Abstract

Arto Moro in Padang Kubin, Kabupaten 50 Kota is a household mice industry engaged in productions of palm sugar. The marketing of Arto Moro palm sugar products already covers most of the traditioanal markets in Kabupaten 50 Kota and Payakumbuh. Arto Moro wats to expand its product to modern shopping areas. However, packaging of palm sugar products still traditionally using dried leaves. Therefore, Arto Moro needs a package to support sales in the modern market. The purpose of this design is produce an attractive packaging, informative, and communicative so that can support the sale of products to modern market.The methods used in this packaging design is SWOT analysis method (Stregth, Weakness, Opportunity, Treatment) to find the design solution. The palm sugar packaging Arto Moro will be designed with a modern concept, elegant, simple but stil shows the traditional impression.This design produces a distinctive packaging that makes it easy for consumers to recognise. Leter packaging will also be supported by other media such as poster, x-banners, pron, invoices, business cards, stikers and paper bags as a media to support Arto Moro’s business activities.Key words: Design, Packaging, Arto Moro

Abstract

E-beach cafe was established on June 7, 2014 which is located on the Nasri Nasar Pariaman street, sand, Central Pariaman, Pariaman City near the tourist attraction of the Pariaman beach. A better promotion is needed to attract more customers to come to E-Beach Cafe. One of the promotions that can be done is by website media. The purpose of this promotion as a manifestation of the desire of the author so that e-beach cafe has a media promotion in the form of website design that aims to create informative and communicative information media, so that the existence of e-beach cafe can be known to the public.The analysis method used in the promotion of e-beach cafe uses the SWOT analysis method (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat). The orientation of developing e-beach cafe web design ideas includes the main media in the form of website design and supporting media in the form of menu lists, t-shirts, posters, mugs, x-banners, flagchain, business cards, stickers, and pins. It is expected that with the design of this web design can have promotional media in the form of website media aimed at creating informative and communicative media, so that the existence of e-beach cafes can be known to the public and increased sales turnover from e-beach cafes.Key Words : Design, Web, Website, E-Beach Café.

Abstract

The purpose of this design is to provide encouragement to teens in overcoming the dangers of playing excessive online games. The design method used is the glass box method which is a rational and logical design, and through several stages that are considered by the designer.Designing interesting and well-conveyed motion graphics, the designer conducts research and data collection by observing, interviewing and studying literature. With this problem the solution to overcome the dangers of online games in adolescents is to socialize audio visual form of motion graphics about the dangers of playing online games for adolescents in the city of Padang. This design is supported by several supporting media such as: Poster, T-shirt, Totebag, Key Chain, Sticker, Notebook, CD Cover and CD Label.Kata Kunci : Motion Graphic, Game Online, ILM, a Teenager, Padang City.

Abstract

One of the companies engaged in digital media is Padang Ekspres Digital Media, or commonly known as Padek.co. Padek.co is a news and e-paper portal company from West Sumatra which was established in 2014 which can be accessed via multiplaform such as websites, mobile apps on Android and IOS. Since its inception Padek.co already has a logo, but the logo does not function well in the promotion process that is carried out, as a result the promotional media that is designed is not consistent so that Padek.co does not yet have a characteristic of its visual identity. Efforts to redesign the Padek.co logo are needed to keep this company in the position of consumers.The method used in this design is SWOT analysis by finding strength, weakness, oppurtunity and threat. Begins with the interview stage with the founder and observation to the Padek.co office to collect the data needed in this design process.The design produces the main media in the form of a logo that is designed in a manual book or a logo guide. The main media will be equipped with supporting media including manual books, business cards, mugs, pins, t-shirts, posters, x-banners, stickers and hats.Keywords: padek.co, redesign, logo, positioning.

Abstract

The development of the Pasar raya market as a convenient and modern trade facility has become a shopping necessity for the people of Padang. But it has not been supported by adequate information infrastructure, and the optimal sign system in the Padang Block III Pasar Raya, so that it is feared that it will confuse visitors. The purpose of designing the Padang Block III Pasar Raya sign system can guide and provide information, directions will a place for traders and visitors in the market block III city of Padang, which consists of the Identification Sign, Direction Sign and Information Sign. The design method is 4-D (Four-D Models). with the analysis approach is 5W + 1H (what, who, where, when, why and how) to find the solution for the problems. This design produces three sign systems as the main media Identification Sign, Direction Sign and Information Sign, and the support media that is used to support the main media are stickers, posters, banners, infographics and outdoor mapping, as supporting main media and as promotional media.Keywords: Sign System, Informative, Communicative, Effective, Pasar Raya.

