<![CDATA[Abid Al-Jabiri is a character who was born in the middle of the 20th century in Morocco, a country that develops cultures of modernity. This certainly makes it a historical fact that Abid Al-Jabiri is a thinker who lives in the midst of a family that is fanatical about modernity. Departing from this fact, Abid Al-Jabiri became a person who knew deeply about how modernity developed. In his journey Abid Al-Jabiri received a lot of knowledge and wrote many phenomenal works. One of the sciences he studied was Tafsir Al-Qur'an, in which he produced a work which later became the subject of discussion by many researchers. This paper seeks to provide an overview of what Abid Al-Jabi's thoughts related to methods and practices related to observations in the Qur'an. The study used library research methods, then analyzed using descriptive-analytical models. From this model, a result is found that Abid Al-Jabiri gives an idea that in an effort to limit the Qur'an it cannot be separated from the historical aspects of the verses of the Qur'an. This is based on the fact that the verses of the Qur'an were not revealed to the Arabs regardless of the customs and culture that developed at that time. But besides all that, the textual side of the verse must be peeled first so that the information contained in the verse is conveyed in full. In this case, A Al-Jabiri expressed the idea that the bidding of the Qur'an must also consider the historical side of the verses of the Qur'an. ]]>

<![CDATA[This article reinterprets the word caliph with a modern linguistic approach initiated by Ferdinand de Sausurre, namely the syntagmatic-paradigmatic analysis approach. This paper uses a qualitative method by grouping words and analyzing words in the Qur'an. In this paper, it is explained that caliph does not have a single and narrow meaning but is a living word when it is related to the lexemes that surround it. Syntagmatically the caliph has a relationship with the word; Rabb, Angel, qaum and 'ard. While in a paradigmatic relation with the word; Imam, ulu al-amri, ulul al-bab, ulama', auliya' and humans.]]>

<![CDATA[In the world of economy, the efforts made by humans to fulfill the necessities of life certainly involve other parties. So that the operational behavior of assets arises not only for personal interests, but also includes the benefit of the people (social). This paper seeks to introduce how benefit is in the economy as far as the Qur'an sees it. By using the thematic interpretation method, it is concluded that there are at least six economic benefits in the Qur'an that must be guided by at least six, namely; economic activities are not illegal in nature, optimize natural resources, carry out equitable distribution, do not abuse one another, must have balance and simplicity, and consume something that is lawful and thayyib. These six ways of knitting economic benefit are expected to be able to become basic guidelines as well as a stepping stone in accordance with the normativity of the Koran in order to carry out all economic activities, so that disparities and insecurity can be minimized.]]>

<![CDATA[Soearti Magazine is a forum for polemic between Tarbiyah Islamiyah and those who attacked it. They answered the polemics that occurred at that time by including the Prophet's traditions, translations, names of narrators, and their understanding.However, the hadiths they wrote were only at the level of friends, some were not even mentioned, there was an error in writing the mind and not all hadiths that were explained in their veracity.This study aims to trace honesty and analyze the understanding of the hadiths contained in Soearti magazine on the theme of Reading al-Fatihah for the general public. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative method.From the results of this study, the Hadith that discusses reading al-Fatihah for the congregation in Soearti magazine, there are 7 hadiths consisting of 5 authentic quality hadiths and 2 dha'if quality hadiths, so that all of these traditions can be used as evidence and put into practice.The hadiths in Soearti Magazine are understood using textual and contextual methods of understanding but tend to use textual methods. Meanwhile, the style of understanding in the Hadith is traditional.]]>

<![CDATA[إنه لا ينبغي لأحد أن يتصدى لتفسير القرآن ما لم تتحقق له أهلية التفسير. ومن بينها معرفة فنون اللغة العربية من صرفها ونحوها، وبلاغتها. وقد كان الإمام أبو جعفر الطحاوي واسع المعرفة متعدد العلم والثقافة. و قد تبوّأ مكانة سامية بين العلماء وجعلوه من أئمة اللغة والنحو، وبالتالي فإن هذه الثقافة اللغوية الواسعة تمكنه وتؤهله لهذه المهمة العظيمة، وهي تفسير كتاب الله عز وجل. ويهدف هذا البحث معرفة دور اللغة العربية ومكانتها في تفسير أبي جعفر الطحاوي وعنايته بها مستخدما منهج البحث الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تتبع واستقراء القضايا اللغوية الواردة في تفسيره أحكام القرآن الكريم. وقد توصلت النتائج إلى أن اللغة العربية لها دور مهم ومكانة عظيمة في تفسير الإمام الطحاوي و قد جعلها من أسس تفسيره. ويظهر ذلك من خلال تناوله القضايا اللغوية والمسائل النحوية، تخدم من جملتها الغرض الذي توخاه في تفسيره، وهو استنباط الأحكام والمسائل الفقهية. ومن بين تلك القضايا اللغوية هي الاشتقاق، و الاشتراك، و النحو والإعراب، والاستشهاد على المعنى اللغوي بالقرآن والسنة، والاستشهاد بالشعر وأقوال علماء اللغة. وتظهر من خلال هذا البحث قدرته العلمية وثقافته الواسعة في مجال اللغة العربية]]>

