Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui peran varietas tanaman jagung dengan dosis kompos kulit biji kopi terhadap peningkatan fisiologi dan produksi tanaman jagung. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan perkebunan Desa Tambon Tunong dan Laboraturium Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Malikussaleh pada bulan Oktober 2020 - Januari 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial dengan 2 faktor perlakuan sebanyak 3 kali ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah varietas yang terdiri dari Provit A-1, Pulut Uri, Gumarang, Sukmaraga. Faktor kedua adalah kompos kulit biji kopi yang terdiri dari 0 gram/polybag (Kontrol), 15 ton/ha (75 gram/polybag), 20 ton/ha (100 gram/polybag). Adapaun Peubah yang diamati seperti panjang tongkol dengan kelobot, berat tongkol dengan kelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, dan berat 1000 biji. Berdasarkan penelitian yang didapat bahwa penggunaan varietas dan kompos kulit biji kopi menunjukkan adanya interaksi terhadap peningkatan fisiologi dan produksi tanaman jagung pada perkembangan berat tongkol dengan kelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, dan berat 1000 biji. Penggunaan varietas Sukmaraga dan pemberian kompos kulit biji kopi 100 gram/tanaman dapat meningkatkan produksi akhir diantaranya peningkatan panjang tongkoll dengan kelobot, berat tongkol dengan kelobot, panjang tongkol tanpa kelobot, berat tongkol tanpa kelobot, dan berat 1000 biji.

Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a staple food for Indonesian people to fulfill their daily needs. Rice planting is expected to be able to produce high value, but nowadays it is constrained by the increasing condition of the land. Hydroponic cultivation is the right solution because it can be done on a narrow area but the response of plants to the slope of the hydroponic land is not yet known. This study aims to determine the effect of the slope of the hydroponic installation on the growth and yield of hydroponic rice plants. The research was carried out from June to September 2022, at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" East Java. The experiment used in this study was a Randomized Block Design with 3 replications and each replication had 10 samples. Treatment of the slope of the building consists of 0%, 3%, and 5%. Data were analyzed by the F test and continued with Duncan's multiple distance test with a level of 5%. The results showed that the installation slope of 0% gave the best results for plant and root length.
