Abstract

ABSTRACT This article analyzes the marginal propensity to consume among Indonesia people as well as linking with the national income and interest rate variables. The analysis showed that the value of the MPC (marginal propensity to consume) among Indonesian people in the period of 1995-2009 has been changed following the volatile economic fluctuations at the time. In the period of 1995 -1998 MPC value is around 0.73, while the value of the MPC in the period 1999-2002 is around 0.39, and the MPC in the period 2004-2009 is around 0.48. These fluctuations are due to fluctuating income and an increase in domestic interest rates that provide a major influence on the fluctuations change propensity to consume. Abstract

ABSTRACT Planning system in Indonesia consists of development planning system and spatial planning system. The first emphasizes on sectoral approach and the second on spatial comprehensive approach. The two systems should be integrated as a basis for developing budget planning and evaluating development performance, but unfortunately it is not carried out fully in practice. Discrepancies of planning time  period, differentiation between focus of planning substances and implementation procedures, and sectoral fragmented planning performance evalution still happened. This paper tries to discuss the integration of the Indonesian planning system and the strategies to solve the problem. Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this study is to analyze the attitudes and talents of students towards teacher profession and their impact on their academic result. The sample of this study was 78 students Economics Education Studies Program in Economy Faculty, The State University of Padang. The data were analyzed with descriptive and multiple regression. The finding of this study indicated that students showed positive attitudes and talents toward teacher profession. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article discusses the strategy for implementation of school based on entrepreneurship in enhancing student autonomy and creativity through school cooperation. The implementation of vocational school based on entrepreneurship requires some strategies. Firstly, we can do it with educational program and practice executed by vocational school and by the activity of school cooperation. Its final purpose is to make vocational school grade have the soul of entreprenueurship and also improve student autonomy and creativity so that they can learn how to compete in creating work field. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between of job characteristic encompassed by four components: (pay satisfaction and career growth, task clarity, skill utilization and task significant) with job satisfaction. The study investigated the relationship of these variables in the municipality of Payakumbuh. The data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires among 93 civil servants of number employees selected through a cluster random sampling. The study findings show that task clarity, skill utilization and task significant have significant relationship with job satisfaction. Kata Kunci: Karakteristik pekerjaan, kepuasan kerja, pegawai

Abstract

ABSTRACT Cheating on test, which is a perennial problem in higher education, is a fraudulent act that could result a blurred evaluation process. This study aims to identify the characteristics of cheating behaviour on test and to analyze determining factors of cheating behaviour among students of Economic Faculty, the State University of Padang. This study was an ex-post facto. The data in this study were collected through quetionnaire and analyzed with descriptive and factor analysis techniques. The results of this study indicated that there are some characteristics of student’s cheating  behaviour: 39,7% of them used materials or aids that have not been approved by lecturer, 62,7% copied the answers from their friends or allowed the answers to be copied, 58,8% shared the answers or consulted them with their friends, and 27,8% accessed the answers outside the room. The determining factors of cheating behaviour consisted of: mastery of the material, learning factors, success story, self-concept, personal motives, situational, and social factors. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to analyze the service quality and its influence to the student satisfaction in the State University of Padang (UNP). This research used five dimensions of SERVQUAL with the sample of 400 respondents from 27,997 students. With the descriptive analysis, UNP has to improve the service quality to make higher student satisfaction in the future. By using Regression analysis, it is found that five dimensions of SERVQUAL significantly influence the student satisfaction. Partially, only reliability and empathy have significant effect to the student satisfaction. Kata Kunci: Kualitas pelayanan, kepuasan pelanggan, mahasiswa
