AIMS AND SCOPE The aim of the Jurnal is to provide high-quality scientific papers covering the current issues within Islamic economics and finance. The journal is designed to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, and practitioners who are interested in new knowledge and discussing ideas, issues, and challenges in the field of Islamic economics and finance. The coverage includes but is not limited to: Islamic finance (Fundamentals, trends and opportunities in Islamic Finance, Islamic banking and financial markets, Risk management, Corporate finance, Investment strategy, Islamic social finance, Financial Planning, Housing finance, Legal and regulatory issues, Islamic microfinance); Islamic management (Corporate governance, Customer relationship management, and service quality, Business ethics and corporate social responsibility, Management styles and strategies in Shariah environments, Labour and welfare economics, Political economy, and such other topics as the Editors may deem appropriate). Abstract

This research aimed to examine factors affecting attitude and intention to use IB and to confirm customer decision-making. With the purposive sampling method, 165 valid responses from Muslim customers were analyzed using PLS-SEM. The data were collected in Jabodetabek cities and around using an online questionnaire during the pandemic covid in December 2021. The study revealed that sharia compliance, uncertainty avoidance, corporate image, customer attitude, and intention to use IB significantly and positively influenced, but customer awareness and the moderation role of religiosity did not influence.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and calculate the score of financial distress by using the financial ratios Altman Z-Score model. In addition, this research also aims to determine the liquidity ratio, profitability, leverage, market testing, and activity will significantly contribute to the discriminant equation. Data were collected from Shariah hotel, restaurant, and tourism sub-sector companies listed on the stock index Indonesian sharia before and during the covid-19 pandemic. Research result shows that using the Altman model, two companies in 2019 and 4 companies in 2020 have the potential to experience financial distress. Besides the results, research shows a significant influence between the liquidity ratio, profitability, and leverage on the Altman Z-Score discriminant equation. Then the results of subsequent research show a significant difference between the Altman Z-Score model in predicting financial distress in sub-company the hotel, restaurant, and sharia tourism sector listed on the Indonesian sharia stock index before the pandemic and during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The components of Risk Based Bank Rating, Bank Size, Inflation, and Interest Rates on Financial Distress of Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority in 2016-2020 are analyzed in this study. Using panel data regression analysis, the test results prove that the ROA, CAR, and GCG variables significantly negatively affect financial distress. The variable bank size has a significant positive effect on financial distress. While the NPF, FDR, Inflation, and BI rate variables do not affect financial distress.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the development of research related to zakat problems in Indonesia over the past ten years (2011-2021). Based on research using the SLR-Vosviewer method, it was found that ISRA International Journal of Islamic Finance is the journal with the highest impact factor or significance level with the Scopus Q3 category and its SJR of 0.345. The most widely used keywords in zakat journals are themed Zakat Management, while the keyword clusters are divided into 24 clusters. Finally, the latest zakat research links zakat and asymmetric information, bureaucracy, and efficiency. This study limited the sample to only journals indexed by Scopus, Sinta 1, and Sinta 2. The significance of the research lies in the SLR-Vosviewer method as a bibliometric analysis tool for the zakat challenge

Abstract

This study has a purpose: to analyze whether the decision to visit the Muaro Jambi Temple tourist attraction area is influenced by the service quality variable and physical evidence through the variable interest in the visit. As the research population in this study, it was determined that all visitors to the Muaro Jambi Temple tourism object during 2021. The number of research samples used was 100 respondents. The research approach uses a quantitative approach, while the research method is a survey. The data analysis used Partial Least Square (PLS). Before testing the data, the first thing to do is test the outer model, which includes validity and reliability tests. The results are that the quality of service affects the interest in visiting, the service to visitors affects the decision to visit, physical evidence affects a person's interest in visiting, and physical evidence affects the decision to visit. Interest affects the decision to pay a visit to the tourist attraction of the Muaro Temple area.

Abstract

Business competition through social media is increasing. This can be seen by the increasing number of social media users. Instagram is one of the social media that has a big and important influence in a business. Online marketing through social networks has developed into a very important communication system not only for producers of goods and services but also for customers. This study aims to analyze the marketing strategy of Ayunature Roromendut through Instagram social media which is reviewed from the perspective of Islamic economics. The research used is a qualitative approach research with descriptive type. Research with a case study method or approach. Ayunature Roromendut's marketing strategy uses social media Instagram. The promotional strategy carried out by Ayunature Roromendut uses special ads, endorsements, paid promote through Instagram. Ayunature Roromendut also often holds events such as product giveaways, price reductions, coupons or vouchers, and product discounts. The principle of Islamic Economics used in the promotion of Ayunature Roromendut is on the basis of consensual and no coercion from the seller to the consumer to buy the product.

Abstract

Currently, in Indonesia, the activities of MSMEs are increasing rapidly; this is evidenced by the proliferation of micro, small and medium enterprises, which are increasing daily. MSMEs have tremendous potential because they resist the current economic crisis after a prolonged pandemic. This study is also inseparable from the role of women in its implementation. Women have great potential for the progress of MSMEs in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method, which refers to a phenomenon by analyzing data sources obtained utilizing interviews, observations, and literature studies from previous studies. Most MSME actors are women with high responsibility, dedication, and honesty. Women can carry out multiple roles to help fulfill the family's economy.

Abstract

This study bridges the theoretical debate regarding the effectiveness of humble leaders in Asian cultures, especially employees in Islamic banks in Indonesia. A total of 162 employees in several Islamic banks were involved in the study. The first results show that humble leaders have a dual effect (u-shaped relationship), which can positively impact work engagement but can also have a negative effect if applied too much. Furthermore, using moderation regression, power distance orientation has an important role and can reduce the effectiveness of humble leaders on employee engagement.

Abstract

This article describes the concept of al Ujrah in Islam, which is appropriate as a reference for problems faced by companies or entrepreneurs when experiencing economic difficulties, especially learning from the experience of financial difficulties when faced with the issue of the Covid-19 pandemic 2.5 years ago. As well as the conditions in 2023 presented by the Indonesian and world economies will experience a recession or economic difficulties, so 2023 will be a year full of challenges and struggles for companies in terms of the policy of retaining employees with wages that have been stipulated in work contracts or wage adjustments by making new contracts. The purpose of this research, of course, is to provide accurate and correct references to become a reference for creating policies that are fair for employees as well as safe for companies or employers. This research is a research with a literature study. The data source used is the primary data source. Data collection techniques with literature studies and documentation. The analysis technique was carried out using the meta-analysis-aggregation method, selecting this data analysis to elaborate themes on zakat problems, then forming an analysis framework (conceptual framework), and finally formulating a synthesis by summarizing the various research results or summarizing. The results of the study show that Al Ujrah (wages) are payments or rewards, which can be in the form of goods, money, or other types of assets. Wages are given as an achievement for the results of business or services that have been provided by individuals. Payment of wages (al-ujrah) is carried out based on a work contract (contract), so adjustments to the mechanism and its implementation must also be carried out by deliberation and agreement between the workers and the employer, reflecting fairness and mutual understanding.
