Abstract

This paper discussed about statistics in general Public Library of Gunung Bungsu Tanah Datar  2013-2015 as a means of comparison information and materials in the Public Library of Gunung Bungsu Tanah Datar. This paper also aims to describe the statistics in the Public Library of Gunung Bungsu as a means of information and comparison at the Public Library of Gunung Bungsu Tanah Datar. The process of data collection is done with the study of documents by collecting data directly from the original source, that is by doing interviews and observations in the Public Library of Gunung Bungsu Tanah Datar. Abstract

This paper discussed about the creation of the Institute of Technology Padang Library website. This paper aims to describe how to manufacture Padang Institute of Technology Library website.The method used is descriptive method with data collection through observation or direct observation to the Library Institute of Technology Padang, interviews, and literature. From observations and interviews conducted in the library Institute of Technology Padang then collected some data as material to design websites that serve as a media campaign Padang Institute of Technology Library. Based on the discussion in the creation of websites in the Library of the Institute of Technology of Padang, we can conclude the following matters. First, the technology has become so prominent in all fields, as well as a library. Second, the design of this website is static application using CodeIgniter Framework (CI), which is one of the specially designed software in designing a simple website and install a local web server as a liaison and support in making a website using Wamp Server.Keyword: website,  library, Institute of Technology Padang

Abstract

This paper discussed about how special Manuscript Preparation Tale Directory Minangkabau in Adityawarman Museum. Writing paper aims to describe the process of making a special codex directory Minangkabau at the Adityawarman Museum. The method used is descriptive method performed by field observations, interviews, and collect data directly from the original source, which is a special collection of ancient manuscripts at the Museum contained Adityawarman. Based on the discussion can be concluded the stage of making a directory codex Minangkabau Museum Adiyawarman are as follows : (1) the collection of ancient manuscripts specifically saga Minangkabau, (2) details of the number of ancient manuscripts specifically saga Minangkabau, (3) how the preparation in the manufacture directory codex special Minangkabau. The constraints in the manufacturing directory Minangkabau codex saga is as follows: (1) the title of the manuscript is unknown, (2) the manuscript ready unknown author, (3) difficult determine how many pages of ancient manuscripts Minangkabau.       Keyword: manuscript, Minangkabau, Museum Adiyawarman

Abstract

This paper discussed about records management system in the Procurement Unit of Project Indarung VI of PT Semen Padang. This paper aims to: (1) describe the records management in the Procurement Unit; (2) describe the utilization implementation Procurement Activity and Progress Information in the records management; (3) describe the efforts made to overcome the constraints of the application utilization Procurement Activity and Progress Information in records management. Based on data analysis can be concluded that the management of the archive in the Procurement Unitis still not in accordance with the provisions and rules of good records management. It can be seen from the various obstacles encountered in records management and retrieval of archives as well as the constraints experienced by users in records management using the application Procurement Activity and Progress Information like error and not maximum features available in this application. Archive management in this unit is also more emphasis on the management is electronic compared to manually archive management, management of this kind makes the archive to be neglected. To overcome the problem that occurred in the management of problem-solving efforts should be made to be formulated together.Keywords : Record Management, Procurement Unit

Abstract

This paper is aimed at assessing the effectiveness of library services to People with Visual Impairment in Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato Padang. The method used is descriptive method, that data is collected through observation, interview, and literature study with blind people in the Library users Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato Padang. Based on the results of this study concluded matters as the following. First, the effectiveness of the services contained in the library Social Institution Bina Netra Tuah Sakato not run well because libraries still provide the services that are still in the stage of a standard or simple and the presence of special facilities should be used for people with visual impairment. Second, there are obstacles: 1) lack of effective services that are applied 2) the lack of budget funds in the provision of facilities and materials in the library collections resulted in the ineffectiveness of the library service. 3) the librarian has a friendly attitude and good, but librarians do not have the educational background of library science. Third, efforts made to overcome the above as follows. 1) provide optimal service and add to the library service, 2) proposed budget for facility improvements and additions to the library collection, 3) conduct training for librarians in order to know the ins and outs of the library and the library is able to manage it well.Keyword: effectiveness of services, library services, blind.

