Abstract

The difficulty of increasing the character of learning hard work in a person can affect the learning outcomes, by increasing the effort to work hard in learning can have an impact on increasing student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to obtain a specific description of the effect of hard work on learning outcomes of physics through rotational dynamics and rigid object equilibrium at SMAN 1 Jambi City. The type of research used was quantitative research with survey research. The subjects in this study were 40 science students of class XI at SMAN 1 Kota Jambi held in October 2020. The instrument used by the researcher was a questionnaire containing 25 items about hard work, and 25 items for multiple choice questions. The data were obtained by distributing questionnaires and multiple choice questions to science students of class XI at SMAN 1 Jambi City, then the collected data were processed and analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 program. The results showed that there was a significant effect of learning hard work on the learning outcomes of science students in class XI SMAN 1 Jambi City with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, in other words, the more positive (the higher) a person's learning hard work towards physics lessons, the higher learning outcomes were obtained.

Abstract

Motivation to learn is an encouragement given by someone to others in order to achieve their goals. Weak students’ motivation can reduce students’ learning outcomes. So it can be said that learning motivation is one of the factors that can affect student learning outcomes. Hence, the purpose of this study is to discover the effect of learning, motivation on student learning outcomes in physics subjects in straight motion material at SMA N 6 Muaro Jambi.This research utilized quantitative research methods with surveys. The subjects of this study were students of class X IPA school year 2019/2020 consisting of 50 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire about motivation and multiple choice questions about straight motion material. The result obtained from this study was the learning motivation of students was classified as high or good criteria. Student learning outcomes in the physics subject matter of straight motion were in the fairly good category. Based on the regression test which aimed at determining the effect of learning,  motivation on learning outcomes, it was discovered that there was a good and positive influence between motivation and student learning outcomes at SMAN 6 Muaro Jambi.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding of database system learning using Venn diagrams and relation diagrams. The first stage of the research was by conducting a pretest that contained the material, questions, and solutions using the Venn diagram and the relation diagram. The post-test stage was in the same way so that it can be seen an increase in student understanding of the database system by using Venn diagrams and relations as tools. The primary object of this research is to increase students' understanding of the database system using Venn diagram operations and relation diagrams to solve database system questions. The method used was pre-experimental research with the design of one group pretest and post-test design. The samples used were 45 students in semester 5 of the Informatics Engineering Department for the 2020/2021 academic year of Indraprasta University PGRI. The instruments collected were in the form of pretest and post-test results. The percentage result (P) was that the pretest to post-test scores has increased from 64.33% to 86.33% based on the Venn diagram. The statistical hypothesis test using the Wilcoxon test obtained a sig value of 0.000 <0.05, which concluded that there was an increase between the pretest and post-test results based on the Venn diagram compared to the relation diagram. Therefore, the author describes that the average Unindra PGRI students in semester five can understand database questions by applying the Venn diagram material between relationships.

Abstract

The character of hard work is a character that must not be vanished, especially for students at the end of class XII Senior High School. This study aimed to determine the results of the character of hard work description in physics subjects in class XII MIPA at SMAN 1 Jambi City. This study used a quantitative approach. This type of research was a survey with a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random sampling. The subjects of this study were students of class XII MIPA 1, 2, and 3 in the 2020/2021 school year, with a total of 60 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study used the SPSS program. The results showed that the hard work questionnaire in physics was classified as "good". The number of students who had a hard work character which was categorized as very good resulted in a percentage of 8.3%. Meanwhile, the number of students who got the good category resulted in a percentage of 91.7%. With this research, hopefully, it can contribute as knowledge for the writer and teacher concerned to improve the character of hard work in physics subjects at SMAN 1 Jambi City.

Abstract

Electric current is defined as the flow direction of positive charge from the positive pole to the negative pole that is understood in imaginary. Numbers of formulas and facts give complicated and boring impression. Preparation, implementation, and completion of practice require a lot of energy and time, so the use of equipment in the laboratory is also one of the causes for the weak understanding of grade IX / 2 students at SMP Negeri 85 Jakarta. Ms. Power Point, as a presentation medium, also provides various facilities for creating, processing, inputting audio files, video files, and even animation.  This program was developed as a physics teaching tool (Physics Courseware) to increase students' understanding and interest in physics lessons. The difficulty in understanding the material with the existence in learning media was then carried out in an action which was implemented in the odd semester of the 2016/2017 academic year with 2 cycles. Actions in cycle I and cycle II were through the use of Media Physic Courseware and it was seen that there was a change in interest and learning outcomes. The research success indicator was seen from the performance indicator, that was if all the observed aspects had reached 85% or more. After all actions taken, and from the result of observation, assessment, and discussion, it was concluded that the use of physics courseware can increase student interest and learning outcomes.
