Abstract

This study aims to determine the most effective priority strategy to be applied in developing oyster mushrooms as an Agricultural Commodity in Urban City (Case Study of Oyster Mushroom Farmers in Denpasar City). The location selection method in this study was purposive. Stages of the study include the identification of internal factors, namely strengths and weaknesses, and external factors, namely the opportunities and threats faced by oyster mushroom farmers in Denpasar. The input stage is carried out by creating an IFAS matrix and an EFAS matrix. The matching stage uses the SWOT matrix and the decision stage uses QSPM. The results showed an alternative strategy obtained, namely improving the quality of products ranging from seedlings (F1), baglog (growing media), and oyster mushrooms; Form partnerships with baglog makers so they can reach price agreements; Form partnerships between fellow mushroom farmers so they can work together in the distribution of crops; Form partnerships with the oyster mushroom processing industry so that farmers get stable selling prices; Government programs to increase the capacity of mushroom cultivation for the community in a sustainable manner; Organizing a production and marketing management training program; Conducting oyster mushroom cultivation workshops for the general public; Improving environmental sanitation for making baglog or mushroom cultivation; Conduct training on post-harvest handling and waste generated after cultivation. The priority strategy obtained in the development of oyster mushrooms in the city of Denpasar is to conduct training on handling post-harvest and post-cultivation waste produced with a value of 11,590.

Abstract

Organic food agriculture, especially rice, is a potential business opportunity in the present and in the future. This is based on the principle of the benefits of organic food, which puts forward the principles of good health for plants, soil, animals, earth, and humans as an interconnected and inseparable whole. The objectives of this study were to analyze the economic and financial feasibility of organic rice farming in North Buton Regency, to analyze the economic and financial viability of farming when input prices change, and to compare the feasibility of organic rice farming in various bank groups. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data, the variable coverage of which consists of the amount of organic rice production, production price, and the components of farm costs. Respondents were determined using accidental sampling technique, in order to obtain 60 farmer household respondents. Furthermore, an economic and financial feasibility analysis approach is used which consists of 3 criteria, namely net present value, net benefit-cost ratio, and internal rate of return. The results showed that: (1) organic rice farming in North Buton Regency based on economic and financial feasibility criteria is feasible to be cultivated and or developed, (2) Even though there has been a change in input prices, organic rice farming in Buton Utarata Regency is feasible to be cultivated and or developed, (3) the selection of business investment credit in the state-owned bank group and the national private bank group is more feasible to operate, while the business investment credit in the regional government bank group is vulnerable to the risk of loss. Therefore, in applying for investment credit for organic rice farming, farmers must choose a financial institution in the state bank group or national private bank.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the price efficiency of pepper farming and analyze how much pepper farming income. By using the quantitative descriptive research method, the sample selection is done by random sampling (simple random sampling) and determined using the Slovin formula, with a total sample of 44 pepper farmers. The analytical method used to describe the relationship between input and output in the production process is the Cobb-Douglas function, Efficiency Test, and farm analysis. The results showed that: Variables in pepper farming that had a significant effect were land area, fertilizer, labor, and farming time variables, while variables that were not significant in pepper farming were seeds and pesticides. This is caused because the use of seeds and pesticides is less than the standard of use. The results of this calculation indicate that pepper farming is not yet price-efficient, because the price efficiency value is greater than 1, so it is necessary to add certain production inputs to be more efficient. Pepper farming is still profitable, this is shown by the R / C ratio of 5.32, it is said that pepper farming is profitable to be developed, to improve efficiency, farmers should be able to use inputs proportionally.
