Abstract

The magnitude 7.7 earthquake that struck Palu on September 28, 2018, certainly had a psychological impact on those who experienced the disaster. As a result of traumatic events experienced by survivors require special psychological treatment. The impact experienced is ongoing stress followed by a traumatic experience. This study aims to reduce posttraumatic stress in survivors through progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The population in this study were 50 survivors of hammer earthquake in Malang Regency. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with samples obtained as many as 3 people who indicated pathological symptoms. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. While the interventions used in this study were Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy which consisted of 3 sessions in 1 meeting for 60 minutes and held 4 meetings a week. Session 1 identified the perceived muscle tension, session 2 carried out progressive muscle relaxation therapy, and session 3 distinguishes and compares what is felt when muscles are stretched and relaxed. This progressive muscle relaxation technique aims to reduce stress due to traumatic experiences. The results showed that this progressive muscle relaxation technique can reduce stress resulting in muscle tension such as muscle cramps, headaches, anxiety, insomnia and excessive stress because of the trauma experienced by the three survivors. Progressive muscle relaxation performed has been shown to reduce the physiological and emotional components of stress experienced by the three survivors so that the three survivors have decreased stress.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between workplace bullying with self-esteem. The research method that I use is quantitative method. The population of respondents was 148 employees. The research sample was taken from the total population (saturation sample) of 121 employees. The self-esteem scale is using from the Organization based on Self-esteem (OBSE) by Pierce (1989), and the workplace bullying is from the Negative Acts Questionnaire Revised (NAQ-R) by Einarsen (2009). Data analysis using Spearman rho technique with SPSS version 25. The results showed that there iss no correlation between workplace bullying and self-esteem (r = -0,168; P> 0.05). Meanwhile, the t-test results showed that there are significant differences in self-esteem based on gender.

Abstract

Hijrah is a changing the one self of a person, from a bad to be a better person. This study aims to examine the role of religiosity on emotional regulation in the hijrah community.The subject in this research are the ikhwan and akhwat in hijrah community “X” with the total of 100 respondents. The measuring instrument used in this study is the religiosity scale and emotional regulation scale. This study used quantitative methods and for the sampling the researcher used incidental sampling techniques.The method used for the data analysis is a simple regression analysis and an additional age and gender analysis using the cross tabulation analysis (crosstab) with the help of SPSS 21.0. The results of data analysis showed a regression coefficient of 0.379 with a value of p = 0,000 (p <0.01), indicating that the hypothesis proposed in this study was accepted, that there was a significant positive role between religiosity towards emotional regulation in ikhwan and akhwat in the hijrah community. The result of the additional analysis using crosstab shows that the most dominant age of the subject are between 20 to 25 years old and the most dominant gender is akhwat. Effective contribution of religiosity towards emotional regulation is 0,144 or 14,4% and the rest is 85.6% influenced by others factors that is gender, age, culture and education.

Abstract

Indonesian’s divorce rate is the highest among countries in Asia-Pacific, with 70% from total cases were submitted by women. Based on BKKBN data, there are 200 thousands divorce cases each year, and over two millions marriages each year. Highest causes of these divorce cases are marital-abuse (physically and emotionally) and infidelity.These causes indicate about failure in maintaining companionship between husband and wife. This research aims to find out whether there are differences of companionship in marriage between men and women. Data were collected online. There were 105 total subjects, 54 men and 51 women. Hypothesis analysis were done with Independent t-test method. Results of this research shown that there is significance differences in companionship between men and women (sig=0,014)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between transactional leadership and work discipline at PT. MG Semarang. The subjects used in this study are employees who are still actively working at PT. MG Semarang. The population in the company is 100 employees and the sample to be used is 50 employees at PT. MG Semarang who had previously been willing to be a participant in this study. This subject was found from employees at PT. MG Semarang by taking data random sampling technique which is done by making a lottery with each name of the employee who came out who will get and fill out the questionnaire that has been provided in this study. The data scale collection method used by the author is by using the scale of transactional leadership by Robbins (2007) and work discipline by Rivai (2005). The data obtained were then performed statistical tests with correlation analysis with Spearman's rho between transactional leadership variables with work discipline. The results of the data obtained after statistical tests in this study are that there is no significant relationship between the variables of transactional leadership with work discipline, with an r value of 0.210; p> 0.05. The absence of a relationship between transactional leadership and work discipline can be interpreted, transactional leadership in PT. MG Semarang does not give a role in work discipline to its employees. Keywords: transactional leadership; work discipline

Abstract

This study aims to improve psychological well-beimg of adolescents Harapan orphanage through emotional intelligence training. Emotional Intelligence aspects in this study are perceiving emotion, facilitating thought with emotion, understanding emotion, and managing emotion. The concept of this training is experiencing learning. Material of training taught and delivered through lecturing, games, discussion, writing task, reflection, role play, presentation, and self record. Participants are 14 teenage boys who lived in HA Orphanage. The design chosen for this study was one-group pretest-posttest design. The result of quantitative analysis was significant differences before and after training. It showed that emotional intelligence training was effective to improve psychological well-being of teenage boys Harapan’s orphanage.

Abstract

This study aims to improve caring behavior in nurse who worked at Hospital X through spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence. Spiritual intelligence aspects in this study are critical existential thinking, personal meaning production, transcendental awareness and conscious state expansion. Emotional intelligence aspects in this study are perception of emotion, use of emotion to facilitate thoughts, understanding emotion and manage emotion. The concept that is used in this training is experiencing learning. The material of training were taught and delivered through lecturing, games, discussion, reflection, sharing, audio-visual and writing tasks. Participant in this training are 13 nurses that worked in emergency room, out-patient care and hospitalization care. The design of this study is one-group pretest-posttest design. Nurse’s caring behavior were measured with Caring Behavior Inventory. The result of this study suggest that there was significant differences before and after the training. It showed that spiritual intelligence and emotional intelligence training was effective to improve caring behavior in nurses at Hospital X.
