Abstract

In the world of marketing, marketing strategy is crucial. This course requires the active role of marketers in order to create innovative marketing strategies and effective way to reach consumers. Appropriate marketing strategy would benefit the company because it will be able to create customer loyalty. Honda is one of the motorcycle brand to a multi-branding strategy, the strategy of launching new products with new attributes in a single category of the same parent brand. The level of sales experienced an increase trend from year to year. Trend is especially true in the area Palangka Raya city.This study analyzes the influence of multi-branding strategy of Honda withits new product attributes of quality (X1), keiritan fuel (X2), product design (X3), services (X4), and the price (X5) customer loyalty (Y) . Analysis model used was multiple linear regression. Previously, testing the validity and reliabelitas, along with the classic assumption test of research data.Test results using multiple linear regression with the F test result in the conclusion that among the five variables that product attributes included in the models, namely quality (X1), keiritan fuel (X2), product design (X3), services (X4), and the price (X5 ), only three of which have a significant influence on customer loyalty (Y). The third variable is the quality (X1), fuel keiritan (X2), and services (X4). Three variables have a significance value smaller than 0.05, or in other words t-counted value is greater than t tables of 1.984. This partial test results concluded that the fuel keiritan (X2) is the variable most dominant influence on customer loyalty (Y). This can be seen from the calculated t value greater than t count the two other variables, namely for 4,932.Keywords : influence, customer loyalty, product attributes

Abstract

This research aims to know the differential strategy consisting of product function-based differential strategy, form of product-based differential strategy and subjective attribute-baseddifferential strategy that can give effects on the customer satisfaction by using a product.Population in this research was all customers of Samsung mobile phone. Sample determination was by accidental sampling while determination on number of sample used a formula by Suprantoand it was obtained number of sample by 100 people. Variables in this research consist of product function-based differential strategy, form of product-based differential strategy and subjective attribute-based differential strategy as independent variables and customer satisfaction as the dependent variable.Data collection method used questionnaire. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis.Results of the research show that the Nokia product function-based differential strategy has been good (75,90%), the form of product-based differential strategy has been good (73,47%), attribute subjective-based differential strategy has been good (75,90%) and the customer satisfaction has be in satisfied category (74,65%).Results of the analysis were obtained the regression equation by:Yˆ=8,804+0,370X1 +0,424X2+0,172X3. Meaningful test of regression coefficient with t test was obtained tcountfor variable of product function-based differential strategy by 4,422 with significance by 0,000,tcountfor variable of form of product-based differential strategy by 4,926with significance by 0,000,and tcount for variable of subjective attribute-based differential strategy by 2,122with significance by 0,036.Because the significance values of the three variable were less than 0,05so that it can be concluded that the product function-based differential strategy, form of product-based differential strategy and subjective attribute-based differential strategy influence partially on the customer satisfaction. This, it can be concluded that simultaneously, the product function-based differential strategy, form of product-based differential strategy and subjective attribute-based differential strategy partially influence on the customer satisfaction namely by 66,5%.Keywords: product differentiation, customer satisfaction

Abstract

Hospitality service companies must have an ability to design marketing strategy so that it can provide influences on the customers to stay, one of which is by knowing any factors giving influences on the customer decision. The factors giving influences on the customer decision to stay are service quality, facility, price and location. This research aims to know the influences of service quality, facility, price and location on the customer decision and which variable has the most influences of the service quality, facility, price and location on the customer decision. This research population is Sakura Palangka Raya Hotel customers.The samples were 115 consumers taken by incidental sampling technique. The variables in this research are service quality, facility, price and location as the independent variables and decision to stay as the dependent variable. The data collection methods were by questionnaire and documentation. The instruments were tested the validity and reliability. Data analysis used was percentage descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. The partial test result was obtained tcountof service quality by 2,086 with probability by 0,039<0,05, meaning that there is significant effect of service quality on the decision to stay and its contribution by 3,80%,tcountof facility by 2,532 with probability by 0,013<0,05meaning that there is significant effect of facility on the decision to stay and its contribution by 5,25%,tcountof price by 2,254with probability by 0,026<0,05 meaning that there is significant effect of price on the decision to stay and its contribution by 4,41%, tcountof location by 3,284 with probability by 0,001<0,05 meaning that there is significant effect of location on the decision to stay and its contribution by 8,94%.The regression modelis Ŷ=-2,809+ 0,283X1+0,263X2+0,177X3 +0,349X4.The stimulant test result was obtained Fcountby 45,435with probability by 0,000<0,05, meaning that there is significant effect of service quality, facility, price, and location on the decision to stay in Sekura Palangka Raya Hotel and the effect contribution by 60,9%.Keywords: Service Quality, Facility, Location and Decision to Stay

