Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe (1) the accuracy of the sentence in an argument paper of Class X students of SMAN 3 City Solok terms of proper reasoning, (2) the accuracy of the sentence in an argument paper of Class X students of SMAN 3 City Solok terms of precise language, and (3) the accuracy sentence in an argument paper of Class X students of SMAN 3 City Solok terms of proper reasoning and precise language. The data in this study are sentences in an argument writing class X SMAN 3 Solok. Data collected by the method refer to the written test techniques. The findings in this study as follows: (1) the accuracy of the sentence in an argument essay class X SMAN 3 Solok of reasoning as very precise terms (87.84%), (2) the accuracy of the sentence in terms of linguistic relatively less (26.01% ), (3) the accuracy of a sentence based on indicators of the accuracy and precision of language reasoning as very less (21.28%)

Abstract

This research is intended to describe about: (1) the profile of father in novel Ayahku (Bukan) Pembohong written by Tere Liye; (2) the cultural aspect in novel Ayahku (Bukan) Pembohong written by Tere Liye; (3) the relation between father’s profile in novel Ayahku (Bukan) Pembohong written by Tere Liye and father in reality viwed from literature-sociology. The data in this study was the intrinsic unsures that support the make of novel Ayahku (Bukan) Pembohong. They are characters, plot, setting and theme. The data was gotten from novel Ayahku (Bukan) Pembohong written by Tere Liye, in 299 pages. It was published by Gramedia Pustaka Utama, fourth edition on August 2011 in Jakarta. The finding is the father’s profile that was found on that novel, there are cultural aspect and relation between father’s provile on novel and father in reality.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to (1) describe song spiritual structures indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu describe song spiritual structures indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman and (2 ) describe song physical structures indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. This observational type is observational kualitatif by methodics descriptive. Descriptive method to be utilized to describe song lyric structure indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Observational data collecting tech utilize recording tech to get song lyric indang . Besides recording tech also utilizes tech to note to describe of recording language goes to language to write. Base observational result get as follows been concluded.  First , Spiritual structure. Spiritual structure that exists in song lyric indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, which is theme, feel (feeling ), tone, and mandate.  Both of, physical structure. Physical structure that is revealed in song lyric indang at Nagari Kuranji Hulu Sungai Geringging Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, which is diction, imagination, say konkret, and figuratif's language.

Abstract

This article written to describethe usage of speech strategies, the context of speech act strategy, andthe effect of using speak to the politeness of Minangkabau language in speech act at Kenagarian Tambang Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This data of research command the are speech event and the research of people views about manner or unmanner the spoken. The source of data is people speaker at Kenagarian Tambang Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Data was collected using methods observe, technical record, and technical notes. These following of finding research.(1) The strategy that often in speech act  command of speech directly without any reason, (2) The context often used in speech act is the lower hearer, familiar, and the speech done for two people, (3) speech act strategy which is used by the society at Kenagarian Tambang Kecamatan IV Jurai Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan in command utterance giving a polite effect.

Abstract

There are three the purpose of writing article: (1) describes the form of idioms and the dominant form used  of community  at Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman, (2) describes the meaning of the idiom that are used by society at Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman, (3) describes function of  idiom and the function that  dominant idiom are used by society at  Kenagarian Simpang Tonang Kecamatan Dua Koto Kabupaten Pasaman. Therefore, types of research was choosed descriptive qualitative research method. Result of this research are found 75 idiom that is  full idiom  and idiom partly idioms are also grouped by such constituent words likes constituent words such as, idioms with parts of body, idioms with color, idiom as natural objects, idiom with the name of the beast, idioms with parts of plants, and idioms with the word number. Idiom works to (1) to satirize, (2) praise, (3) express anger, (4) expressing joy or affection, and (5) express sadness.

Abstract

The working paper to describe fatis Minangkabaunes language in Kaba “Rancak diLabuah” from side of its shape and function. The collection of the data done through two main techniques, that is tapping and writing techniques. Tapping technique is known as a basic technique in scrutnizing method, this technique is used to tap the language using in writing method not with the people are talking, while the writing technique is used to write the data related to the shape and fatis function. Analization of the data done by organize and put the data in the right order based on work hippotesa.based on the result of the research, the researcher conludes that first, from the shape, fatis canbedevided 3 offatis particles, 8 of fatis fusions, 6 of fatis words, and 18offatis phrases. Second, from the function of fatis, ithas 5 function thatis, explains, strengthens, convices and start the story/ new paragraph.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the characterizations in the novel works Float Boat novel Ayu Utami and Dewi Lestari paper work. (2) Similarities and differences in the two novel characterizations. (3) The meaning of the characterizations in the second novel. The data in this study is that there are events in the novel that shows the two characterizations. The data source of this research is the novel Paper Boats Float and novels. Data were collected by way of reading, understanding, and then take stock characterizations marks contained in these two novels. The study's findings are contained in the novel characterizations Float Boat Paper 10 figures and 10 figures that have the same four roles of son, friend, lover and mother. Float child character in the novel is closed and dependent, while the character in the novel Paper Boats independent and not dependent. Role as a friend of the novel character Float cool, while the character in the novel Paper Boats attention. Role as the beloved character in a novel Float resigned, while the novel Paper Boats compassionate. The role of the mother in the novel Float loving character, while the character in the novel Paper Boats patient.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were (1) describe the form of directive speech acts are used between children and parents at the hands of Ikur Koto Koto Padang District, (2) describes the strategy used in the recalled directive speech acts between children and parents in Ikur Koto Koto district hands of Padang, (3) describe the context of the situation tells that the use of strategies used in the directive speech acts between children and parents at the hands of Ikur Koto Koto Padang District. The data of this study is a form of directive speech act, speak strategies, and context of the situation said the children and parents at the hands of Ikur Koto Koto district. Source of research data is speech between children and parents who are natives of the area. Data was collected using the methods and techniques refer to the record and advanced engineering techniques as noted. The study's findings, namely directive speech acts between children and parents.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe and analysis the structure, function and context Pasambahan Basigorak in a wedding party in Padang Tangah Payobada, East part Of Payakumbuh district. The data is Pasambahan Basigorak in Padang Tangah. The source of this research is spoken source as the primary source that told by its original speaker. The data is collected using the recording, interview, and writing technique as exetended technique. The founding of the research consist of three founding, is (1) Pasambahan Basigorak’s stucture  consist of opening, body, and closing, (2) the function of Pasambahan Basigorak consist of social function, educational function, moral function, custom function, and language function, the last (3) the contexts are situation and culture contexts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the sociological aspects of the existing characters in the Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. Described the social aspects related to the social process, namely cooperation, competition, dispute or conflict, and accommodation in the novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. Description of the data is decomposed in the form of words and not in the form of numbers. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive methods. Sociological theory literature is mimetic approach. Data was collected by way of inventory data, including the sociological aspects of the characters in the novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata. For data analysis techniques in this study was done by analyzing the data and a description of the data. Based on the analysis of the data can be retrieved conclusion that sociological aspects contained in the novel Cinta di Dalam Gelas by Andrea Hirata is reflected in the figures, especially prominent figures. Figures involved in the social process, namely cooperation, competition, conflict or disagreement, and accommodations. In addition, this study may be the object of teaching in the school, because learning in schools also teach literature to students.
