This article aims to describe the design of promotional library media in Universitas Negeri Padang Library. Data collected through direct observation and interviews with Employees Universitas Negeri Padang Library, as well as literature using books and reading are considered important. Analyzing data descriptively. Based on analyzing the data, it was concluded library media campaign can be designed using CorelDraw application program. The aspects that must be considered and should be made is the physical form, illustration, text, typography, and color. The draft media campaign should be designed to attract. Use short sentences, clear, solid, and are important information. Media campaigns can be designed is a brochure, bookmarks, calendars library, libraries pins, bags library, library glasses, clothes library, library umbrellas and posters. Writing this article aims to describe: (1) development strategy village library to increase public interest in the Library Nagari Solok Kampung Jawa; (2) constraints and efforts are found in increasing public interest in the village of Kampung Jawa Solok; Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians Library Nagari Kampung Solok City Java. Analyzing data descriptively. Based on analyzing the data, we can conclude it - as follows. First, the library development strategy to increase public interest in reading has been done, it can be seen from the activities carried out by the library as read poetry competition elementary level, bookmobile, creating an atmosphere of reading, and library exhibitions. Second, problems were found in increasing public interest in the Library Nagari Kampung Solok City Java are: (1) the lack of library collections; (2) a library room that has not been ideal; (3) lack of human resources. Third, efforts are being made to increase public interest are: (1) increase the collection of library materials; (2) creating an ideal library room, because there is no barrier between the reading rooms, shelves and space collection librarian; (3) adding human resources.Â Keywords : development strategy, village library, public interest

Writing this article aims to describe (1) the implementation of electronic filing in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi; (2) obstacles in the implementation of electronic filing in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi; (3) efforts should be made so that the implementation of an electronic archive goes well at the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi. Data collected by observation and interviews with archivists and the study of literature in the implementation of electronic filing in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation of Bukittinggi. Data analysis was done descriptive. Based on the discussion, it can be concluded that (1) the activities in the implementation of electronic filing in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi starting scan archived data, data entry, edit data, and publication of archives; (2) there are still obstacles encountered in the Application of Electronic Records in the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi; (3) the efforts made by the Office of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Bukittinggi namely: improving infrastructure, enhancing human resources by means of training and education and broaden through the media. The purpose of writing this article is to describe: 1) evaluation of reference services; (2) determine the obstacles encountered in implementing the evaluation of reference services; and (3) determine the efforts to overcome obstacles encountered in the evaluation of reference services at Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data collected by observation and interviews with librarians and user library in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data analysis was done descriptive. Based on the results of the research, concluded as follows: (1) evaluation conducted by the reference services of Library and Archives routine yet, so there are still shortcomings in service; (2) there are still obstacles encountered in implementing the evaluation of reference services, so that the service provided is not maximized; and (3) efforts to be made by Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat in overcoming these obstacles. The purposes of this article are to describe:(1) processing of official government publications in the Library Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatera Province; (2) obstacles in processing official publications in the Library of the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatera Province; (3) efforts should be made so that the processing of official government publication goes well in the Library of the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatera Province. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians Library Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatra Province. Analyzing data descriptively. Based on analyzing the data, we can conclude the following matters. First, the processing of official government publications in the Library of the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatera Province has not been processed properly. Secondly, there are obstacles encountered in the processing of official government publications. Third, efforts to overcome these obstacles are the processing of official government publications in the Library of the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy of West Sumatera Province.Â Keywords: Government Publication

Writing this article aims to: (1) determine the existing facilities and infrastructure in the library SMPN 1 Batang Anai and (2) the effect of library facilities and infrastructure to the interest of students visit the library at SMPN 1 Batang Anai. The research method is done through a descriptive study using a quantitative approach. Data was collected through observation by direct observation, whereas for the interview addressed to the head of the library, for the writers questionnaire submitted to 90 students SMP N 1 Batang Anai school year 2014/2015 the study sample. Based on analyzing the data we can conclude (1) infrastructure library of SMP N 1 Batang Anai still inadequate. It can be seen from the vast size of the building is not in accordance with the provisions of the National Library in 1998/1999, as well as the lack of equipment needed; (2) the facilities and infrastructure that exist in the library SMPN 1 Batang Anai greatly affect students' interest, it can be seen from most of the respondents (61.11%) stated that the cause of lazy students visit the library because the library facilities and infrastructure that have not adequate, such as less comfortable library room and stifling. The purposes of this article are to describe: (1) librarian effort to increase the reading interest of children in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat; (2) the problem faced by librarian to increase the reading interest of children in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Data were collected by interview wiht the officer of Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat and observation. Based on this research, there are some summary. They are: (1) librarian effort to increase the reading interest of children in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat were, provide facilities and infrastructure, periodically updating collections of books, provide special services for children, cozy room design, cooperation with schools, add librarian that work in children service; (2) the problem faced by librarian to increase the reading interest of children in Badan Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Provinsi Sumatera Barat were, table and chair are limited, children playground is not yet available, lack atention of children to reading, activity room children inadequate, room paint colour does not interesting, lack of librarian on childrenâ€™s service.Keywords: Kata kunci: Effort, problem, interest, reading
