However, based on the field studies result, students still have difficulties to understand about poetry concepts. Therefore, researchers have submitted a solution for students to understand that concept of poetry can be easier by applying ‘Metaphorical Thinking’ approach that learns about the knowledge of poetry. The purpose of this research is to find out if Metaphorical Thinking approach is better in helping student to understand concept of poetry more than student who learns using conventional approach. The research method used is quasi experiment which means Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Furthermore, the samples in this research is 20 students of eight-grade from Innovative Al-Ibda Junior High School. Moreover, the technic of data analysis for students test result is by using SPSS 23. Based on the results in SPSS 23, it turned out that experiments class using Metaphorical Thinking approach gained better study result than control class. That result was proved by value Sig 0,000<0,05 in Independent Samples Test table. That result is also accorded with obtaining post-test average value in experiment class which is 80,5 while the average of control class is 64.

Abstract

The recent case of the E-KTP procurement project has attracted a lot of public attention. In this study, the author focused on the object of research on the involvement of the PDI-P Party in this mega corruption case. The PDI-P party is President Jokowi's bearer party in the 2014 presidential election. In this case, Novanto stated that he was involved in this case and even became the main suspect in the E-KTP procurement project. Language tools used as a method in analyzing the object of this research are Framing Analysis. Basically, framing is a method for viewing media telling stories about events. News that contains framing does not mean that the news is false news. In framing a news, the information obtained by a journalist is processed by constructing the contents of the news and presenting it to the public. Some are highlighted and some are excluded. This depends on how journalists interpret an event, and how a fact from that information is written. Keywords: Framing Analysis, E-KTP Procurement Project

Abstract

Learning to edit short story texts is one of the lessons that are difficult for students to master. This is evident when observing the school that students feel difficulty in applying the text according to the grammar in a writing. The purpose of this study is 1) To describe the activities carried out by teachers and students when learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model. 2) To find out the difference between the results of the initial test and the final test of learning to edit the short story text before and after using the think pair share model. 3) To describe students' responses to learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model. The researcher used the pre-experimental design method, while the design of this study was one group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample of the study were conducted in one class, namely class XI with samples of class XI AP 2, amounting to 30 people. The results of teacher activity data on learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model is 92% while student activities are 95%. This shows that the activities of teachers and students run effectively. While the results of the data obtained that there is an increase in the value of students before using the think pair share model on the initial test get an average value of 50 and experience an increase after using the think pair share model on the final test with an average value of 78. There is a difference in the average value students between pretest and posttest is 28. Based on the results of the t-test, the sig value is obtained 0,000, the value is ≤ 0.05. Thus, H1 is accepted and Ho is rejected. Then it can be concluded that learning to edit short story texts using the think pair share model increases students' ability to edit short story texts.

This type of research is qualitative research because the data of this research is news that has been transcribed. Observation and documentation techniques are used to collect data in this research. While the data analysis technique used in this research is based on AWK Faucault’s theory which has two main focuses namely power genealogy analysis and knowledge archeology analysis. From the data analysis that has been done, some conclusions can be described. First, the news made by Detik.com has an argument and descriptive nuance that explains Sandiaga Uno's statement regarding the size of Tempe which is almost the same as ATM card. Second, Detik.com tends to report on the size of Tempe rather than the point of the statement that spoken by Sandiaga Uno. Detik.com, in its news, did not explain that the Tempe is as thin as ATM statement was an analogy, seemed to lead public opinion that Sandiaga Uno had made a lie on the discovery that there was thin Tempe as thin as ATM, so the public judged negatively on Sandiaga Uno's statement.
