Abstract

This paper aims to (1) describe the categories of forms of dysphemia use contained inIndonesian soccer commentators. (2) describe the taste value of dysphaemia contained inthe Indonesian soccer commentator. This research used qualitative descriptive method.The data in this study were the words of the Indonesian soccer league commentator.Subjects in this study were sentences containing words, phrases, and taste of dysphaemiain Indonesian soccer league commentators. The object of this study is the worddysphaemia in the soccer commentator Indonesia. The source of the data comes froma video recording of an Indonesian soccer league commentator. Techniques of datacollection used techniques to listen to Indonesian commentator of a football videorecording. The next technique used the technique of recording, the recorded technique isto record conversations of soccer commentators, and then researchers can easily identifythe forms of dysfemia contained in the soccer commentator Indonesia League that hasbeen recorded previously. The results reveals (1) The words (verbs, adjectives, and nouns)(2) in the form of phrases (verva phrase, adjective phrase, noun phrase) and (3) tastevalue (frightening, horrible, disgusting and scary) in the video recording.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan perbandingan variasi Bahasa Jawa di Daerah Tonjong dan Paguyangan Kabupaten Brebes Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dengan menggunakan  metode padan, survei, wawancara dan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data simak, dengan menyurvei dan menyimak secara langsung bahasa sehari-hari yang digunakan oleh masyarakat atau informan yang akan diteliti. Terdapat ragam masalah dalam variasi bahasa dalam penelitian ini seperti; (1) Letak geografis yang masih sama daerah dataran tinggi dan masih satu kabupaten. (2) Tidak terpaut jarak yang jauh ± 25 KM. (3)  Bahasa jawa yang digunakan sehari-hari berbeda. Penelitian ini bertujuan;  (1) Untuk mendeskripsikan variasi bahasa dialek antara daerah Tonjong dan Paguyangan, Kabupaten Brebes (2) Untuk membedakan identitas masyarakat daerah Tonjong dan Paguyangan melalui bahasa sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan tujuh variasi fonem vokal Bahasa Jawa Daerah Tonjong dan Paguyangan yaitu /a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/, / Ə/, / ȯ/. variasi vokal Bahasa Jawa Daerah Tonjong dan Paguyangan memiliki tujuh variasi fonem vokal yaitu /a/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/, / Ə/, / ȯ/. Sepuluh variasi fonem konsonan tunggal yaitu /d/, /c/, /g/, /k/, /l/, /m/, /n/, /p/, /r/, /s/. Empat fonem konsonan raangkap yaitu /dh/, /gr/, /ng/, /ny/. Enam bentuk variasi secara keseluruhan yaitu, badheg=apek, renang=ngelangi, gelut=tukaran, yen kwe=semono, lesu=kencot, ngempeng=nyusu.Kata Kunci : perbandingan variasi bahasa jawa, variasi fonologis.

Abstract

This fnal project presents the analysis of gestures found in “A Quiet Place” flm. Themain purposes of this research are (1) to fnd out the kinds of gestures found in “AQuiet Place” flm (2) to analyze the function of gesture found in “A Quiet Place” Film.The method of this research is descriptive qualitative research. For collecting the data,the researcher should watch “A Quiet Place” Film. After watching flm, the researchershould fnd out the kinds of gesture in another journal or books then analyzing thekinds of gesture that found in “A Quiet Place” flm. The researcher found the kinds ofgesture that written by David McNeill and Levy 2005. There are four dimensions of theprevious researcher about the kinds of gesture: Iconic, Metaphoric, Deictic, and Beats.That are the kinds of gesture that the researcher will analyze based on the flm. The fourkinds of gesture is importance for balancing the speakers meaning when they talk, andwhen the speakers did not allow to speech or using their sounds. Study about gesture isimportant, as a student of English education the researcher took this subject because itrelated to cultural understanding and linguistics. The researcher chose “A Quiet Place”flm that relating to this research. “A Quiet Place” is an American post-apocalyptic horrorflm directed by John Krasinski in 2018, who wrote the screenplay with Bryan Woods andScott Beck. The flm stars Krasinski, alongside Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, andNoah Jupe. The plot revolves around a family struggling to survive in a post-apocalypticworld inhabited by blind extraterrestrial creatures with an acute sense of hearing. A QuietPlace premiered at South by Southwest on March 9, 2018, and was released in the UnitedStates on April 6, 2018, by Paramount Pictures. This is one of the flm which is not havingany conversations. The characters are used gestures for communication. The researchersuggested the readers to be more understanding about gesture, and also the researchersuggested the future researcher that another drama or flm could be selected to nextresearcher and they could explain more about this subject because the gestures is notonly about non-verbal communication, it is related to another theory of body language.

Abstract

TThe theory of hierarchy of needs developed by Abraham Harold Maslow consists offve levels of needs, namely at the lowest level of physiological needs, the second levelof safety needs, the third level of love and belonging needs, the fourth level of esteemneeds and the highest need is the need for self-actualization. Maslow describes humansas creatures that have never been in a state of satisfaction. If a need has been satisfed,then other needs will appear demanding satisfaction, and so on. This study analyzes themain character, Yossarian, in Joseph Heller's Catch-22 novel, which is then related tothe hierarchy of Yossarian needs. From the results of the analysis it can be seen thatphysiological needs can be met properly, while the needs for safety are not at all obtainedby Yossarian. As a result of not meeting the needs of the second level, the needs of thethird to ffth level cannot be fulflled properly

Abstract

This paper aims to describe more detailed information about the relationship ofhandwriting and the human brain is very close to handwriting can be used as one tool tostudy the human character. The study used a documentation in the form of photocopyof several application letter of job. The data already obtained in the previous stage is thenanalyzed. The process of this analysis is done by comparing handwriting with referencegraphology books. The data that have been analyzed further presented the results in thereport in the form of a complete description descriptively related to graphology analysisin the writing of job application letter in PT. Holi Karya Sakti Grobogan district. Theresults show that conclusions as follows (1) Comparative handwriting test with referencegraphology book allows users to know the characters they have. (2) This comparison testmakes it easy for users to get information related to human characters from handwriting,as well as to provide some graphological insight.

Abstract

Contrastive linguistics (対 象 言語 学 ish taishou-gengogaku ’) which is also calledcomparative linguistics is a linguistic study that is intended to describe two differentlanguages. Contrastive verbs are verbs that are derived from verbs to contras. ContranstiveAnalysis (Anakon) is an activity that attempts to compare the structure of language(B1) and structure of language (B2) to facilitate language differences. The purpose ofcontrastive linguistic study is to fnd out the form of contrastive analysis of tenses (Kala)and aspects of Japanese with Indonesian. In this study, the authors used a qualitativedescription which the translation was carried out using words or sentences that ft theresearch categories to obtain conclusions. The results showed that there are many markersof aspects and several tenses in Japanese, but in this study, only modality markers werediscussed which discussed the aspects of perfective, continuous aspects, and resultativeaspects. In certain contexts, researchers can still be confused about the marking aspectsof ~te as there are various aspects that can use these markers.
