Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisa strategi komunikasi yang digunakan oleh dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis dalam berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris di International Office Undiknas Denpasar; (2) mendeskripsikan usaha dari dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Inggris; dan (3) mendeskripsikan persepsi dari dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis tentang berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris dalam bisnis. Subyek adalah dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan non-participant observation dan in-depth interview. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa secara deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil analisis yang telah didapatkan adalah sebagai berikut: (1) terdapat dua macam strategi komunikasi yang telah digunakan, yaitu: modification device dan L2 – based, dan yang sering muncul adalah modification devise, dimana ini menjaga komunikasi agar berjalan lancar; (2) terdapat lima usaha untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berkomunikasi dalam bahasa inggris  oleh dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis, yaitu: belajar bahasa Inggris dengan dosen bahasa Inggris, menonton film dengan subtitle bahasa Inggris, belajar lebih intensif, berlatih terus menerus, belajar bahasa Inggris dengan berbagi atau bertanya kepada dosen bahasa Inggris; dan (3) dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis setuju bahwa bahasa Inggris itu penting dalam bisnis untuk beberapa alasan, terutama: untuk melancarkan komunikasi apabila nanti berhadapan dengan klien atau rekan yang berasal dari luar negeri, untuk lebih mudah melakukan surat menyurat dalam bisnis, dan untuk bisa memahami perkembangan bisnis saat membaca artikel bisnis berbahasa Inggris. Keterbatasan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya waktu penelitian dan pengambilan sampel data yang masih minim sehingga diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya bisa menggunakan sampel dan kajian yang lebih banyak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the performance of Kerajinan Sari Sedana Cooperation which was seen from the perspective of Balanced Scorecard. The data of the study were collected through interviews with the help of a questionnaire approach. The design of this study used quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that the performance of the cooperation from the perspective of the financial terms of the liquidity, solvency, and profitability ratio showed the performance was still below the desired ratio standard. From the customer perspective angle as measured by Customer Acquisition and Customer Retention was pretty good. The performance of internal business process perspective and learning process with service circle efficiency and innovation showed good results. Practical implication of this study was in order to improve the performance of financial and non-financial.

Abstract

Human resources is the most important resource that must be owned by an organization. Industry increasingly fierce competition requires companies to optimize available resources so as to survive in the competition. Human resources as labor can not be separated from issues related to health. Occupational health and safety programs is a very important program that should be implemented to employees in particular parts of the field. In addition to occupational health and safety program companies must also consider incentives to support employee spirit. It is interesting to study in order to know how the relationship between the implementation of health, safety and financial incentives of employee spirit. Based on the subject matter, the purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of the implementation of health, safety to employee spirit.The data analysis techniques used in this study was qualitative interpretative data analysis techniques, the analysis of data obtained by researchers reasoning ability in connecting facts and data information. The results of this research was the implementation of health and safety such as the provision of facilities such as BPJS very instrumental in improving employee morale and incentive programs conducted every year was instrumental to boost morale but should be given every month. Based on the results of the analysis, it is suggested that future researchers conduct similar research on other organizations to strengthen and enrich the theories that have been there.

