<![CDATA[Forecasting is the effort to predict what will be happen in the future. Forecastingalso applied to estimate the selling volume of our product. There are many typesof forecasting methods. One of them is “trend method”. This type is easy andpractise to used. It began with finding the trend equations (linier, parabolic, andexponential)then examine the trend equations to know their error levels. Thetrend equation with minimum error is the best formula to predict the sellingvolume of our product in the future.]]>

<![CDATA[Inflation and unemployment are the two important variables tosee the economic condition in the country, inflation and unemploymenthave a negative relationship, when inflation rate has increases theunemployment rate will bed crease (phillip curve). Inflation rate alwaysincreasing every year and if the government can’t handle the inflationgrowth its possibly the economic crisis will happen again. This researchaims how the inflation rate influence the unemployment rate during 2002-2012. The analysis shows that there is at least the inflation andunemployment have the significant influence.]]>

<![CDATA[The government expenditure is the instrument used by the government toincrease regional economy. The objective of the research was to analyze thereciprocal correlation of government expenditure with the economy of NorthSumatera. The research was quantitative analytic with secondary data with thetime series obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of North Sumatera.The data were analyzed by using Vector Autoregression (VAR) analysis withImpulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition(FEVD). The result of the research, using lag 1, showed that there was thecontribution of each variable to the variables themselves and to other variables.The variable which had the most effective influence on the economic growth wasgovernment expenditure. The variable economic growth had the most effectiveinfluence on government expenditure on long term.]]>
