Abstract

Preeclampsia refers to an acute pregnancy complication and occurs during pregnancy, labor and post-partum periods. Eclampsia is one of the main causes of the maternal death. The preeclampsia occurs prior to the eclampsia and it complicates the pregnancy. Preeclampsia is noticed based on the symptoms such as hypertension associated with proteinuria and edema during pregnancy. This quantitative research employs the design of cross-sectional study. The samples were selected using accidental sampling technique and as many as 55 respondents were included as the samples. The aim of the research was to find out the correlation of the knowledge level of the pregnant mother related to preeclampsia and its occurrence at RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi of Makassar. Based on the statistical test of Chi-Square, the value of p (0.005) < 0.05. The research hypothesis confirmed that Ha was accepted and HO was rejected, therefore, it showed the correlation of the knowledge level of the pregnant mothers related to the preeclampsia and its occurrence at RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi of Makassar. The finding presented the significant correlation of the knowledge level of the pregnant mother related to preeclampsia and the occurrence of preeclampsia at RSKD Ibu dan Anak Pertiwi of Makassar.

Data normality test using Shapiro-Wilk Test and hypothesis testing using Paired T-Test. Result: The result of data analysis of respondent characteristhics have obtained the dominance of age in this study is age 60-74 years (68,7%), female gender (100%), the dominance of elementary school education (62,5%), and the most occupations are farmers (90,6%). The results of statistical test using Paired T-Test showed that the significance value was 0,000 ((p) <0,05). Abstract

In Central Java Province, the percentage of young children who have used smartphones has reached 38.48%, while 33.96% of them have been able to access the internet. This figure is certainly quite worrying because it exceeds the national average data. Young children who use smartphones without parental supervision can be at risk of becoming addicted and suffering from several health problems, both physical and psychological. This study aims to analyze factors related to mothers' parenting practices in supervising smartphone use in early childhood. This research is a quantitative research with a cross sectional study design. The population of this study is mothers who have children aged 4 - 6 years and are able to use smartphones with an estimated number of 70,947 people. The sample was calculated using the Lemeshow formula and the results obtained were 95 people. The data collection technique was carried out by filling out a questionnaire in the form of a questionnaire which was carried out by the mother of the target (children aged 4 - 6 years). Research data was analyzed using SPSS statistical software with univariate and bivariate analysis. Bivariate analysis was carried out using the chi-square test. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that several variables were related to mothers' parenting practices in supervising smartphone use in early childhood are, employment (p=0.004), children's smartphone ownership (p=0.001), knowledge (p=0.004), and attitudes (p=0.009). Variables that are not related to parenting patterns in monitoring smartphone use in early childhood are the highest level of education (p=0.302), marital status (p=0.405) and age (p=0.193). Based on the research results, it is hoped that respondents or mothers can be consistent in supervising children who use smartphones and preventing them from the risk of dependence

Abstract

Abstrack Background: Neck pain indicates that a part of the neck is inflamed, tense, or disturbed, preventing it from functioning normally. Repetitive activities and unergonomic positions for workers will trigger musculoskeletal disorders. Attitudes and unsafe work environments closely correlate with health problems among carving workers, leading to neck pain. Objective: This study aimed to determine the difference in the effectiveness of McKenzie and Deep Neck Muscle Training interventions on the level of neck pain in carving workers in Petekeyan Village, Jepara. Method: This study used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, employing a two-group pretest-posttest design strategy. This study specifically measured the neck pain level in group 1 before and after the McKenzie workout intervention, and also measured the pretest-posttest neck pain in group 2 after engaging in a deep neck muscle intervention exercise. This study included 30 samples and employed a purposive sampling technique. This study used the neck pain disability index (NDI) questionnaire instrument to measure the level of neck pain. The Mann-Whitney test served as the statistical test. Results: This study showed that there is a significant difference between giving McKenzie intervention and deep neck muscle training on the level of neck pain in carving workers in Petekeyan village, Jepara, with a p-value of 0.002 (<0.05). Conclusion: The McKenzie workout intervention is more effective in reducing the level of neck pain.