Abstract

Based on the research results, we can conclude the following: First, there are facilities Coner Minangkabau books, literature, websites, and presents the writers . Second, obstacles encountered, namely: (1) the limitations of the collection, because Minangkabau Corner newly founded University of Andalas; (2) limited the HR (Human Resources), the views of librarians is limited; (3) rarely visited by pemustaka. Third, efforts are being made to overcome the obstacles, namely: (1) increase the number of collections, by looking into the various villages of Khazana keminangkabauan; (2) the addition of a professional librarian in order to improve the service system; (3) has a trick or appeal, so pemustaka continue to visit and read.Keyword: Service , Library , Minangkabau Corner .

Abstract

This paper discussed how the process of making ceramics collection index as a means of information retrieval in Adityawarman Museum. This paper aims to describe the process of making ceramics collection index contained in Adityawaraman Museum. Their index ceramics collection is certainly going to provide convenience to visitors in search of information about ceramics is needed quickly and accurately. The method of writing this paper uses descriptive qualitative methods and instruments used to obtain data on interviews, observation or direct research of ceramic collections in Museum Adityawarman. From the data analysis through direct observation and documentation, collected as many as 279 collections from 22 different forms / ceramic names contained in Adityawarman Museum. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the index creation takes steps consisting of: (a) track and classify the type of ceramic collections, arranged alphabetically by the name of the collection; (B) the manufacture of ceramic collection description, the name of the collection, place of origin, size of the collection, the type of material, code and registration number of collection; (C) preparation of ceramic index by type and name; (E) the manufacture of ceramic collection index, the index title (the name of a collection of ceramics).Keywords: Manufacture, Indexes Ceramic Collection.

Abstract

This article aims to depict or describe the archive retrieval process using Natadok program in the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh. Data were collected through observation or interviews and literature associated with using descriptive research method which describe or explain the process of the ongoing events during the study. Based on analyzing the data, it can be concluded that the archive retrieval process using Natadok program at the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh as follows: 1) open Natadok app and login using the username and password that has been determined; 2) create a new cabinet or rack if the inputted document archive or no connection with the previous archives; 3) enter new documents; 4) retrieval of records or documents that have been inputted by clicking the edit menu and select retrieval or retrieval by keyword. Problems were found in the archive retrieval process using Natadok program at the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh The program is imperfect in the sense Natadok frequent application errors and lack of socialization of the use Natadok program. Efforts are being made to overcome the obstacles in the archive retrieval process using Natadok program at the Office of Archives and Library Payakumbuh that updating to the latest version of the program in order to avoid further program errors.Keyword: Review, Archive, Program Natadok

Abstract

This paper discusses about creation Directories Surfing Locations in West Sumatera. The purpose of this paper is to describe directories surfing locations in West Sumatra. The method used is: observation, interview and literature study to find out the surf as well as an explanation of what is contained in surfing locations in West Sumatra. Based on data analysis, summarized as follows. First, based on the findings in the field is known that there are 13 surfing locations in West Sumatra. Locations  in different cities such as Padang, Pariaman, Pesisir Selatan and Mentawai islands, each location has a characteristic of each. Second, the limitations of the study in the manufacture directory surfing locations in West Sumatra that is making the site plan that was the starting point is the City Padang. Third, because the locations are far enough away from the city of Padang that the authors make the plan as possible so that users can read the information the floor plan.Keyword: Directories, Location, Surfing, West Sumatera.

Abstract

This paper discussed on Standard Operating Procedures of procurement of library materials in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang. This study aims to (1) describe the SOP procurement of library materials in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang, (2) mendiskripskan constraints found in the application of SOP procurement of library materials at the Institute of Technology Padang, and (3) describe efforts to overcome obstacles in the implementation of SOP procurement of library materials in the library of the Institute of Technology Padang. This research uses descriptive method. ie the data collected through observation, interviews, and study documents in the Library of the Institute of Technology Padang (ITP). Based on the results of this study concluded the following things; First, the application of SOP procurement of library materials in the Library Technology Institus Padang has not done well. Second, the obstacles encountered in the implementation of SOP as follows: (1) some employees have not implemented the SOP in ITP Library; (2) the existence of human error. Third, efforts are being made to overcome the obstacles, namely: (1) the library should seek the presence of a sosiolisasikan SOP procurement of library materials to officers who do not know the SOP in the Library ITP (2) human error due to feeling bored and not in the spirit.Keyword: standar operasional prosedur, pengadaan, bahan pustaka