Abstract

the purpose of this research is to examine the impact of perceive organizational support to reducing the effect of work-family conflict and turn over intention. It is also examining gender and perceiver organizational support as potential moderator in that relationship. Based on data obtain from 134 supervisor of four and five star hotels in Bali, which is consist of 57 female and 77 male, we found that work-family conflict has a positive influence and significantly related to turnover intention. It is also found that perceive organizational support significantly moderated a positive relationship between work-family conflict and turnover intentions, but another moderating effect, gender have no impact on it.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship can encourage or promote economic growth, and the future of society as well as for entrepreneurs. Thus, the fate of peoples and nations, is dependent upon individuals as the younger generation, to have a persistent entrepreneurial spirit, work diligently, and to be honest, creative, innovation and courage in trying, so as to produce goods or services. David McClelland argued that if a country wants to be prosperous, a minimum amount of 2% of the total population in the country to become entrepreneurs. The purpose of research: to identify and analyze the factors igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship and to determine the most dominant factor triggering the Spirit of Entrepreneurship in the village of Bitra Ginyar. The approach used was multiple linear regression approach. Samples taken were 32 respondents. The results expressed a positive influence of variable of personal factors (X1), environmental factors (X2) and sociological factors (X3) to trigger the entrepreneurial (Y). Based on the analysis of standardized coefficeents beta, sociological factors conferred the most dominant influence to the trigger of entrepreneurship in Bitra village of Gianyar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the empowerment of SMEs of Culinary in Bali from the perspective of unemployment, voluntary unemployment either or forced unemployment. The method used in data collection, was the documentation with the help of a questionnaire. The design of the study was multiple linear regression analysis. From this analysis, the results showed that the empowerment of SMEs of Culinary in Bali was 4.3% on the unemployment rate. Judging from the two types of unemployment, namely voluntary unemployment and forced unemployment, where forced unemployment was more dominant of 2% of voluntary unemployment.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of Trustworthiness of Internet Vendor and External Environment along with the moderating effect of Trust in Internet Shopping on Perceived Risk. Design/methodology/approach - There were two studies performed in this research. Studi 1 validated the self regulating processes; Study 2 tested the moderating effects of Trust in Online Shopping on Perceived Risk. The study of population are 165 respondent from undiknas students. Respondents were selected based on the technique of convenience sample of students who are familiarized to online shopping. The data is processed and analyzed using SEM with statistical software AMOS. Finding - The study demonstrated that Trustworthiness of Internet Vendor and the external environment has a negative and significant effect on the perceived risk of online shopping. Along with the mediating effect of Trust in Online Shopping, the external environment has a stronger effect than the variable Trustworthiness of Internet Vendor on the perceived risk of online shopping. Research limitations/implications - We found that there are emotional and rational routes influencing Trust in Internet Shopping in the online shopping process. This will contribute to other research that clarifies the influencing process of Perceived Risk in online shoppers’ motivation and behaviour. Practical implications - In the pre-purchase stage, online retailers should focus on attracting consumers by the quality of Trustworthiness of Internet Vendor. In the purchase stage, online retailers should address the emotional factors, such as Trust in Internet Shopping. In the post-purchase stage, rational factors – such as and External Environment play important roles because they can strengthen the relationship between Trust in Internet Shopping and Perceived Risk. Originality/value - This study viewed the purchase process as a different stage as consumers may make a choice at each of the purchase stages. Moreover this study found a way to examine the relationship between Trustworthiness of Internet Vendor and External Environment by exploring the moderating effects of Trust in online Shopping.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of employee satisfaction in mediating the compensation to employee performance carried on weaving company Widhi Sri, by involving all employees of the company totaling 61 persons as respondents. This study was conducted with a census approach, therefore, it involved the whole company's employees as respondents. The collecting of the data in this study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents. The data of the study were processed by the method of Partial Least Square (PLS), through a program named SmartPLS 2.0 M3, at the significance level of 0.05 (5%). The results of this study found that compensation and employee satisfaction provided a positive and significant influence on employee performance. The effect occurred by compensating for the employee performance without the involvement of employee satisfaction was at 0.315, it was lower than the influence caused by compensation to employee performance by involving employee satisfaction, which was equal to 0.640. Therefore, it meant that employee satisfaction was able to mediate compensation to employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this researchto build consumer awareness ofthe brand LA Lights and gives an overview of consumer positively to the brandLA Lights. This study was designed to analyze event marketing as an effectiveway to build LA Lights brand equity. The location of this study conducted inYogyakarta in accordance with the enterprise segments which are the consumerteenagers and independent communities.The results of research in the form ofanswers using a Likert scale was analyzed by looking at the effect of relationshipmarketing event of the formation of brand equity LA Lights by using multipleregression models. Overall, event marketing LA Lights held assessed effectivelybuild brand equity LA Lights. This happens because the market in the city ofYogyakarta is a potential market for the brand LA Lights targeting consumersteenagers and independent communities. Based on these results, the companycan continue to organize events marketing sustainably and improve the qualityof the event marketing to build brand equity LA Lights.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the application of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) in an effort to suppress the rate of workplace accidents in PT. Jasamarga Bali Tol (Tol Bali Mandara). The Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) is part of the overall management system that includes organizational structure, planning, responsibility, implementation, procedures, processes and resources needed for the development, application, achievement, assessment and maintenance of safety and health policies in order to create a workplace that safe, secure, efficient and productive (Permen PU, 2008). This study used qualitative data derived from the documents in the company and also the Audit Checklist of Occupational Health and Safety Management System sourced from Minister of Manpower Regulation No.05 / MEN // 1996. Data analysis technique used was qualitative descriptive. The results of the data analysis obtained found a fact that this company in the application of SMK3 obtained Good category that got the Certificate and Golden Flag. It was achieved because the company had fulfilled the requirements of the Audit Check List as many as 146 elements (88%) of the 166 elements. The company was deemed to be in violation as many as 12% for 20 elements could not be fulfilled. For two years (2013-2015) there had been a nine cases of accidents suffered by the employees, it is suggested that in the future the company should continue to seek to complete the elements that are still violated in order to achieve all the elements determined by government regulation.
