Abstract

Increasing immunization coverage is one way to reduce mortality in infants, especially in infectious diseases. along with increasing immunization coverage, can’t be separated from parental anxiety about reactions caused after the baby is immunized. The most serious occurrence Adverse Events Following Immunization (KIPI) in children is an anaphylactoid reaction estimated at 2 in 100,000 DPT doses, but actually anaphylactic reactions are only 1-3 cases among 1 million doses. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of maternal knowledge about Adverse Events Following Immunization (KIPI) with giving DPT immunization in the Work Area of the health center UPT Matiti Medan in 2019. This study used descriptive research design with cross sectional approach with a population of 369 respondents so counter using the Sugiyono formula and the results obtained are 79 samples in the sampling using accidental sampling technique. The research instrument used a standardized questionnaire and the data obtained were analyzed by the Spearman rank test. The results of this study obtained from 79 respondents the majority of knowledgeable enough are 34 respondents (43.0%). And the majority of immunization is not given are 41 respondents (51.9%), then there is a strong relationship between mother's knowledge about the KIPI reaction with DPT immunization with p values of 0.000 (<0.05) and the value of r = 0.577. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between mother's knowledge about post-immunization (KIPI) follow-up reactions with DPT immunization, expected to mothers who have babies after knowing about the KIPI immunization reaction to always bring their babies to immunization in order to get immunity and avoid disease Diphtheria, Pertussis and Tetanus.

Abstract

Tooth size and arch dimensions are hereditary factors that play a role in the occurrence of crowding teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in tooth size and arch dimensions between crowding and crowding teeth. This type of research is an observational study with a cross sectional approach. The sample of this study consisted of two groups. The sample of this study was a dental study model, which consisted of 36 pairs in each group. The results showed the total mesio-distal width of the maxillary anterior teeth (45.95 mm and 48.26 mm), the mandibular anterior teeth (35.92 mm), and 38.16), the maxillary teeth (95.82 mm and 99.47 mm), the mandibular teeth (87.60 mm and 91.50 mm), the inter-canine width maxillary buccal region (37.03 mm and 34.85 mm), maxillary inter-canine width palatal region (26.53 mm and 25.69 mm), buccal area of mandibular inter-canine width (28.38 mm and 27.75 mm), the mandibular inter-canine width in the lingual area (20.38 mm and 19.90 mm), the maxillary inter-molar width in the buccal area (62.73 mm and 60.60 mm), the maxillary inter-molar width in the palatal area (37.86 mm and 35.10 mm), mandibular inter-molar width buccal area (56.51 mm and 55.31 mm), mandibular inter-molar width lingual area (34.10 mm and 31.66 mm), arch length maxillary arch (37.57 mm and 37.76 mm), mandibular arch length (32.63 mm and 32.77 mm), maxillary arch perimeter (96.95 mm and 94.68 mm), and mandibular arch perimeter (87.86 mm and 85.83 mm), Bolton's anterior ratio (78.19% and 79.13%), and Bolton's overall ratio (91.43% and 92.03%). The conclusion of the study showed that the crowding group had larger tooth size, narrower arch width, narrower arch perimeter, longer arch length, and larger anterior ratio and Bolton overall ratio compared to the crowding group.

Zingiberaceous has about 50 genera and 1300 species spread throughout the world. In relation to the flavonoid content, routine, kaempferol-3-rutionoside and kaemferol-3-oliucronide in red ginger (Alpina purpurata K. Schum) as antimicrobial, then to prove this, the trials of antimicrobial efficacy in vitro by diffusion disc (method Kirby & Bauer test) against Escherichia coli which is a gram negative bacteria. The results were analyzed with SPSS 20 software. The results showed that red ginger extract (Alpina purpurata K. Schum) effective in the course of Escherichia coli growth was at 100% concentration. The mean inhibition zone diameter was 7.825 mm at 25%, 8,625 mm at concentration 50%, 9,350 mm at concentration 75%, and 10.7 mm at 100% concentration.

Abstract

Early exclusive breastfeeding has an important role in reducing the incidence of jaundice, where jaundice is a change in the skin or other organs due to a buildup of bilirubin levels in the blood and an increase in the level of bilirubin in the blood, which is called hyperbilirubinemia. This study aimed to determine the correlation between breastfeeding and the incidence of hyperbilirubinemia infant jaundice at RSIA Puri Bunda Denpasar. This study used a case-control method, comparing the case group with the control group and a retrospective approach. The number of samples was 86 patients' medical record files. The sampling was using purposive sampling through the observation sheet and data analysis using the Chi-Square test. This study showed that exclusive breastfeeding had less incidence of jaundice (16.7% in the case and control groups) while the incidence of jaundice was higher in breastfeeding and formula milk in both the case and control groups. The results of the chi-square statistical test obtained p-value = 0.023, meaning that there was a significant correlation between breastfeeding and the incidence of jaundice in hyperbilirubinemia infants. It is recommended that the hospital be able to educate and socialize early exclusive breastfeeding to patients.
