Abstract

The background of this research begins with finding light mentally retarded students in class DV/C who get difficulties in reading for begining that is students who get difficulties in reading words that use letter (b, m, p) at the front, middle and last word. It is happened because the students often miss, change and add the letter while reading, low in mastering vocabulary, and also the use of media less optimally by the teacher. The purpose of this research is to know how the reading learning process run and want to know the increasing of ability of light mentally retarded students in class DV/C SLB Bina Nagari South Solok. This research is Classroom Action Research that is done in collaborative form with colleague. This research is done to two students as the subject of this research that is light mentally retarded students in class DV/C in SLB Bina Nagari South Solok. The result of this research along cycle I that was done in learning process of reading words that were consisted of letter (b, m, p) at the front, middle and alast word used cross word puzzle media woth pictures. Based on the average score that was got by the students at the end of cycle I, it can be shown that A got score 40% and 60% with help. Meanwhile, B got 30% and 70% with help. The result of students’ ability in cycle 2 in reading words that was done from the beginning of pointng the words, differentiating the words, mentioning the word, and filling in the boxes of cross word puzzle showed the increasing of their ability that was A got 60% without help and B got 50% without help. In cycle 2, learning process that was started by differentiating letter and filling in the cross word puzzle boxes showed teh increasing in students’ reading ability that was A got 80% without help and B got 70%. Based on the result of the research and the analysis data, it can be concluded that cross word puzzle media with pictures can increase the ability of reading words that use letter (b, m, p) at the front, middle and last word to light mentally retarded students in calas DV/C. Therefore, it is suggested to the head master, teacher, and the next researcher to use cross word puzzle media with pictures in increasing reading ability to light mentally retarded students.

Abstract

This research background by problems in the field, that the deaf children in the class D II B SLB Perwari Padang totaling three people can not solve the problem of the sum of numbers 1-20 rows laterally in learning mathematics. The research methodology used was action research (Classroom Action Research). Data on children's ability gained through observation and tests, researchers collaborated with colleagues. Subjects were three deaf children class D II B SLB Perwari Padang. The research process begins with the planning of the activities carried out are: create a lesson plan, make the observation sheet, designing evaluation tools to assess the ability of the child, followed by action, observation, reflection resumed his activities. The research process was conducted in two cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. Implementation cycle starts from the first and second cycle using a model of creative problem solving learning with video compact disc (VCD) as an aid to the sum of the different forms of the game. The results of the first cycle is considered not optimal then, followed in the second cycle. In the second cycle of the child increases the sum of numbers 1-20 rows laterally through creative problem solving learning model with a video compact disc (VCD) in a game matching the sum of the same in the show on a video compact disc (VCD) with the goal of keeping children more solid in understanding the sum of numbers 1-20 rows laterally. The results of the second cycle children's understanding of numbers 1-20 summation increased with the acquisition of a score value reached 88.8%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the model of learning creative problem solving with a video compact disc (VCD) can be used as an effort to increase the sum of numbers 1-20 series aside for children with hearing impairment.

Abstract

This research aim to to 1) knowing execution process in uplift skill to sew frock pass aid technique mark with lines and 2) please prove that line aid technique can uplift skill to sew frock at dumb student class of VIII SMP-LB Panti. This Research is lifted by using method Classroom Action Research with berkolaborasi with coleage. Data collected to observation technique and of tes, laterthen analysed qualitative and is quantitative. Result of research indicate that 1) execution process in uplift skill to sew frock with line aid technique with two cycle. Activity by following cycle path namely: planning, execution, and observation of refleksi 2) Result of study sew with aid technique mark with lines: ability sew moment child of asesmen namely: TN is ( 37,5%), FT and of RN only ( 25%). After given by study at cycle of I ability sew diametrically of TN and of FT  (100%) and RN ( 87,5%). Cycle of II, result of the obtained ability of TN also (100%), FT (92,1%) and RN  (89,5%). Thereby can be concluded that line aid technique can improve ability sew frock dumb student class of VIII SMPLB Panti.

Abstract

This study started from the problems that researchers find in SLB Negeri Kota Sungai Penuh Kerinci that deaf children were grade 1 does not recognize the letters (a, b, c, d, e, f). based on this, this study aims to improve children's ability to recognize letters correctly. The hypothesis in this study is Fonik method can enhance the ability for deaf children recognize the letters were X-class 1 in the SLB Negeri Kota Sungai Penuh Kerinci. Type of research is experimental approach in the form of single-subject research (SSR), using AB research design. Subject of this study is a deaf child being, the assessment takes the form number that is how many letters can be mentioned, shown and written observations of the child at any time. This study first look at the condition of children in recognizing letters baseline, after treatment given investigators re-measure the number of letters that can be described, demonstrated and written correctly. The data obtained were processed with the graph so that the results can be drawn between the conditions. The results of this study indicate that the ability of deaf children recognize the letters are in the increase. In the baseline phase the child is only able to recognize one letter, is seen in the third observation to observation seventh. After intervention by using fonik seen that an increase in the child recognize the letters correctly as follows: a, b, c, d, e, f. Thus the hypothesis is accepted that fonik method can be used to improve the ability for deaf children recognize the letters were in SLB Negeri Kota Sungai Penuh Kerinci, the researchers suggested that further research in order to utilize the method fonik to raise the children's ability to recognize letters.