<![CDATA[This Research aims to reveal the methods and Style of Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat book written by Ibn Taimiyah. What is the method of writing Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat book, what is the style of interpretation and what are the advantages and disadvantages of Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat. This study is Uses Library Research Methods with the primary data being Ibn Taimiyyah's book Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat written by Abdul Aziz Bin Muhammad al-Khalifah. Secondary data sources are in the form of scientific books of interpretation or other articles related to the problem being researched. After conducting the research it can be concluded that the method used by Ibn Taymiyyah is the method of muqaran, which is to compare one interpretation with another. Meanwhile, the style of Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat is the style of akidah, because almost the entire theme of the discussion of the verse has the nuances of akidah. The strength of the book Tafsîr Ayât Asykalat is that it provides broader insight into one theme of discussion, open the door to being tolerant by knowing the various interpretive views in one discussion, and proving that the Al-Qur’an is actually nothing contradictory. While the weakness of the methodology of this book of Tafsir is that it cannot be given to beginners because the discussion is too broad and sometimes uses scientific terms that are difficult for beginners to know, cannot be relied on to answer social problems in society because this interpretation is scientific and does not discuss interpretation to answer a reality that happened, the method of interpretation was not systematic, did not match the title of the book with the contents of the book, Ibn Taimiyyah did not issue a new opinion, only commented on the interpretation of friends or the history of salaf and khalaf scholars.]]>

<![CDATA[The Discourse of this research, focuses on the modernization of the interpretation of the Qur’an from the perspective of the Tafsir al-Azhar by Buya Hamka. The purpose of the study, to reveal the impact of modernization on the realm of interpretation of the Qur’an and to determine the development of the interpretation of the Qur’an by looking at the extent to which the Tafsir al-Azhar can be categorized in the realm of modernization of the interpretation of the Qur’an. This research is in the form of qualitative research, the type of library research is assisted by data analysis in the form of descriptive analysis, and to determine the significance of Tafsir al-Azhar, the author uses the interpretation theory of the interpretation of the Qur’an Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, in order to be able to see the representation of the text of Tafsir al-Azhar has any reference to modernization or not, and is equipped with theorical triangulation as a test of the validity of the data. The results of the study state that the existence of Tafsir al-Azhar is representation of modern interpretation because of ist efforts to contextualize the text with events that are currently happening, driven by the emergence of modernization, and modernization of the interpretation of the Qur’an is also an implementation of the involvement of interpretation with modern problems, as the interpretation of Buya Hamka in the Tafsir al-Azhar which discusses a lot of modern problems. This is an attempt by the mufasir to maintain the Qur’an which should indeed be salih likulli zaman wa makan.]]>

<![CDATA[Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque of Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung, Padang City. The implementation of the Friday prayers they perform is different from the usual Friday prayer practices. However, in the implementation of Friday, which is in the mosque, the sermon is in the form of a foreign language (Arabic) which is not the language understood by the local congregation at all. In the implementation of Jum'at jama'ah pray together while waiting for Friday to enter and there are two call to prayer and two preachers in one Friday. The formulation of the problem in this research is how the congregation's understanding of the Great Mosque of Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung about the Virtue hadith and Friday prayer practices and how the congregation is implemented at the Great Mosque of Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung regarding the Virtue hadith and Friday prayer practices. . The purpose of this study is to determine the understanding of the congregation of the Masjid Raya Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung regarding the Virtue hadith and Friday prayer practices and to describe the implementation of the congregation at the Grand Mosque of Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung regarding the Virtue hadith and Friday prayer practices. The data sources used are primary and secondary. Observation data collection methods (Observation), interviews, and documentation. After the data has been collected, it is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study are related to the understanding of the congregation of the Grand Mosque of Darul Ma'ruf about the hadith of the Prophet about the virtue and practice of Friday prayers, they understand that Friday as Friday is a day of forgiveness, Friday is the day of association and Friday. 'at is the greatest almsgiving and sacrifice. As for the implementation of the Friday prayer practice at the Masjid Raya Darul Ma'ruf Batang Kabung, the congregation divides it into three stages, namely the time to wait for Friday prayers, the time for prayer has entered and the prayer time has finished. Suggestions in this study are to revive the recitations, especially the discussion about prayer services and provide a variety of comfortable and peaceful facilities.]]>
