Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the marketing strategies of vegetables in Alebo Village, find out the revenue from the sale of vegetables and the number of contributions from vegetable farming to the total income of farmer households. This research was conducted in Alebo Village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency. The population in this study were all vegetable farmers in Alebo Village with a total of 150 people. Determination of the sample is done by simple random sampling. Determination of the number of samples using the Slovin formula in Rianse (2009) which is as many as 60 people. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. Data analysis using descriptive method is a method that aims to analyze marketing strategies based on marketing mix strategies, namely product, price, place, and promotion, the results of vegetable sales at the Farmer level in Alebo Village Konda Sub-District, South Konawe District and to find out contributions income from vegetable farming to farmers' total income is used percentage formula. The results showed that the marketing strategy of vegetables produced by farmers in Alebo Village was to use a mixed marketing strategy such as the first strategy of product mix was the farmers' strategy on four vegetable products such as kale, spinach, long beans and chili having a product. quality and quantity are determinants and influence competitive advantage in the vegetable industry. Farmers must pay more attention to the characteristics of marketable vegetables. The second strategy of price mix, namely pricing at the level of vegetable farmers in Alebo Village is determined based on market mechanisms. Given the collectors commonly called papalele to have the capital to do marketing and are most able to access the market. the third mixed distribution strategy is the vegetable marketing channel that this farmer has one channel in which producer farmers do vegetable marketing through papalele. And four promotional mix strategies are a form of promotion carried out by vegetable farmers in their products by means of personal sales promotions. Receipt of sales results are often faced with price fluctuations sometimes high even low if low but farmers do not lose. Based on the results of the study, vegetable prices at the time of the study were categorized as normal prices. And vegetables are sold out. The contribution from vegetable farming to the total household income in Alebo village is 88%. This shows that vegetable farming is a source of income that contributes greatly to respondent farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the supply chain of rice from South Konawe to Kendari. This type of research is included in descriptive research or categorized in qualitative research method by using survey method that is described, explain and interpret a phenomenon that occurs on an object and data is qualitative, ie data that is described with words or sentences by category to obtain a conclusion. This research was conducted in South Konawe Village specifically at UD. Fandi in Laeya District, South Konawe District in August 2017. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, discussions with supply chain members and documentation at the research sites. Supply Chain of rice products from South Konawe District to Kendari City starts from Farmers, Rice Millers, Distributors UD Fandi, Retailer and Final Consumer. Farmers as rice suppliers cultivate and sell their crops to the rice mills, then the mills' process rice from farmers into rice products to be sold to Distributor. In this research, the Distributor Party also as the owner of rice milling, after the packaging of rice products, will then be distributed to retailers both in South Konawe District itself and outside the region, especially Kendari City distributor of UD. Fandi has a rice warehouse which is a shelter of rice products that will be sold to retailers in Kendari City. The selling price of rice products from Distributor UD. Fandi is accepted by retailers in South Konawe and outside Kendari especially divided by size, for rice with size 50 kg sold with price Rp. 420.000, - and for rice with size 25 kg sold with price Rp. 220.000, Furthermore the retailers will repackage the rice products into several sizes that are tailored to the needs of the end consumer is the size of 10 kg, and size 5 kg. for rice with size 10 kg sold with price Rp. 110.000, - and rice with size 5 kg sold with price Rp. 55.000, -. But retailers also sell rice with liter sizes which for liters sold to consumers at a price of Rp. 8,000-8,500, / litres. This is done to adjust to the level of end consumer needs.

Abstract

This research aimed (1) To describe the working time allocation and role of the fisherman’s wife as a fish seller for activities in the household, social activities and economic activities, (2) To know the contribution of fisherman's wife in improving family economy and (3) To know the relation between family income and working time allocation of fisherman’s wife. This research was conducted in the Petoaha, the districts of Nambo. The population of this research was the entire of the fisherman's wife of Petoaha, the districts of Nambo as a fish seller. Sample determination using purposive sampling technique. The number of samples is determined using Slovin formula and based on the calculation result using the formula, the total sample is 43 respondents. The results of this research showed that the average allocation of working time and the role of fisherman’s wife for household activities is 66.56%, social activities 1.29% and economic activities 14.94%. The average income contribution of fishermen's wife to family income is 42%. The relationship between family income and the fisherman’s wife working is the family income in the lower category, the allocation time of fisherman’s wife in economy activity increasing

Abstract

This study aims to determine the participation of farmers in irrigation management and the level of farmer participation in increasing rice production. This type of research is a case study of predetermined subjects and objects. The method used in this study is a survey method, while the method for collecting data is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all farmers who were members of the P3A group. The sampling technique was carried out with Simple Random Sampling (simple random) with a sample of 46 farmers. Analysis of the data used to determine the relationship of participation of farmers using water in increasing rice production is the analysis of Chi-Square. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Participation of farmers in irrigation management activities is included in the high category or participating; and 2) there is a relationship between participation and production of paddy rice in Lalousu village, wonggeduku sub-district, konawe district.

Abstract

The research aims at knowing: the total income of patchouli farming, and the contribution of patchouli farming towards the total income of patchouli farmers at Sangia Tiworo Subdistrict of South Tiworo, West Muna Regency. The population of the research is the entire farmers of patchouli and another kind of farming at Sangia Tiworo Subdistrict of South Tiworo, West Muna Regency which total 20 farmers. The technique of deciding sample is “Probability Random Sampling” in which the entire farmers have an equal chance to be a sample. The data were analyzed by using “income analysis”, and “contribution formula”. The result of the research shows total income of farmers per planting season is Rp. 435,620,298 on average Rp. 22,641,240. Patchouli farming gives a big contribution towards farmers’ household income, which is being approximated at 31% - 97% on average contribution 84%.