Abstract

The purpose of the business guide book Café Coffe Robusta Perahu Depo Resto, based on observations on current conditions, so as not to show a manual book that can be known by the public or consumers, in addition to business competitors Cafe Coffe Robusta Boat Depo Resto that developed in Pagaralam Palembang. The purpose of this design is to create a manual book in the form of logogram and logotype information on Café Coffe Robusta Perahu Depo Resto products.The design method used is the Glass Box method, the design is done rationally and logically, starting from data collection, interviews and observation. The analytical approach used is the 5W + 1H analysis method (what, who, where, when, why, how) to find a solution to the problem at hand.The results of the design of the main media Café Coffe Robusta Perahu Depo Resto are manual books, as well as supporting media namely, sign boards, menu lists, clothes, aprons, posters, x-banners, mugs, stickers, pins, which aim to strengthen the application of the main media.Keywords : Manual Book, Brand, and Café Coffe Robusta Perahu Depo Resto.

Abstract

The incident of resistanc kenagarian Manggopoh and vicinity in 1908 what is called the Manggopoh War whose against Dutch economic policy money tax “belasting” and other factors. The Manggopoh War led by a brave woman named Siti who succeeded in defeating 53 people Dutch troops, but she had to surrender later for his people at Manggopoh. The purpose of this design produced an illustrated story book to symbolize a struggle being fought with tittled “Siti Manggopoh Pahlawan yang Terlupakan”. The purpose of this illustrated story book is to identify as female warrior in West Sumatera, engendered a reading interest in children, and can take a good lessons from heroes’ stories.This theory is used as a supporter in the refining of the illustrated story book Siti Manggopoh pahlawan yang terlupakan. The design method used is the glass box method of rational, optimistic thingking without sentiment factors. This illustrated story book was created to reintroduce this heroic figure to children and also to inspire children to make changes, either in the form of leadership or in the attitude of achieving a goal. The result of this design use the main medium of an illustrated story book because it explains the actual plot of the story and the supported media used as x-banner, poster, t-shirt, bookmarks, mugs, and stikers.Keywords : Design, The Illustrated Story Book, Siti Manggopoh

Abstract

Kabupaten Tanah Datar is rich in cultural tourism, because the history of the Minangkabau itself is common in the Tanah Datar district. The lack of optimalizing of information and communication about Tanah Datar cultural Heritage tourism cause of the lack of interest Visitors. On the observations, condition, and facts, effective, informative and interesting promotions are really needed, so there are no more confusion of tourists about the location of cultural Heritage tourism sites.The Booklet as the final work aims to design an interesting and informative information in order to attract tourists visit cultural heritage tours in Tanah Datar district and expectto able develop tourism in Tanah Datar district.The design method using the Glassbox method, this method of rational thinking that objectively and systematically examines things logically and is free of irrationall thoughts and considerations (irrational).Booklet design as the main media and supported by the bus branding media, an ojek helmet sticker branding, t-shirts, totebags,x-banners, mugs and stickers that are useful as supporting the main media.Keyword : Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Promotion, SWOT Analysis, Booklet

Abstract

The Developing of Curriculum at elementary school nowadays has demanding the students to be more focused to their main lessons, with the result that their cultural lessons slowly fading throughout the time, The using of motion graphic to introduce them Tambo of Minangkabau on elementary school is the creative idea to make the cultural lessons are still interesting for elementary school students. The Description of Tambo with Motion graphic are one of thestrategies to draw enthusiasm of the elementary school students in studying Minangkabau’s Culture.The Motion graphic’s Design of The Tambo Alam the Origin of Minangkabau’s Ancestors as a Learning Media of Minangkabau Culture with Glass Box Method, which is attempting to find the Facts, or the Cause also the Factual Reason of the main cause of an event to find some alternate solutions upon the facing problems. The Design is doing by multiple stages such as collecting data, analysis and Design data. The Data Gathering are doing by interviews, While the Analysis are using 5W+1H, obtained by gathering data from Observation.The Design of Minangkabau Tambo’s Motion graphic will produce a media such as Animated  Video in form of Motion graphic, with its function as the media in learning process of  Minangkabau Culture.
