The purpose of writing this paper is to describe the process of collecting dissertation titles index (S3) annotated education period 2008-2012 at Padang State University Graduate Library. Datawere collected through observation and direct participation by collecting data directly from the original source. Analyzing data is done by descriptive. By analyzing the data, it was concluded that: the making of the title index is conducted on a dissertation that subjek education. Dissertation indexed taken from years 2008-2012, amounting to 29 titles. The process of creating an annotated index dissertation title starts with searching for information on a dissertation that will be indexed, selecting and classifying dissertation, recording data, making annotations, specify keywords, create indexes dissertations, and typed index. Dissertation titles index arranged alphabetically title, author index, and is equipped with a keyword index.

The purpose of this paper to determine the attitude towards the service user at the library circulation Padang State University. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with users at the Library of the Padang State University. The study's finding share, first, the attitude towards the service user's circulation, which tends to be positive because the service is good and easy to do. Second, the attitude of users towards circulation librarian, which tend to be negative because the librarian was not friendly and the information is sometimes not clear. Third, the user attitude towards the collection in circulation services at the library, which is likely to be negativebecause of the number of collections that are not varied and irregular arrangement are difficult for users to find the required book. Fourth, the user attitude towards service rules circulation, which tends to be positive because these rules are not arbitrary student with leeway given library. Fifth, the user attitude towards the service time of circulation, which is likely to be negative because the clock does not match the needs of service users. Sixth, the user attitude towards a given facility library circulation services, which tend to be positive because the rooms were quite comfort and fast search tool and easy to use. The purpose of this study was (1) describe the process of acquisition of library collections in tfaced in the procurement process library materials, (3) attempt to overcome these constraints. The data of this study is the acquisition of library materials in KAPD Padang. The data source of this research is the primary source of oral sources as spoken directly by informants as the original speakers. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The findings of the study conducted acquisition of library materials KAPD city of Padang is onlhe Archives, Library and Documentation Padang, (2) determine the constraints y done through purchase, gift/donation as library materials acquisition.

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) The circulation service system which use by SMK Tamansiswa Padangâ€™s library, (2)The obstacle which faced by librarian at SMK Tamansiswa. Data were collected through observation and interviews with staff librarian at SMK Padang Tamansiswa. Analyzing the data can be describe. The purpose of this study was to describe the procurement, processing and forms of serial publications service, as well as the obstacles that cause has not been optimal management of serial publications in the Library of Unand. This research is a qualitative and use descriptive method. The data obtained by direct observation, interview and literature. The study's findings are management of serial publications in Library of Unand not optimal. This is caused by several things, namely: the procurement serial publications is generally sourced from the prize, processing serial publications that has not been good and the search tool is not available, the form of serial publications service a limited, and the problems encountered by the Library of Unand in managing the serial publications includes: (1) insufficient funds and the management of centralized budgeting, (2) the librarian of serial publications is not library educational background, (3) lack of facilities such as a computer that can support the management of serial publications, (4) the head of the library is less motivating his subordinates, (5 ) promotion of serial publications is made less, (6) not timely arrival of publications serial makes that collection be administered up to date for all library users.

The purpose of this study was: (1) describe the source of procurement of library materials in the Library of the Polytechnic of Agriculture Unand Payakumbuh, (2) describing the obstacles encountered Unand Payakumbuh Agricultural Polytechnic Library in the procurement of library materials and solutions. This study aimed to describe: (1) automation system working procedure in mengautomasikan Politani Library activities, (2) the policy provided by the library to automate the activities especially in pengentrian Library Politani data, and (3) human resources contained in Library Politani. Data were collected through observation and interviews with staff and former chairman Politani Library. Analyzing the data be descriptive. Based on observations and interviews obtained the following findings. (1) the implementation of work procedures in the library automation system Politani enough, from the preparation to the use of automation systems. It's just not a consideration of the completeness of the hardware and human resource capabilities in the preparation process. The lack of consideration of the distance to the survey process. (2) Policy to automate activities in the library is still lacking because Politani automate policy activities at the library as just training. Politani library also requires the addition of a complete infrastructure and facilities in the development of automation systems, automation system development in order to function optimally. (3) The ability of the human resources Politani library is still limited in terms of library automation. This is due to the lack of human resources library master the basics of computer hardware and software. In addition, the lack of knowledge about the information technology staff, making it difficult to develop automation.

This research aims to describe (1) the level of use of the school library as a learning resource center elementary school students Painan 23 North, (2) The school library which includes a collection of libraries, library collections and processing, library services, facilities and infrastructure perpustakaanSD N 23 North Painan as a learning resource center. Writing this using qualitative methods, analyzing the data carried by describing and explaining data. Data were collected by interview and observation. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded. (1) the existence of SD State Library 23 North Painan as a learning resource center is still not optimally utilized by teachers and students, (2) implementation of the Elementary School Library 23 North Painan not optimal, because the collection is owned by the SD State 23 North Painan still minimal. Processing the collection has been done although not optimal because there is a special librarians administer libraries yan. Library services are still constrained by the short time the library is open at rest. While the elementary school library Painan 23 North has a good infrastructure, but has not been fully utilized.Keywords: utilities; learning resource center

This paper focuse to the factors which influence satisfaction of the users in the Library of Kopertis Region X. This study aimed to describe the factors that influence satisfaction to the users Kopertis Region X. Data were collected through observation and interview to the visitors who came to the library of Kopertis Region X. The description of the data was analized by the research. It was concluded as the following. First, the librarians at the library of Kopertis Region X who has done a good job, although sometimes librarians have not been able to fully satisfy users. Second, the collection was not completely available in the Library of Kopertis Region X. Third, facilities and infrastructure in the Library of Kopertis Region X was also not completely available, such as tables and chairs that can be used to study and read.

In this article, the composition of newspaper index at the Library of the Post Graduate Program (PPs) of State University of Padang (UNP) is discussed. This study aims to reveal how to compose the newspaper index. The index creation was accomplished using the Ms-Excel and MS-Word. Data was collected through observation at the Library of PPs UNP. The data was obtained from The Newspaper Clipping of the Library of PPs UNP in 2002 and 2003 as many as 290 articles. The data was in the form of newspaper articles bibliographical data of Kompas, Singgalang, Republika, Media Indonesia, Harian Haluan, and Ganto. The recorded bibliographical data items were the title, name of newspaper, the day of issue, the date of issue, and page. Since the subject of the whole article is educational, the entries of the index were classified by using the third summary of class 370 (education) of DDC. The entries were sorted by the subjects and the titles. The keyword index taken from the words in the articleâ€™s title was included in the index.Keywords: newspaper; index; Ms. Word
