Abstract

Abstrak            Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi berdasarkan permasalahan di SLB Luak Nan Bungsu tentang seorang anak tunarungu yang mengalami masalah dalam menghafal surah Al-Kautsar. Kemampuan anak masih sangat rendah, untuk ayat pertama saja anak belum terlalu hafal dan sering terlihat ragu-ragu. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin membuktikan apakah metode VAKT  efektif untuk meningkatkan hafalan surah Al-Kautsar . jenis penelitian ini single subject research desain A-B-A. Abstract

This research is motivated by the discovery of an autistic child in SLB Autisma Mutiara Bangsa Padang that has not been able to recognize primary colors. While school teacher has been giving lessons on letters and numbers, whereas in the curriculum the child should already know basic colors in the development phase before the commencing of cognitive learning. Teachers also less consistent with the techniques used or the stages of the curriculum in delivering learning. Based on such facts, the researchers aim to prove whether the Discrete Trial Training (DTT) technique is effective to improve the ability of the child to know the primary colors. This type of research is the single subject research (SSR), with A-B-A design and research data analysis using visual analysis chart.Data analysis showed the baseline (A1) is performed as much as 7 times with mean level of 0%, the stability percentage of 100%, tendency towards stable (=). Continued intervention (B) for 16 times with mean level of 59.37%, 18.75% stability percentage, tendency toward increased (+). Further baseline condition (A2) is performed as much as 7 times with mean level of 90.47%, 28.57% stability percentage, tendency towards increased (+). Inter-state analysis of the data obtained changes in condition B/A1 is +0, and A2/B is +100. Overlap on data analysis B/A1 and B/A2 is 12.5% and 12.5%, respectively. Thus the research hypothesis is accepted, which Discrete Trial Training (DTT) technique is effective in improving the ability of autistic children recognize primary colors in SLB Autisma Mutiara Bangsa Padang. Key Word: primary colors; discrete trial training; autistic; autism

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study was motivated by the problem that was found in children with hearing impairment grade VII at SMPLB who could not speak a word properly. When communicating, the words that had been spoken were not clear, misspelled and hardly understood by others. This research used experiment approach in single subject research (SSR) form using A-B-A design and data analysis technique that was used was analysis visual graphic. Scoring in this research was done by measure children ability percentage in speaking some available words.Based on the result of the research, at baseline  condition (A1) that had been done five times observation and child only could get 20% score. At intervention condition (B) observation had been done ten times and child’s score increased to 90%.At baseline  condition (A2) observation had done five times and the score increased become 93.33%. From data analysis, it could say that there was improvement from baseline  (A1) to intervention (B) and baseline  (A2). Small data overlap percentage was 40 so that concluded intervention effect by PECS had done well toward speaking skill for deaf child in speaking words. Because of that reason, research hypothesis was accepted. It means that PECS could improve deaf child speaking skill. The researcher suggested to school and teacher to use PECS as teaching media in improving speaking skill of deaf  child    Key word: PECS; Anak Tunarungu; Komunikasi; Kata

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi adanya ditemukan anak gangguan penglihatan berbakat di sekolah penyelenggara pendidikan inklusif (SMKN 7 Padang). Siswa gangguan penglihatan berprestasi hingga tingkat Nasional dalam bidang seni karawitan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran dari pelaksanaan pengembangan bakat bagi anak gangguan penglihatan mulai dari perancanaan,pelaksanaan dan evalusasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi berupa piagam kejuaraan. Peneliti langsung melakukan wawancara dengan kepala sekolah, guru kelas, guru mata pelajaran dan guru BK di sekolah, kemudian wawancara dengan X dan siswa lainnya yang sekelas dengan X.Penelitian dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa penerimaan siswa berkebutuhan khusus disekolah ini berdasarkan bakat yang dimilikinya, kurikulum untuk pengembangan bakat bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus tidak dibedakan dengan anak lainnya, sekolah tidak memiliki GPK untuk mendampingi anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam pembelajaran. Strategi mengajar yang diberikan guru sama seperti mengajar anak pada umumnya, hanya saja ada perlakuan khusus bagi X, diberi perhatian lebih, pada mata pelajaran tertentu guru menyesuaikan standar kelulusan nilai sesuai dengan kemapuan siswa. Selama proses belajar mengajar masalah yang dihadapi guru adalah guru tidak dapat membaca tulisan braile sehingga anak yang diminta untuk membacakan tulisannya. Permasalahan lain yang dihadapi X di sekolah diatasi dan dicarikan solusinya oleh guru kelas, guru mata pelajaran dan dengan guru BK. Meskipun memiliki hambat, X dapat berprestasi dalam bidang akademik peringkat sepuluh besar dan beprestasi dalam pengembangan bakat yang dimilikinya hingga tingkat nasionalKata Kuci : Pengembangan bakat; pendidikan inklusif; Gangguan penglihatan

