Abstract

This research aims to analyze the competitive strategies between Telkomsel and XL SIM card products using game theory. The research data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to students of FMIPA as respondents. The analyzed attributes include starter card price, call and SMS tariffs, signal quality, offered features, internet access capability, active/grace period, and prize lottery programs. The validity test results show that all attributes are valid, while the reliability test produces a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.71, indicating that the instrument is reliable. The analysis was conducted using a payoff matrix with pure strategies through the maximin and minimax approaches. The results show that the maximin and minimax values are equal, namely 20, indicating the existence of an equilibrium point (saddle point). The optimal strategy obtained is (X3, Y5), where Telkomsel uses the signal quality strategy and XL uses the internet access capability strategy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model on student’s mathematical representation abilities. This research was conducted at MTs S Nurul Iman Simpang Empat in the 2025/2026 academy year. The type of research used was a quasi experimental design with a two group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all eighth grade student’s. The samples were class VIII-B as the experimental class, which was taught using the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model and class VIII-C as the control class, which was taught using a direct instruction model. After the learning process was completed, the posttest resultes showed that the average score of the experimental class 82.4, while the control class was 76.6. The results of the t-test showed that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the Concepual Understanding Procedures learning model on student’s mathematical representation abilities.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the researcher’s commitment to improving the problem-solving skills of students at Meranti State Senior High School 1. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education model, supported by the Desmos application, on the problem-solving skills of Year 10 students at Meranti State Senior High School 1. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, specifically a two-group pre-test–post-test design. The population in this study comprised all Year 10 classes X-5 and X-6, selected using cluster random sampling. The subjects of this study were the students of Year 10 class X-6, serving as the experimental group using the Realistic Mathematics Education model supported by the Desmos application, and Year 10 class X-5, serving as the control group using the direct instruction model. The material used in this study was central tendency statistics: mean, median and mode of single data sets. Following the completion of the lessons, a post-test was administered, yielding an average score of 75.1 for the experimental class and 56.8 for the control class. The t-test results indicate a significant effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education model supported by the Desmos application on problem-solving skills in the statistics module for Class X at State Senior High School 1 Meranti.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a mathematics curriculum based on learning theories to improve students' critical thinking skills at SMK Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The method used was Research and Development consisting of needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects were tenth-grade students. The instruments included a critical thinking test, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results showed that the developed curriculum met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. This was indicated by an increase in the average critical thinking score from 58.8 to 78.9. In addition, the implementation of learning was categorized as very good (86.7%), and student responses were positive (84%). Therefore, the developed curriculum is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and the quality of mathematics learning.
