This study involves an in-depth analysis of Cultural Communication and Public Opinion Transformation through a case study of the hashtag #FreePalestine on social media. The Israeli-Palestinian controversy set the stage for a significant shift in public opinion, and these hashtags became an important instrument in weaving complex online narratives. The aim of this research is to understand the impact of Cultural Communication through the hashtag #FreePalestine in transforming public opinion. Her focus includes online mobilization, influence on policy, changing international perceptions, and the formation of activist movements. This research method uses a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis. Social media analysis is conducted to track trends, sentiment, and networks of relationships, while interviews and surveys are used to gain a deeper understanding of the influence of these opinion transformations in the real world. This research shows that the hashtag #FreePalestine not only creates change in online opinion, but also mobilizes real action and shapes global narratives that influence policy and business. Cultural communication on social media is key to understanding further impact, with image visualization and visual solidarity being key elements in changing public opinion.

Abstract

This research is important because it sees the phenomenon that there are still many religious issues related to women's specific problems that have not been completely answered. Women's limited knowledge regarding women-specific issues leads to violations of Islamic teachings, both related to menstruation, junub, and household responsibilities. Balanced explanations and information regarding women's problems are often not obtained from male missionaries, and sometimes it even seems that there are subjective nuances that position women as objects of blame. The research was conducted using qualitative methods, research informants were congregations and active female preachers. Determining the informants using the next key informant using the snowball sampling technique. Data collection techniques use interviews, documentation studies and observation. This article explains that congregations need female missionaries to be able to discuss and share information regarding specific issues regarding women, the figure of a female missionary that the congregation wants includes having substantive competence and methodological competence. Female missionaries have quite high opportunities as evidenced by the community's enthusiastic acceptance of tabligh, while female missionaries face busy household duties, the place where tabligh is carried out is far from their domicile, and physical strength is not possible.

AAs a country with a Muslim majority,Indonesian people still do not understand the implementation of a halal lifestyle. Halal lifestyle education through the media is a new breakthrough in increasing understanding of halal concepts. This research aims to analyze the audience's reception of Halal Safe Food content as a model of a halal lifestyle. This research uses a qualitative research method with the Reception Analysis approach of Stuart Hall's Encoding - Decoding Theory. On the encoding side, researchers analyzed the knowledge framework conveyed by Leli Azizah via Tiktok social media. Meanwhile, on the decoding side, researchers looked at the knowledge framework of 6 informants who watched video content discussing Angciu. The data collection technique is carried out by observation or video observation. In the next phase, researchers looked at the synchronization of encoding and decoding by describing the reception process. The results of this research show that on the encoding side of the first preparation function, namely the media agenda, Leli Azizah is still not a role model in halal lifestyle guidelines. Second, the community agenda shows that the community has accepted the agenda presented by Leli Azizah regarding a halal lifestyle. Third, there is still no synchronization of the policy agenda between the media agenda and society. On the Decoding side, three people are in the Hegemonic Dominant position, namely the position that the public fully agrees about Angciu that it is haram. The other three people are in the Negotiated position, nam

Abstract

The issues of religious authority are at the center of debate and contestation in various aspects of Islam in the modern world. These issues have been discussed and widely debated long before the major political, economic, and intellectual transformations that Muslim societies have undergone since the nineteenth century. The authority of Muslim scholars, was largely unquestioned before the emergence of new authorities aided by modern media. Interestingly, in Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, religious figures with authority are referred to as Tuangku. On one hand, the community's resistance to the authority of Tuangku ensures their continued existence as the sole holders of control. On the other hand, this dynamic negates the possibility of fragmentation and contestation with other religious authorities. This study seeks to answer two key questions: (1) What is the position of Tuangku's religious authority in Padang Pariaman Regency? (2) What dynamics affect the authority of Tuangku as transmitters of Islamic teachings in the Padang Pariaman community? Using a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach based on interview data, the study argues that local religious authorities like Tuangku have become well-established and remain resilient against the forces of globalization and media openness. The phenomenon of new authorities born from modern media is not seen as a significant threat to the people of Padang Pariaman, a result of the community's resistance, which is also nurtured by the Tuangku.
