Abstract

Artificial Neural Networks have proved their efficiency in a large number of research domains. In this paper, we have applied Artificial Neural Networks on Arabic text to prove correct language modeling, text generation, and missing text prediction. In one hand, we have adapted Recurrent Neural Networks architectures to model Arabic language in order to generate correct Arabic sequences. In the other hand, Convolutional Neural Networks have been parameterized, basing on some specific features of Arabic, to predict missing text in Arabic documents. We have demonstrated the power of our adapted models in generating and predicting correct Arabic text comparing to the standard model. The model had been trained and tested on known free Arabic datasets. Results have been promising with sufficient accuracy.

Abstract

Wireless mesh network plays an vital role in our day to day life, Networks are mainly used to deliver voice, video and data but using WMN’s we can communicate in outdoor environments without wired. A wireless mesh can deliver network capacity, reliability and security along with the flexibility. Nowadays the WMN’s are used by municipalities, public safety agencies, port authorities, and industrial organizations to connect to their workers and constituents. However, many technical issues still exist in this field. In order to provide a better understanding of the research challenges of WMNs,   In this paper we propose MobiSEC, a complete security architecture protocols and algorithms for WMNs that provides both access control for mesh users and routers as well as a key distribution schemes that supports layer-2 encryption to ensure security and data confidentiality of all communications that occur in the WMN.

Abstract

This paper presents a baseline perspective of knowledge engineering (KE) methodologies by taking a critical look at the methodological approaches currently used in knowledge engineering domain. A literature review bordering on; the knowledge role concept, knowledge elicitation techniques, and ontological approaches employed in knowledge engineering for the construction of knowledge-based systems (KBSs) was carried out. Journal and conference articles were sourced from multiple journals and research databases and a multi-step manual cross-checking based on carefully selected extraction and quality criteria were employed. The findings of the study show that the existing methodological approaches employed for constructing KBSs in KE is highly deficient and inefficient for solving KE problems under dynamic and uncertain environments. The paper concludes by presenting a strong argument as to why soft systems methodology is best suited for constructing knowledge base systems (KBS) in a spatially distributed, unstructured and shared domain specific context.

Abstract

In this article I am introducing a new model of Attendance which is very compactable for and useful for attendance managementToday is the generation of “Smart class”, ”e-learning” “Videoconferencing” “social networking” “Skype” “Facebook” “Whatsapp”.All class activities are done and carried out in system and web, Wi-Fi. The main core idea of this paper is to convert these activities into our Smart phones as Applications. The Application is nothing but a mobile app that can be installed in any Smartphone and use it through Wi-Fi.

Abstract

In code division multiple access (CDMA) code construction and analysis, the bit error rate due to multiple access interference is an important performance parameter which is overcome to some extent by generating almost orthogonal codes. Ideal orthogonal code families should have zero autocorrelation and no crosscorrelation. The building of fiber-optic CDMA (FOCDMA) is based on binary, unipolar spreading codes, which in turn requires considerably longer length of spreading codes in order to satisfy these constraints. Spreading an optical bit in wavelength, time and multiple fibers is observed to satisfy the constraints for accommodating sufficiently large number of users with a comparatively smaller spreading code length. Various optical code families of different dimensions have been proposed for FOCDMA. The performance of the code families varies under different conditions. In this research, some aspects of the performance issues have been considered.

Abstract

This paper will actually focus on the issues relating to the growth and developmental challenges of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), literacy needs, enlightenment and absence of ICT devices for human development and lack of formal skilled approaches to the understanding and application of ICT in sub Sahara Africa.Several data on ICT efforts were collated from documented materials, literature, Journals, electronic and non electronic media and other sources to assist in this discussion; including historical and analytical reports on ICT in some Africa country like Nigeria, South Africa, Togo to mention but few relating to the impact, capacity building and citizenship participation on the ICT process. Recommendations for ICT policy improvement in the field of literacy, special education, formal and non-formal education for urban and rural dwellers in Africa nations were also provided. Abstract

The emergence of the Web technology generated a massive amount of raw data by enabling Internet users to post their opinions, comments, and reviews on the web. To extract useful information from this raw data can be a very challenging task. Search engines play a critical role in these circumstances. User queries are becoming main issues for the search engines. Therefore a preprocessing operation is essential. In this paper, we present a framework for natural language preprocessing for efficient data retrieval and some of the required processing for effective retrieval such as elongated word handling, stop word removal, stemming, etc. This manuscript starts by building a manually annotated dataset and then takes the reader through the detailed steps of process. Experiments are conducted for special stages of this process to examine the accuracy of the system.

Abstract

Ranking is the central problem for information retrieval (IR), and employing machine learning techniques to learn the ranking function is viewed as a promising approach to IR. In information retrieval, the users’ queries often vary a lot from one to another. In this paper we take into account the diversity of query type by clustering the queries. Instead of deriving a single function, this system attempt to develop several ranking functions based on the resulting query clusters in the sense that different queries of the same cluster should have similar characteristics in terms of ranking. Before the queries are clustered, query features are generated based on the average scores of its associated retrieved documents.  So, for each query cluster, there will be its associated ranking model. To rank the documents for a new query, the system first find the most suitable cluster for that query and produce the scoring results depend on that cluster. The effectiveness of the system will be tested on LETOR, publicly available benchmark dataset.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ij-ict.v2i1.1505

Abstract

Design of antennas for the latest upcoming standards of WLANs is considered as a key challenge in the science of Mobile Communication Engineering. Micro strip antennas are supposed to have some quality features in mobile and wireless network systems. Their weight and size are reduced and they are capable of having low power capacity. All these interesting features enabled these type of antennas suitable for the communication of IEEE 802.11ax-2019 high speed WLANs. Shape of these antennas can be designed in an efficient manner to achieve required gain and bandwidth. In this paper the concept of circular polarization has been introduced along with compact design of antennas in order to achieve return loss and axial ratio of less than -10 dB and 3dB respectively. Antenna has been designed and simulated on CST MW studio software and usage of dual bands 2.4 and 5.2GHz having circular polarization is properly elucidated for 802.11ax-2019.

Abstract

Transformation technology brings importance consequence to the management system improvement and expansion. In this case exploiting of Information Technology (IT) is hardly required to manage because of it affect to efficiency and effectiveness of the system. The purpose of this paper is to design Integrated Academic Management Information System (IAMIS) with concept of Human Computer Interaction (HCI). The method which be applied is qualitative method by using inductive analysis approach by ignoring initial hypothesis of the research, but to find patterns, forms and themes to expose data systematically. The final result is HCI applied in IAMIS system has been applied, so that found usability and functional system, effective and efficient of AIMIS system are fully be able to carry out well. Furthermore, the analysis results show using IAMIS system affected the staff productivity increasing by 12%, it also means affected in improvement of information services to the academic community. The writer recommended to design system on the concepts of HCI and accommodated is able to online (web-based) system.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ij-ict.v2i3.4115