Abstract

Mechanism of investment is an initial stage in production activity of a nation. Investment also is the initial stage in economic development activity. In the effort to develop the economy, each country always tries to create such a climate to be able to encourage investment. The targets are not only the community or private party in the country, but also foreign investment. The research aims to (a) analyze whether manpower influences on the PMDN in Central Kalimantan Province, (b) analyze whether export influences on the PMDN in Central Kalimantan Province, (c) analyze whether inflation influences on the PMDN in Central Kalimantan Province, (d) analyze whether dummy variable of ecoomic crisis influences on the PMDN in Central Kalimantan Province, (e) analyze whether the effects of man power, export, inflation, and dummy variable on the Domectic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. The data used in this research is the secondary data obtained from Central Statistics Board and Annual Report of Bank Indonesia in various publication years. The data analysis was conducted by ordinary least square regression method, with function of domestic investment = f (Manpower, export, and inflation as well as dummy variable of economy).Results of the research are (a) The manpower provides positive effects on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province.It means that the increase on manpower will increase on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. (b) Export provides positive effects on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. It means that the increase on export will increase on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. (c) The inflation provides positive effects on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province.It means that the increase on inflation will increase on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. (d) The dummy variable of economic crisis provides negative and significant effects on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province.It means that the economic crisis will decrease on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province. (e) Results of the testing simultaneously show that the variables of manpower, export and inflation rate as well as dummy variable of economic crisis provide effects on the Domestic Investment in Central Kalimantan Province.Keywords: Capital Investment, Manpower, Export, Inflation.

Abstract

Students are expected to have good comprehension to deal with all reading aspects and difficulties in academic context. Furthermore, as the teacher we should prepare students with learning strategies so that the students can used their learning strategies to improve their reading comprehension which could not be taught optimally in the class. The comprehension process draw on many cognitive and linguistic abilities, especially vocabulary, recalling background knowledge, sentence processing, verbal reasoning, and working memory. Therefore, reading comprehension is an area where cognitive strategies are important. The objectives of this research are to find out the effect of cognitive learning strategies in teaching reading in improving students reading comprehension, and reading difficulties faced by students.This research applied quasi-experimental design by using non-equivalent control group design pre test and post test. The experimental class is students of morning class and the controlled class is students of night class, each class consists of 35 students. Both experimental and controlled classes are given pretest and post test. However, the treatment was only given to the experimental class. The data are collected through pretest, post test and questionnaire and were analyzed by using SPSS 17.0.The research results are: 1. The cognitive learning strategies are effective in improving reading comprehension; 2. The cognitive learning strategies help students to improve their reading comprehension by themselves both inside and outside the classroom, with or without the teacher assistance; 3. the cognitive learning strategies provide students with interesting, challenging, and enjoyable classroom activity. Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of product quality to customer satisfaction GSM Sim Card Prepaid XL Palangka Raya, (2) the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction GSM Sim Card Prepaid XL Palangka Raya, (3) the effect of price on consumer satisfaction GSM Sim Card Prepaid XL Palangka Raya, and (4) the effect of product quality, service quality, and price together on consumer satisfaction Prepaid Sim Card GSM XL Palangka Raya.This type of research used in this study was a survey. The population in this study are all consumers of Prepaid GSM Sim Card XL in the city of Palangka Raya. The sampling technique using purposive sampling method with a sample size of 200 people. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques used to answer the hypothesis is multiple regression.The results showed that: (1) There is a positive effect product quality to customer satisfaction Prepaid Sim Card GSM XL Palangka Raya, evidenced from t value of 4.404 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05; and a regression coefficient of 0.201, (2) There is a positive effect of service quality on customer satisfaction Prepaid Sim Card GSM XL Palangka Raya, evidenced from t value of 5.494 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a regression coefficient of 0.245, (3) there price positive influence on consumer satisfaction Prepaid Sim Card GSM XL Palangka Raya. It was proven that brand trust variable research results obtained t value of 5.074 with a significance value of 0.000 (0.000<0.05) and the regression coefficient has a positive value of 0.280, and (4) There is the influence of product quality, service quality, and price together on consumer satisfaction Prepaid Sim Card GSM XL Palangka Raya, evident from the calculated F value of 43.312 with a significance of 0.000<0.05.Keywords: Quality Products, Service Quality, Price, and Customer Satisfaction

