Abstract

This article aims to determine whether the use of media images can enhance the activity and learning outcomes of sixth grade students in learning about the natural illustration drawing subjects Culture Art and Skills (SBK) Ulakan Tapakis SDN 16 Padang Pariaman. This type of research is conducted action research (classroom action research) carried out in the 6th grade at SDN 16 Ulakan Tapakis, Padang Pariaman, which is located in the sub-district Rimbo Kerambil-Tapakis Ulakan Tapakis Padang Pariaman.The results showed that the use of Media Images can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. Thus the use of media images can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes to draw illustrations of natural materials around.Keywords: Activity, learning outcomes and drawing illustrations about the nature of media images.

Abstract

As time goes by batik in Riau Province has developed very well, it showed many enthusiasts Riau Malay batik. For example, during an official ceremony in Riau Province officials and many young people wear batik patterned Malay. Batik is widely traded in stores and shopping malls in Pekanbaru. On the other hand a lot of people who do not know the meaning of Riau Malay batik itself. Community only in terms of assessing whether or not the motif used without knowing the philosophy contained therein.This study aims to: 1) Describe the various Malay batik, and 2) describe the various Malay motif of shape, color, placement, composition, and source of ideas Malay batik creation.This research is used to get an idea about the motives and meaning of Malay batik. Based on the purpose of the study, the researchers used a method kualitatif.Selain the research methodology used is a cultural approach (Etnoscience / Cognitive Anthropology) in the social and cultural life by examining the motives and meaning of Malay batik.The results showed that the wear batik motifs by local Riau (Riau motif). Batik motifs themed Riau most herbs like bulk of Mangosteen, Forest Flower, Fan Linga, Give It Up, Bud biting and so forth. Each batik Malay have their respective meanings contained in the motif.Research conclusion that each motif has Riau Malay meaning each basic motifs have meaning grandeur chrysolite floral motifs further interest basis berembang have meaning on the weak need protection while on the basis of floral motifs bridal tears have meaning hospitality to guests.

Abstract

Wisata alam merupakan kegiatan mengunjungi suatu tempat yangmeliputi: pegunungan, sungai, laut, danau dan hutan, yang memiliki keindahan bentuk yang nyata.Penciptaan karya seni ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan karyagrafis yang mengungkapkan suasana wisata alam Kecamatan Kapur IX .Selanjutnya dalam pembuatan karya yang bertemakan “Wisata Alam Kecamatan Kapur IX Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota Dalam Karya Seni Grafis” ini penulis akan menghadirkan bentuk-bentuk, konsep, cara ungkap, dan media dengan lebih menekankan pada penggunaan teknik, penulis akan menggunakan teknik Hard board/cetak tinggi, merupakan teknikdimana proses pencetakannya dilakukan dengan menggunakan papan kayu yang memiliki serat yang halus.Secara garis besar proses penggarapan karyanya meliputi: persiapan, elaborasi, sintesis, realisasi konsep, dan penyelesaian.Kata kunci : Seni Grafis, Wisata Alam, Relief Print

Abstract

Palembang songket is cultural inheritance from ancestor as name, form and motif structure and also the technique of production. As passed, for many people, songket is interesting, but the people just know the name of songket, they do not know the motif of songket. One of the way for developing of traditional songket of Palembang is by knowing the names, the forms, and the motif structure of Palembang traditional songket.The purposes of this research are to: 1) describe the motif names ofPalembang traditional songket, 2) describe the motif forms of Palembang traditional songket 3) describe the motif structures of Palembang traditional songket. The method that is used in this research is a descriptive qualitative, which is a procedure of research for searching and describing situation in the field. The data result is collected by observation, interview and documentation. The samples of this research are the head UPTD of Museum Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang, the artist and cultural observer of songket Palembang, the songket workers, the songket seller and the people that use songket.The result shows that the names of Palembang from Palembang traditional songket come from flora, fauna, and the natural names names (except flora and fauna). The name of Palembang traditional songket’s motif are 1)Limar mentok, 2)Tali air, 3)Tali air lurus, 4)Umpak pangkal, 5)Umpak ujung, 6)Puncak rebung, 7)Puncak rebung keris, 8)Tawur bunga melati, 9)Kucing tidok besak, 10)Ombakombak, 11)Talam, 12)Kembang pita, 13)Tretes, 14)Kembang setaman, 15)Bintang, 16)Rumpak ayam, 17)Pulir bali, 18)Bungo cino, 19)Bungo pacik, 20)Nago besaung, 21)Kemala, 22)Kumpe, 23)Batang bodi and 24)Lidi tigo. The forms of motif Palembang traditional songket are flora, fauna, natural (except flora and fauna) and geometri forms. The motif structures of the Palembang traditional songket are 1) the body of body, 2) the head of songket and 3) the edges of songket.Kata kunci: Nama, Bentuk, Penempatan Motif, Songket Tradisional Palembang

