Personal hygiene pada lansia merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang meliputi mandi, perawatan kulit, mulut, mata, telinga, hidung, rambut, kaku, kaki dan perawatan genital. Personal hygiene lansia harus selalu terpenuhi karena merupakan salah satu tindakan pencegahan primer yang sepefisik untuk meminimalkan pintu masuk penyakit yang mengganggu kesehatan lansia. Sebab hal itu sangat penting, mengingat kebersihan diri (personal hygiene) lansia merupakan kebutuhan dasar dan utama yang dapat mempengaruhi status kesehatan dan kondisi psikologis dan psikis lansia secara umum. Data hasil penelitian Firdaus tahun 2015 menunjukkan bahwa tindakan personal hygiene lansia yang kurang sebanyak 7,5%, personal hygiene cukup sebanyak 55% dan personal hygiene yang baik sebanyak 37,5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi menurunnya personal hygiene pada lansia di wilayah kerja Pusat Pelayanan Sosial Lanjut Usia (PPSLU) Mappakasunggu Kota Parepare tahun 2017. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional dengan uji Chi square. Tempat penelitian di wilayah kerja PPSLU Mappakasunggu Kota Parepare pada tanggal 1 Mei sampai 7 Juli Tahun 2017. Teknik sampling consecutive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 75 orang dan sampel berjumlah 63 orang. Pengumpulan data primer dengan lembar kuesioner. Pengolahan data SPSS meliputi editing, coding, sorting, entry, skoring dan tabulating. Analisa data adalah univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian terdapat hubungan faktor antara variabel independen dan variabel dependen yang artinya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak dengan nilai p-value < α = 0,05 usia p-value = 0,001, pengetahuan pvalue = 0,034, Fungsi Fisiologis pvolue = 0,000. Maka disimpulkan terdapat hubungan faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian menurunnya personal hygiene pada lansia di wilayah kerja PPSLU Mappakasunggu Kota Parepare tahun 2017.Kata Kunci: Usia, Pengetahuan, Fungsi Fisiologis dan Personal Hygiene Lansia. ABSTRACT Personal hygiene in the elderly is a basic need which includes bathing, skin, mouth, eye, ear, nose, hair, stiff, foot and genital care. Personal hygiene of the elderly must always be fulfilled because it is one of the primary preventive measures that is as effective as minimizing the entrance of diseases that interfere with the health of the elderly. Because this is very important, considering that personal hygiene of the elderly is a basic and primary need that can affect the health status and psychological and psychological conditions of the elderly in general. The results of the study there is a factor relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected with a p-value < α = 0.05 age p-value = 0.001, knowledge pvalue = 0.034, Physiological Function volume = 0,000. So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between factors that influence the incidence of decreased personal hygiene in the elderly in the PPSLU Mappakas working area waiting for the City of Parepare in 2017.Keywords: Age, Knowledge, Physiological Function and Personal Hygiene of the Elderly