Abstract

Civil Service Platform Ulin District of Banjarbaru professional work. The proof is the third indicator that researchers make a measure to assess the professionalism of the Civil Service Platform Ulin District of Banjarbaru namely work ability , work skills , and work experience , all of them showed good results . Efforts to increase the professionalism of the Civil Service in the District of Runway Ulin Banjarbaru done through rekreuitment employees in accordance with the needs of the organization and corruption-free , design work , arranged on the pattern of the employment relationship , work assessment carried out by an instrument Rate Job Performance Employees ( PPKP ) consisting of a Target Job employees ( SKP ) and Conduct of work , education and training of employees through leadership training , functional training and technical training , improving the discipline to enforce disciplinary rules in accordance with applicable regulations. Abstract

Learning math is one component of a series of subjects that have an important role in education that supports the development of science and technology. But until now there are many who have difficulty in doing math problems. Therefore we need the creativity and innovation of higher learning by teachers in managing learning in mathematics. One of them is to use a variety of media, including media images. This research was conducted at SDN 4 Guntung Manggis Banjarbaru. Descriptive quantitative research methods used with digging tools of observation data. Research shows that most respondents answered always 88.74% No media development drawings done by teachers in mathematics, sometimes the smallest portion 8.78% No image media development in mathematics and the smallest portion never 2,48% No picture of media development in mathematics. It is therefore recommended to teachers to always use media in learning, especially in math learning in order to improve understanding and students' motivation.Keywords: Development, media images, mathematics

Abstract

The main factor differentiating the service companies to others is the service quality. The customers become smarter in their orders and have more demand for the higher standard of the service. Thus, efficiency of the output is greatly needed in order to be able to fulfil the customers’ order. The efficiency of the output means that the employees can produce the output fitting to standard of the time given by the company. Whether the output is effective or not depends on each of the individual characteristics. It is because one of the factors influencing the output of employee is the employee characteristic (personal characteristic). The purpose of this study is examine the role of the individual characteristic variable in the improvement of output of the company found in PT. TIKI JNE Palangka Raya Branch.This study used the quantitative method with an explanation approach. The technique applied in getting the sample is by using a simple random sampling. One of techniques to collect the data is by using Questionnaire, which is distributed to thirty-four employees of PT. TIKI JNE Palangka Raya Branch. The instruments existed in the questionnaire are firstly tested by Cronbach Alpha. The data analysis use descriptive and quantitative method. The descriptive method uses crosstab (cross tabulation) by analyzing every variable crossly. While the quantitative method applied the discriminated stepwise model because the dependent variable is the categorical one and canonical correlation analysis. The results show that there are four independent variables having the significant role in the improvement of employee’s output in PT. TIKI JNE Palangka Raya Branch, such as the variable of the personality (0,548), behavioral (0,433), and ability (-0,315). Therefore, it can be concluded that to be able to achieve of the expected output, it is important to notice personality, behavioral as required in a certain position and to adapt between the personality of the employee and the position occupied.Keywords : Output, Individual Characteristic

Abstract

The application of character education in the materials’ of students’ activities at school was occurred when the qualities of three aspects of education changed. Three aspects here are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor which look to the knowledge improvement, behavior, and skill based on education pillars consequently with the realization of knowledgeable and characterized person. These categories of the functions of speech and politeness strategy always used by the teacher inleading the student to do their activities through the teaching learning process in the classroom. This study was conducted to find out the kind of functions of speech applied and politeness strategy used by the English teacher in the classroom interaction. The setting of the study was class XII and class X of SMK Negeri 3 Banjarmasin. The subject of this study was an English teacher. The data were collected by observation, and documentation. The data taken from three meetings of the teacher’s teaching schedules. The analysis of the functions of speech and politeness strategy in the classroom interaction is an analysis of the transcription of teacher’s speech in the class. This is similar with the way people analyze other transcription in general. Based on the findings, the teacher gives positive results toward this research. Teacher applied all those categories of the functions of speech needed by students to be knowledgeable person. And the teacher almost used positive politeness strategy in his teaching to shape up a politer characterized person. For the next researchers who are interested in the same topic, it is suggested to conduct a research about the analysis of the functions of speech and politeness strategy of the teacher’s speech applied in different school. The result of such studies can help the teacher leads the students’ learn in the classroom interaction more effective and politer for future learner.Key Words : Classroom Interaction, The Functions of Speech, and Politeness Strategy.