Abstract

This study is aimed to provide an overview on the development of visual and written of songket Batubara motifs and the philosophical meanings of each motif. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. From the research, it can be concluded that the development or change of songket Batubara motifs began around 1970. Old motifs are pucuk rebung, pucuk betikam, tolop berantai, pucuk kol, pucuk pandan and pucuk perak. New motifs are nasi bertabur, bunga tunggal and bunga mawar. Motifs that changed are pucuk rebung, pucuk betikam and tolop berantai. Pucuk Rebung, Tolop Berantai and Pucuk Betikam have the same meaning that illustrates how to behave in the community and how to be a good and wise leader. While Pucuk Kol, Pucuk Pandan dan Bunga Cempaka are an overview of natural resources and as symbolic of this nature. Gigi hiu (Shark teeth) motif is a symbol of the source of income of Batubara society.Keywords: meaning of songket motifs, songket batubara, development of songket motifs

Abstract

The journal is motivated by low ability students in the class carving IX.3 SMP 2 Tanjung Mutiara. One reason is the lack of creative teachers in selecting the appropriate model with the characteristics of the material being taught has not been able to improve students' skills in making carvings. This study aims to improve students' skills in making carving is by using job sheets.Research data obtained from an increase in the ability of students as seen from the first cycle and second cycle. For the observed ability is active students increased from 7.5% to 18%, the ability of the student interaction increased from 7.5% to 32%, the ability of working techniques increased from 7% to 40%, the ability of the form displayed on the 7% increase to 28%, the ability of the neatness of 14% increased to 34%, finishing capabilities of 12% increased to 28%. Thus, learning to make carving the job sheet showed significant improvement and was successful in improving students' ability to make carvings.The results of this study indicate that the use of job sheets can improve students' skills in making carvings. This is evident from the increase in learning outcomes of each cycle is implemented.Keywords: The ability of students, job sheets, learning

Abstract

This study aims to knowing whether the use of Power Point media canincrease motivation and student learning outcomes class VII.6 onlearning skill in SMPN 1 V Koto Kampung Dalam, the district ofPadang Pariaman. This type of research is classroom action researchwith research subjects at class VII.6 in SMPN 1 V Koto KampungDalam. The result showed that use Power Point media can increasemotivation and students learning outcomes with average motivation ofcycle I 3.198 and average of cycle II 3.41 as well as the averagelearning outcomes of cycle I 73.10 and average of cycle II 89.31.Kata Kunci: Media Power Point, Motivasi, Hasil Belajar

Abstract

This article aims to improve learning outcomes ICT VIII.AGrade Students at SMP N 1 Agam Pua River to use Powerpoint. Thisresearch includes classroom action research, which was conducted inApril and May 2014, involving 20 students to 11 students Personfemale and 9 male students.Levels of achievement of learning outcome of students inlearning was observed with increasing student learning outcomes,namely in the first cycle an average of 71.6 (one point six seven) andthe number of students who completed a total of 11 (eleven) personsor 55%, whereas the cycle II average of 76.1 (seven point one six) andthe number of students who completed as many as 18 people or 90%.Seen also in positive activities that increase student learning anddecrease the negative activity. From this study it can be concluded thatthe use of powerpoint ICT can improve learning outcomes of studentsof class VIII. A SMP N 1 Pua River.Keywords: power point, the learning process and learning outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in subjects embroidery in class VII-1 junior Muhammadiah 6 Padang through the implementation of cooperative learning teaching model. Data were collected using the research instruments and observation sheets against 35 students in two cycles. Data were obtained and analyzed using percentages. The results showed that the average value of 65.62 pre cycle rose to 70.61 in the first cycle, and increased again to 77.6 in the second cycle. Our findings suggest that the model of cooperative learning can improve learning outcomes Students learn the embroidery skills of Class VII-1 junior Muhammadiah 6 Padang. It is recommended to teachers sutudi same field or allied to implement this method in the learning.Key words: Cooperative Learning, Peningkatan Hasil Belajar.