Abstract

Against the background of this research by the problems that researchers found in a field that is in a class of deaf students in special schools Discourse IX SMPLB Asih who have the ability in the field of computer. The ability of researchers to improve students' skills in the field again with the use of computer applications in the Adobe Photoshop image editing. This study used experimental approach in the form of single subjeck research (the study a single subject), with A-B design and data analysis techniques using graphical visual analysis. From the research results can be seen in the baseline condition is done in six sessions, students are only able to get a score of 18% in the first meeting, After a given treatment in the intervention condition, the ability of the students in taking steps to increase image editing, data showing the stability of the meeting of the seventh to the fifteenth meeting with the highest score of 100% with the steps in doing photo editing skills. Applications can be concluded that the use of Adobe Photoshop to enhance the skills of children with hearing impairment photo editing class IX SMPLB Wacana Asih Padang.

Abstract

This research of background overshadow by result of performed a antecedent study in SDLB Country 36 Muaro Sijunjung especially at child of tunagrahita light specially in class of II, where child in writing not yet used space, punctuation mark, sentence structure, there no according to between sentence in a paragraf and in writing sentence structure often  return, so that child get difficulty in writing the parts of plant which is description as according to its characteristics. As intention of this research, to know effective do not ithim execution of study pass/through approach of CTL ( Contextual Teaching Learning and) to increase ability write the parts of plant which is description in class of II SDLB Country 36 Muaro Sijunjung. This research use class action methodologies ( research action classroom) with berkolaborasi at friend of sejawat / other class teacher, and as research object is 3 ( class student people tiga) of II light tunagrahita at SDLB Country 36 Muaro Sijunjung Result of research of is existence of the make-up of in ability write the parts of plant which is description which enough signifikan if/when compared to the condition of early with data after treatment

Abstract

This research is plane from the term inclusi trend right now. Till low, the average of the child is 50-60. So this research is process for blind child, the constraints must be up against in education process and efforts to surpass the constraint in orientasi and mobilitas education process. This research use qualitative approach with qualitative descriptive research type. Subyect of the research is a teacher class, data source support is special cainselor teacher and the headmaster in SLB-A Payakumbuh. Collecting data process are pass trought by observation, interview, and documentation.The yield process indicate in education process, teacher not adjust RPP with the characteristic of the blind child. In the realization once in a while use exact media till in Orientasi andmobilitas education process. The child feel difficult to understand the matter. The constraint become because the teacher not yet understand characteristic of the blind child, till result the child always get low value in mathematic lesson. The effort in experience constraint is with always prepare real media of concrete, concord with lesson matter. The teacher must always prepare concrete media and realize modification to make RPP is concord with characteristic of the blind child.

Abstract

This study originated from the problems that researchers found in a social studies learning in class DIII / C SDLB 20  Solok City about the introduction of musical instruments, children are not familiar with musical instruments from the region. This study aims to improve the recognition of musical instruments using video media on learning for children of Social Sciences Tunagrahita lightweight class. This study uses a design approach Ekperiment Quasi-postes matching pretest control group design (control group design postest pratest-pairs). The subject of this study were all grade DIII / C at  SDLB 20 Solok City numbering four. Data collection this study used the test as many as 10 pieces of advice about which was read orally, and the data obtained were analyzed using the Mann Whitney U test. The results of this study indicate that, Uhit = 1 and at a significant level of 95% or alpha = 0.05 is obtained Utab = 0 for n = 4. Based on the results of the testing criteria Uhit> Utab, accepted, meaning that Ha is received and Ho is rejected, it is proved that the use of video media is more effective in improving the recognition of musical instruments for children Tunagrahita lightweight class DIII / C SDLB 20 Solok City.

Abstract

This study begins with the observation that researchers do in the SDLB N 40 Koto Baru Solok. Researchers found that a child is experiencing problems on mentally and we called with´’tunagrahita’’ in math especially arithmetic operations of addition, this study aimed to calculate the sum of operating ability in children with learning mathematics can raising Realistic. This study used experimental approach in a Single Subject Risearch (SSR) with a research design using design A - B - A. The subject of this study was a child Tunagrahita being. Target behavior is raising the sum of the arithmetic operation of said operation of calculating the sum total of about ten questions on the student worksheet.

Abstract

This research background light by deaf children who are not familiar with the concept of number 1-10. Based on this study aims to introduce the concept of numbers 1-10 correctly and see if the plastic bowling games can improve children's ability to recognize the concept of number 1-10.This research uses experimental research is in the form of Single Subject Research (SSR) with AB designs. The research was first seen from the baseline condition, after that proceed on the condition of Intervention. The data obtained were processed by the graphics.The results of this study indicate that children's ability to recognize the concept of numbers 1-10 can be increased through plastic bowling game. Performed at baseline conditions in the five-time observation of children's ability to recognize the concept of numbers as much as 0% -10%, the intervention conditions increased the ability of the child is a child could recognize the concept of number as many as 10% -100%.
