Abstract

The art of writing or calligraphy or better known in Arabic as khat has given a touch of art in learning Arabic. This article describes teaching Arabic with calligraphy. This media is proven to be a stimulant and a tool that teachers use to encourage students' interest to learn Arabic. In the learning process as well as in the form of the work, it has made the Arabic and calligraphy into a unity. The model with a touch of calligraphy art is aimed at learners who are just getting to know Arabic to have a sense of joy and affection to learn Arabic. The impact of pleasure can change the mindset of learners that Arabic is easy and fun.

Abstract

This study is a classroom action research. The purpose of this study was to determine whether learning with using Accelerated Learning model using SAVI approach (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, and Intellectual) can improve learning achievement of Al-Kitâbah of class VIII A students at MTs Negeri Sleman Kota. This research is a Classroom Action Research which is a reflection of learning activities in the form of an act that deliberately and simultaneously appear and occur in a class. This research consists of two cycles to 36 students. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflection. Data collection is done by using observation, interview, test and documentation. The results of this study indicate that learning by using Accelerated Learning model using SAVI approach can improve learning achievement of Al Kitâbah in class VIII A of MTs Negeri Sleman Kota which occurs in two cycles and is implemented in four types of learning, namely somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual.

Abstract

Language is a communication tool that can make people work together and interact with each other. Because language is a means of communication, what is more important in learning the language is how we can use the language to communicate daily. For humans in general, language mastery is a remarkable achievement during one’s life. This study intends to know the use of dictionary and the benefits of the use of dictionaries among students in understanding the meaning of the structure of language in learning Arabic, both in class and outside the classroom. Understanding the meaning of language structure equals understanding the meaning of a word contained in Arabic texts. From the analysis of interviews and observations conducted by me and some of my students, the use of Arabic dictionaries is higher when learning Arabic outside the classroom. And the use of the dictionary itself has benefited both directly and indirectly in understanding the meaning of language structure on Arabic Learning in Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Iman Wonogiri, Central Java

Abstract

This research is a class action research. The research subjects are all students of class XI majoring in Religion at MAN Godean Yogyakarta on academic year 2012/2013. The number of students is 15 people. The results show that: (1) Learning Arabic with Lectora Inspire media can increase student learning interest of class XI Religion major at MAN Godean. This indicates an increased interest in student learning after the end of the action by using Lectora Inspire media; (2) Arabic learning is carried out in computer labs and in classrooms using LCD and projectors. At the time of learning in the computer laboratory, students can learn independently because Lectora Inspire has provided the material accompanied by instruction and practice questions in it, while the teacher only acts as a facilitator which forms student active learning. The material presented through Lectora Inspire comes with various animations, images, colors and sounds, so it does not make students uninterested. During classroom learning sessions, students form discussion groups. There is a discussion guide on Lectora Inspire displayed through the projector; (3) What makes the students feel interested in learning Arabic language using Lectora Inspire media are: the existence of rewards in the form of praise and applause, motivating teachers, and creating an active and fun learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of diorama media and whether there is a significant difference in improving the learning outcomes of Arabic language in terms of the reading skills of class VII students of MTsN Yogakarta I. The test of the instrument using the validity and reliability test showed that 25 test questions all proved valid and reliable with a reliability coefficient of 0.957 for multiple choice and 0.978 for essay. Before the data were analyzed, the data should be tested by kolmogorov smirnov test and Varian analysis test (ANOVA) to know that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, the data were tested with "t" test with paired-samples T test to know the significance of pre-test and post-test of the experiment and control classes and to know the effect or influence of diorama media in improving the learning result of Arabic especially on reading skill of class VII students of MTsN Yogyakarta I academic year 2014/2015. The calculation results show that the significance of 0.000 is less than 0.05 so it is stated as significant. The results show that learning Arabic with diorama media is more effective than book media in helping to improve learning result of Arabic language in terms of reading skill of students of class VII MTsN Yogyakarta I academic year 2014/2015 and there is a significant difference between reading by using diorama media and by reading without diorama media.
