotel visitors in Palembang (Y), from January to August in 2016. Meaning the influence of foreign tourists to the number of hotel occupancy in the city of Palembang is equal to 21.48%. The rest 79.62% Caused by other factors not included in the model. Y = Subject in predicted dependent variable, X = Subject to independent variable having certain value. a = Parameter intercept, b = Parameter coefficient regression independent variable. When the correlation coefficient is high, then the price of b is also great, otherwise when the negative correlation coefficient then the price b is also negative. Thus, if X = parameter (eg: 848), a = 140.4 and parameter b = 0.28 then the result is 377.4. Keywords :Linier regression, Foreign tourists, Tourism

Abstract

CV. Lima Saudara is a company engaged in the manufacture of various clothing located in H Sanusi Street No..3 Lebong Siarang, Palembang. Implement system that can help the process of daily waking activities considering the activities that occur between different areas. Find schools in certain areas who like to bother in ordering uniforms because of the limitations of transfortasi tools that are not eligible school to find place of school uniforms that exist in the cities. With the online media at this time can facilitate many schools in finding distributors making school uniforms to be used for students. With the development of technology at this time will be able to help the service system in variety of products. As in ordering online care girls no longer need to come to the place of the apparel manufacturing distributor simply by opening the website provided by the distributor.This method is the Web Engineering Model, web engineering adapts the software in terms of basic concepts that emphasize technical and management activities. Abstract

PT. Kimia Farma(Persero) is a trading and distributor company which trusted to distribute various drugs to drugstores in South Sumatera region. In this company still exist some weaknesses that must be polished up, one of them is in the drug distribution, if the drugstores want to order drugs, they have to call the administration section first, then the administration section will do drug stock checking to the warehouse if the ordered drug stock is still exist or not and the warehouse section will notify to the administration section, then the administration section will call back drugstore to notify about the drug stock. If there is supply of drugs in the storage, the administration section will notify the drugstore party that the ordered drug is exist, so that the warehouse section will prepare the drug, after the drug order is prepared, will send the orders through transportation. The method used is Waterfall which consists of analysis, design, code, testing and maintenance. The system design uses Unified Modeling Language which consists of Use Case Diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram and File Specification. Abstract

Defining the objective of social protection programs and determining the criteria as poor societies often become complex issue. The dynamic of poverty data requires the existance of local policies through village/kelurahan consultation. The policy through that consultation is also become main power for selecting the recipient of prosperous family card, but in fact, the decision to determine the criteria of poor household usually does not refer to the criteria of poor family. Based on this case, the determination of poor family's criteria needs a good system to prevent mistakes and frauds that is done by certain people, the system is known as decision support system.Decision Support System which is designed in this study is a combination of technology and methodology that can be used to help making decision in determining the recipient candidate of Prosperous Family Card. One of the methods that can be used to determine the recipient candidate of Prorperous Family Card is discriminant analysis. Discriminant analysis is one of the statistical analysis techniques that has utility to classify object of several groups. The statistical model that is generated by discriminant analysis is in the form of grouping function, to ptedict and classify the household whether the group deservd to receive the Prosperous Family Card or not. After the result of grouping by using discriminant analysis, the application in the form of decision support systen is made for selecting the simple candidate of Prosperous Family Card, interesting, and easy to use.Keywords : Discriminant Analysis, Decision Support System, Prosperous Family Card

Abstract

Currently the University of IGM is required to produce graduates who have competence and high competitiveness. One benchmark of success lies in how quickly graduates are absorbed in the world of work. Based on the results of tracer study in 2014, the amount of alumni absorbed in the world of work, in accordance with educational background = 25%, the number of alumni who work not in accordance with educational background = 45% and the number of alumni who have not worked / no news = 30 %. The results of the calculation is not a proud thing, the cause of the problem is most of IGM University graduates are not ready for work, lack of information about job vacancies, IGM Training Center role is not maximal and management of tracer study is less effective. From these problems arise the idea of building applications for Student Career Development at the University of IGM.Application Career Development Student is a guidance application for Student self-development. This app is website based. Forecasting technique to predict the quality of Student by using artificial neural network backpropagation. Five pengguna roles are Student, alumni, stakeholder, IGM training center and study program contribute to provide uptodate information. The application will manage the data to be submitted to the pengguna Career development application used from the first semester to the end, the application will read the needs of students for the achievement of competence.Therefore through this application can be a trager for Students to help prepare themselves before entering the world of work.Keywords: Website application, Information System, Student career
