Abstract

PT. X is a service company that focus on logistic and transportation. Fleet department is the department that responsible to handle, arrange, and monitor the delivery service in PT. X. It means that Fleet department is also responsible if there is any customer complaint. Increasing number in customer complaint means that the customer is not satisfy with the delivery service provided by the company. This research is conducted in order to determine what are the factors that influence customer satisfaction. By using Service Quality method, Gap Analysis, and Importance-Performance Analysis, the result will be in a form of conclusion and recommendation. The result for improvements are driver and truck safety appearance, easiness of contacting the company when there is a complaint, and information regarding with the delivery service. After determining the factors that most influencing customer satisfaction, Service Blueprint and Check List is made inorder to improve and control the factors occurred.

Abstract

As aviation systems across the globe always improving, every aspect in air transport must be in its best condition to support a smooth performance of flight; including ground handling services in airports. Ground handling service is a management system whilst an aircraft is on the ground or during the landing period. The management system is including aircraft maintenance, passenger management, safety and security maintenance, departure control, etc. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport as Indonesia gate to the world is demanded to have best service provided in this airport. PT.X as ground handling service company in the airport receives several complaint from its customers as the company still under development. The company needs to fix this by analyzing the aspects that can affect their customers’ satisfaction. The problem is able to be solved by using Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) and Potential Gain in Customer Value (PGCV) methods. A combination between these two methods is able to generate an improvement priority ranking that able to use by the company to improve their service performance in accordance with the most potentially give its customer the most satisfaction. There are total of 13 performance of service attributes that is undesirable by the customers. These 13 attributes are in both Main Priority and Low Priority quadrant that is produced by low Performance Level of servicesprovided. Attributes that are located in Main Priority quadrant become the first priority prior to the Low Priority quadrant that will generate lower potential gain for the customers’ satisfaction towards the company.

Abstract

PT. UK, an automotive producer, is one of the vendors of a motorcycle manufacturing company. During the production, it is needed Dies, jig and inspection jig. Dies is used for supporting the cutting and formingsheet metal into steel pipe for making a certain product. During the process, blanking Dies component is getting many collisions and frictions that can cause machine breakdowns. These breakdowns have an impact to production loss time. In 2016, the production was 697.41 hours. Not only the production loss, the customer deliveries were also late that caused penalty costs from customers. Therefore, the preventive maintenance is very important for the machine running during the production process especially for blanking Dies. By using FMEA, there are three critical components of three blanking Dies types. The calculation and simulation of decreasing shows that the number of breakdown can be decreased by 33,84% and the maintenance cost canbe saved by 26,22% compare to the current system.

Abstract

To support the production activities to maintain a good production activity, the company should concern on the operators’ health and productivity by providing proper working condition and tools considering the ergonomics aspects. This observation was conducted for operators in handling Bobbin Film Pack materials manually in cigarette company. The problem solving is analyzed by assessment of REBA, RWL, and CTDs. After analyzing the current working posture and lifting method from all of the chosen operators, the root causes were found. The result shows the bad working conditions which are the incorrect working methods and tools. The proposed improvements are used to provide better working condition, which are the new design of materials pallet that suitable with the ergonomics aspects.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to improve the current flow of information in the laboratory as it is found to be ineffective to reach the customers. This research is necessary and demanded to be finished as soon as possible as it may affect the product development in Toy Manufacturing company. To solve the information flow problem, it is then initiated the idea to develop a new progress tracking system, which is supposed to be able to provide real-time information to customers and make them able to react faster to problems. Lack of information in the problem could lead to longer development lead time. T The researchconducted during the project was basically involving literature review, online journals review, questionnaire, case study, and discussion. This research covers the whole development process of the system, up to theimplementation and evaluation. The result shows that there is improvement of 42.47% in delivering tracking information to the customers.

Abstract

PT XYZ is one of the pharmaceutical companies in Indonesia. There is a problem in the quality of the stability of formulation in acetaminophen syrup "X", which is the problem of product deposition. Experiment was conducted to see the effect of change of concentration of preservative or thickener to product quality and to know how big influence of speed of stirring to product quality. The method used is Design Of Experiment (DOE) with 2 factors: concentration of preservative or thickening and stirring speed to centrifugation and viscosity response; and each factor has 3 levels, for concentration of preservative or thickeners level tested is 10%, 15% and 20% while for stirring the level tested is 200 RPM, 300 RPM, and 400 RPM. The test is a laboratory scale test and collected data then analyzed using full random design method and then calculated statistically using two-factor analysis of variance method (ANOVA) to see the effect between concentration of preservative or thickening and speed of stirring to syrup deposition. The best combination obtained is a preservative or thickening concentration of 20% and 300 RPM speed ofstirring.