Abstract

This research was done due to a problem in several junior high schools as the organizers of inclusive education in Padang. The problem was that English learning was conducted classically with short learning hours. It was known that special need students required modifications in learning, particularly in language learning. The aim of research was to determine junior high school teachers’ perceptions as the operators of inclusive education toward English learning for deaf students in Padang.            The design of this research was descriptive quantitative research. The technique of data collection were questionnaire and observation. The results showed that almost half (41.02%) of teachers perceived that deaf students were interested in participating in English learning. The teachers perceived that 11.1% of deaf students did not experience barriers fraction in learning Speaking while other 88.9% of them did have problems. In learning Listening, the teachers perceived that 5.3% of deaf students did not experience barriers fraction while other 94.7% of them did have problems. For the Writing aspect, the teachers perceived that 37.1% of deaf students did not experience barriers fraction while other 62.9% of them did have problems. Then, for the aspect of Reading, the teachers perceived that 33.9% of deaf students did not experience barriers fraction while other 66.1% of them did have problems. In terms of interaction, almost in part (38.88%) of deaf students were able to interact in the process of English learning with teachers and peers.            Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that most of the teachers perceived that deaf students learned English by following the appropriate procedures both from the aspect of interest, barriers, and interaction.Keywords: teachers’ perceptions; teachers; inclusive; English; Deaf;

Abstract

Abstract : This research was conducted due to the problem found in the field showing that a student named RA had difficulties to do row-down calculation with saving technique. Dealing with this problem, this research was intended to reveal the effectiveness of game flash penjumlahan program to improve calculating ability of the children with learning disabilities in the third grade of SDN 15 Ulu Gadut Padang.This was an experimental research which applied Single Subject Reseacrh and A-B-A design. The data gathered were analyzed by using visual analysis of graphic. The subject of the research was the children with learning disabilities. The variables were measured by using percentage technique. The results of the research showed that the children with learning disabilities score in the baseline (A1) condition which conducted in seven meeting was 0%, in intervention (B) condition that consisted of ten meetings was 90%, and in the baseline (A2) condition that consisted of six meetings was 90%. The result of within-condition analysis and inter-condition analysis indicated that the stability tendency and the direction tendency improved. In addition, the percentage of the data overlaped was low. Based on these results, it was concluded that the use of game flash penjumlahan program was effective to improve calculating ability of the children with learning disabilities. Therefore, it was suggested to the teacher to apply game flash penjumlahan program to teach calculation topics. Keywords  :  game flash penjumlahan program, calculation, children with learning disabilities

Department of Special Education.This study was motivated by the problems that the researchers found, a child learning disabilities experience obstacles IV class X in mathematics. Based on the assessment results known to the child have problems in arithmetic operations especially with the reduction in borrowing techniques. Based on this background of researchers working to help improve children's ability in arithmetic operations through the reduction of Inquiry Training.This study aims to improve the ability of arithmetic operation subtraction with borrowing through the Inquiry Training techniques children learn berkesulitan Sarik SDN 02 Gunung Padang. The research is a Single Subject Research (SSR). This research uses design A-B-A.From the research shows that the arithmetic operation capability reduction berkesulitan children learn in grade IV SDN 02 Gunung Padang Sarik, increased after the intervention using a given model of Inquiry Training. At baseline conditions were carried out for six sessions, no success is achieved the frequency of children. On the condition of intervention using Training Inquiry, conducted over eight times the frequency of meeting the child's success in answering the question reached ninety. Whereas in the baseline condition (A2) after the intervention is no longer granted performed during five meetings, the child is able to maintain the operating capability of reduction to obtain a frequency count reaches ninety success. Thus the formulation of the problem raised Inquiry Training missed that effectively increase the operating capability reduction with techniques borrowed for children fourth grade learning disabilities Sarik SDN 02 Gunung Padang.

Abstract

This research was initiated by a student with visual impairment named X studying at MAN 2 Payakumbuh. X had totally visual impairment since he was born. Unfortunately, during his study, he was never accompanied by a Special Companion Teacher. In addition, none of the teachers teaching in the school had training on special education, so that the teachers did not know the strategies used to teach the students with visual impairment. Nevertheless, X was still able to gain a proud achievement. He won several competitions in Mathematics and went to national level.                This research used descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected through observation, interview and documentation study. The subject of the research was a student with visual impairment in class XII Agama 2.                The results of the research revealed that the ability of X during Mathematics learning process was very good. To learn, he maximized his auditory ability and he did not arrange special schedule for study. While studying in the classroom, there was no special service or certain media used to help X. He took note on important materials by using his own words. Furthermore, he had additional time to learn at school. At home, X reviewed the learning materials he had learnt by reading his note-book, listening to the recorded materials given by the teacher, listening to his friends reading the textbooks, and search for the materials in internet. In the examination, X did not take the exam together with his friends, instead, he took the test alone and listened to the teacher reading the test items. Abstract

Abstrak: This research was due to the fact that there were some problems found at elementary schools in Kecamatan Payakumbuh Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. From the preliminary observation at two elementary schools in Kecamatan Payakumbuh, it was found that every year, there were always a number of students who were not qualified to continue to the next grade. Unfortunately, the learning problems that the students had were yet identified by the homeroom teachers as well as the special need education teachers. As a result, the services done by teachers at schools were not directed to help those students yet. Based on those premilinary research findings, this research was done to find out the prevalence of students with learning disability in order to make the teachers services more directed. The result of research analysis showed that from 647 students, 151 of them (23,3%) were having the learning disability in reading, 295 of them (45,6%) were having the learning disability in writing, and 83 (12,8%) were having the learning disability in calcuting. Keywords; Prevalence, learning disability.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is the difficulty a child read the word vowels. Smart Reading method is a method of learning to read without spelling to children easy, fast, effective and fun. The purpose of this study is to prove the effectiveness of smart methods to improve reading ability to read words vowels. This type of research is Single Subject Research with ABA design. The results showed an effective reading smart method to improve reading skills of children said vowels difficulty reading at SDN 01 Limau Manis Padang.
