Abstract

The purpose of this study is to (1) describe the skills to understand the text of the observation report, (2) to describe the skills of writing the text of the observation report, and (3) to describe the correlation of the skill in understanding the text of the observation report and the writing skill of the observation report of the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. The data in this research is the score of comprehension skills and the score of writing skill of the observation report. The source of this research data is the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 31 Padang, amounting to 40 people. Data were collected using descriptive method. The findings of this research is the correlation between the comprehension of the text of the observation report and the skills of writing the text of the observation result of the students of class VII of SMP Negeri 31 Padang. Kata kunci: korelasi, teks, keterampilan, memahami, menulis

Abstract

This research is purposedly done to describe activities of short stories learning implementation in Curriculum of 2013 in the stage of (1) building knowledge of the field, (2) modelling, (3) joint construction of the text, (4) independent construction of the text in SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh. The type of this research is qualitative research which use descriptive method. Observation and interview methods are used in the data collecting proccess. The output of the research shows that the teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh building knowledge of the field by using three kind of activities. They are introduction activity, main activity, and closing activity. Modelling stage is done by giving the students short stories that are cut from newspapers. Joint construction of the text is done in a group by using continue-the-storie technic. The independent construction of the text is done by giving the students different theme of stories, and then they are asked to produce, edit, and publicate the stories in the wall magazine.Kata Kunci: pelaksanaan pembelajaran, Kurikulum 2013, teks cerpen

Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the level of empirical research text writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan without using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy, (2) describe the level of writing skills text empirical research grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies, and (3) describe the influence of the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy against empirical research text writing skills grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan. The theory used in the study of empirical research text writing skills, strategies, and audiovisual media inkuiri. Type of this research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The selected experimental methods i.e. artificial experiments or design with the design experiment quasy static two groups. The population in this research is grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Painan listed in the lesson 2016/2017 of 238 students. A sample of these studies amounted to 32 students. Sampling this research was conducted with the purposive sampling technique. This research data is a score test results of empirical research text writing skills without the use of audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategies and score the test results of empirical research text writing skills using audiovisual media-assisted inkuiri strategy. Kata Kunci: inkuiri, audiovisual media strategy, text of empirical research

Abstract

The aim of the research is to be describe these following two things. First, to describe the structure of story text written by seventh grade students in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. Second, to describe the text of the fantasy story of students’ works. The method that is used is descriptive method. This research was done in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. the data of the research are fantasy story texts collected in many sources such as the documents of 20 fantasy text stories written by the students. Instrument of this research is the writer herself. The data was analyzed by describing the data, than analyzing and discussing them towards the theory. The result of the research is, first, there are three generic structures of fantasy story, they are, orientation, complication, and resolution in the works of the students in Junior High School Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. the second result is there are 273 accuracies of the sentence use and EBI, there are 341 inaccuracies, and 7282 diction accuracy (selected word), and 62 diction inaccuracy (selected word) in the students’ writings. Based on this research, it can be concluded that, the students are able to use the generic structures correctly. It is proved by 20 texts that have been analyzed, and there are 18 texts that use all generic structures correctly. Then, the students are more skillful in using diction (selected word) in their writing than sentences and EBI. Kata kunci: struktur teks, kebahasaan teks, teks cerita fantasi

Abstract

This article of research to describing the comprehension of vocabulary, describing the writing skill of description text, and describing the contribution of  vocabulary towards the skill in writing description text at students grade X SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. The method used is this research is descriptive and correlational design. Based of result data analyze and explanation, were concluded 3 case. First, comprehension of vocabulary students grade at X  SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan was on good qualification (77,43). Second, writing skills of description text  at students grade X SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan was on good qualification (79,01). Abstract

This research is purposedly done to describe the role and position of Bundo Kanduang contained in the novel Negeri Perempuan Wisran Hadi. This type of research is qualitative research with use hermeneutic method. Based on the data analysis, five roles and five forms of Bundo Kanduang position were found in Wisran Hadi's NegeriPerempuan novel, (1) the guardian of the kinship order in Minangkabau, (2) the determinant of the implementation of traditional ceremonies, (3) the form of behavior, (4) voter in deliberation, and (5) a mother. Bundo Kanduang's invisible role is the role of a wife. Furthermore, the position of Bundo Kanduang which appears in the novel, namely (1) limpapeh rumah nan gadang, (2) amban puruak pagangan kunci, (3) pusek jalo kumpulan tali, (4) sumarak dalam nagari, and (5) nan gadang basa batuah. `           Kata kunci: Bundo Kanduang, hermeneutika, kedudukan, peran

Abstract

There are four aims of the reseaech. First, to decribe how is the way to communicate toward the lecture. Second, to describe the principle of languange politeness in sending SMS to the lecturer. Third, to describe the scale of students languange politeness in sending SMS. Fourth, to describe the politeness of student’s languange SMS toward lecturer. This reseaech used qualitative research which   used   descriptive   methode.   It   was   done   at   Universitas   Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin Solok. Abstract

The purpose of this research are four, (1) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of structure function syntax, (2) describe the error in the text of the sentence in terms of wastage the elements of a sentence, (3) describe the errors the sentence in the text of the exposition in terms of word choice, and (4) describe the error text of the sentence in the exposition in terms of spelling grade X SMA Adabiah Padang. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive method. Research data is the wrong phrase in the text of the exposition. Data collection was done through the study of documentation. Based on the findings of the research, the error text sentences in the exposition are in qualified students. Errors found there are four, (1) in terms of the structure of the function syntax in the form of a mandatory element of lack or absence of the item, (2) in terms of wastage elements of a sentence in the form of an overlap the use of predicate, konjungtor, the plural marker, and time, (3) in terms of the choice of words in the form of inaccuracy of the concept, the value of flavor, and the context of use, and (4) in terms of spelling in the form of inaccuracy of the wearing of capital letters, writing words, and punctuation.Kata kunci: kesalahan kalimat, teks eksposisi

Abstract

This article aims to describe the level of writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. Type of this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The results of the research there are three as follows. First, writing skills text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman before using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted model is at a sufficient qualification (C) with an average value of 63.02. Second, the skills of writing text procedures grade VII. 2 SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman after using the techniques resembled audiovisual media-assisted models are on good qualifications (B) with an average value of 84.55. Third, based on the t-test, it was concluded that there is a significant influence in the use of techniques of audiovisual media-assisted models resembled towards writing skills text procedures grade VII SMP Negeri 1 thitung > ttabel because Pariaman (3.810 > 1.67). Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Teknik Tiru Model, Media Audiovisual

Abstract

This article was written to describe the value of character education contained in the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan of Asma Nadia’s work and the implication for the study of the text of the novel. This research is qualitative research with descriptive method. This research are words, phrases, and sentences that show the value of character education derived from the novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan by Asma Nadia, published by Asma Nadia Publishing house Depok in June 2014. Based on the results of analyzing the found as many as 129 values of religious character education, 13 values of responsibility character education, 17 values of mutual character education, 13 values of education are polite, 19 values of charahter education curious, and 19 honest character education value. Based on the results of the discussion it can be seen that the results of this study can be implicated in novel text learning. Kata kunci: nilai, pendidikan karakter, novel Surga yang Tak Dirindukan
