Indonesian Journal of Arabic Studies (e-ISSN : 2686-1542 ) is a journal that publishes original papers researching or documenting issues in Arabic Studies. It is published by Departement of Arabic Language and Literature, IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The journal has regularly published twice a year in May and November. We accept original research, conceptual, and best practice articles related to Arabic Studies. Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the image of women in Arabic and Swahili Proverbs, and to identify the issues and meanings addressed by the owners of the environment in which the proverbs were said and broadcasted, in addition to highlighting the sweetness felt in the proverbs of humor and anagrams, which enhances literary pleasure. The research methodology used for this study was the comparative approach whereby an image of women was presented through Arabic and Swahili proverbs, and the researcher also used the descriptive analytical approach to highlight the contents of proverbs and their significance to reveal the image of women that reflects their status in society, and this enabled the researcher in comparing the image of omen between Arabic and Swahili proverbs. The results of the research indicated that there are proverbs in Arabic and Swahili languages that glorifies women and raises their status which are few when compared to  other proverbs that detract their status and reduce their value, we sometimes find that the two extremes coexist in one example. تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن صورة المرأة بين الأمثال العربية والأمثال السواحلية والوقوف على القضايا والمعاني التي يتناولها أصحاب البيئة التي قيلت وذاعت فيها الأمثال، فضلاً عن إبراز العذوبة المحسوسة في الأمثال من فكاهة وجناس مما يعزز المتعة الأدبية. وكان منهج البحث المسخدم لهذه الدراسة هو المنهج المقارن، إذ به تمت تقديم صورة عن المرأة من خلال الأمثال العربية والأمثال السواحلية، كما استعان الباحث بالمنهج الوصفي التحليلي لتسليط الضوء على مضامين الأمثال ودلالتها للكشف عن صورة المرأة التي تعكس وضعها في المجتمع، وهذا مكن الباحث من قيام بمقارنة صورة المرأة بين الأمثال العربية والأمثال السواحلية. وكانت نتائج البحث تشير إلى وجود أمثال في اللغة العربية واللغة السواحلية تمجد المرأة، وترفع من شأنها إلا أنها قليلة، إذا ما قورنت بالأمثال التي تحط من مكانتها وتقلل من قيمتها، حتى إننا نجد أحياناً تعايش النقيضين في مثل واحد.

Abstract

Abstract:This research aims to demonstrate the importance of creed in human life. The creed is one of the pillars upon which the legislation of divine and non-divine religions relies. Most people act according to their beliefs and religious affiliations. The righteousness of people reflects through their beliefs and integrity of thinking. In this research, based on the analytical descriptive method, we have explored some of the creedal issues of Bangladeshi Muslims mentioned in the famous Bengali-Islamic novel "Bishad Shindhu (Ocean of Sadness)" written by Mir Musharraf Husain. Reasoning from the Qur'an and Sunnah have been applied to these issues to reach a conclusion of the study. It is observed that the biggest disagreement among people has occurred due to creedal differences as certain matters can be injected into peoples creed which they believe in. Therefore, Allah the Almighty sent all the prophets and messengers who called to the true belief, the primary goal of creating mankind and the jinn. This can only be achieved by confirming the worship of Allah alone. The acceptance of worship and deeds depends on an individuals intention. While a pure creed validates every deed, the corrupted creed invalidates all activities to be void. That is why, our Prophet Muhammad worked thirteen years in Macca to call to worship Allah alone and to establish the true belief amongst mankind. This research has established that the creed of the novelist, Mir Musharraf Husain, is a Shiite faith, which is not compatible with the true religion of Islam.

Abstract

Islam is the religion of love, God has chosen Arabic as the language of this true religion. Reaching the peak of proficiency in meanings and statement; Because its wonderful melodies, how can we benefit from our understanding of generous language to feel the beauty of mercy and apply it in the life of the Islamic community in this century? In this research, I try to enumerate the reins of the Arabic statement to explain the Arabic language as the educational principle of religion, the study on Surat Al-Anbiya '107. This research starts from the Quran verse, Surat 107, with an objective approach to interpreting a verse, where all material and information becomes References from the literature on the topic, namely the Quran, and books, whether they are commentary books or other works related to the topic of this research. This endeavor is desk research so it is included in qualitative research. Data analysis was carried out three steps, namely, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The conclusion as follows : First, God has described Arabic as an outline, and the commentators have unanimously agreed on the meaning it meaning the most eloquent of Arabic. it also an indication that the language of the Quran exceeds the eloquence of the classical Arabic language, so God chose it in the Quran expression as the principle Religious. Secondly, the human behavior acquired is acquired through education, training and practice, so let us educate, train and practice ourselves to adhere to the Quranic behavior.

Abstract

Literature of its two kinds reached, during the Abbasid era, to the peak of goodness and splendor, whereby the mingling of Arabs with non-Arabs had its far-reaching impacts in refining the ideas and imagination, the maturity of culture, and improving the types of speech; poetry and prose. The narrative discourse took its best chance when the literary arts diversified in that era, and the narration should not be without a time in which events are narrated and characters revolve in its orbit. Hence this study came to shed light on narrative characters because it is the column of narrative narrative construction, and to show the types of narrative characters, and follow these different types of characters in samples from the early books of narration, such as "Fun and Familiarity”, “The Animal”, “The Statement and Clarification”, the “Calella and Damnah” and “Women's News”, using the descriptive and the analytical approaches, and thus To explore his gore and to discover its essence.لقد وصل الأدب بنوعيه في العصر العباسي إلى ذروة حُسنه وروعته؛ حيث كان لامتزاج العرب بالأعاجم آثاره البعيدة في تهذيب الأفكار وثقل الأخيلة ونضج الثقافة وتجويد ألوان الكلام من شعر ونثر، وقد أخذ الخطاب السردي حظه الأوفر حينما تنوعت الفنون الأدبية في ذلك العصر، ولا يتصور أن يكون هناك عمل سردي دون وجود العنصر الحيوي الذي يقوم بالأحداث أو تقع عليه الأحداث، ألا وهو الشخصيات؛ فالشخصيات السردية هي أهم مكونات العمل السردي، وهي العنصر الفعال فيه. ومن هنا جاءت هذه الدراسة لإلقاء الضوء على الشخصيات السردية باعتبارها عمود البناء الروائي القصصي، ولبيان أنواع الشخصيات السردية، وتتبع تلك الشخصيات بأنواعها المختلفة في مختارات ونماذج من  كتب السرد الحكائي العباسي؛ ككتاب "الإمتاع والمؤانسة" و"الحيوان"، و"البيان والتبيين"، و"كليلة ودمنة" و"أخبار النساء"، باستخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ثم الاستنباطي لسبر غوره وتبيين جوهره.

Abstract

This research aims to highlight the importance of context and its role in the coherence of the text and describe the coherence mechanisms revealed by Al-Zamakhshari during his interpretations. Al-Zamakhshari is considered one of the first who follow this aspect. The context is in its fate, giving it multiple meanings or limiting it to one meaning, and among the mechanisms mentioned by Al-Zamakhshari is the referral listing types and indicating its importance. The mechanisms are repetition and sympathy, and all of this will become clear during the research. The research followed a descriptive approach, but it did not remain a captive to it, but tried to benefit from other approaches as much as possible. The research has drawn conclusions from them; First: Although al-Zamakhshari  mention the word context only a few times, he used it a lot during his interpretation, as he deal with most contextual phenomena in an approach that reveals Zamakhshari's awareness of the importance of context in understanding the meaning. Second: Al-Zamakhshari realized the importance of text cohesion, and what repetition and referral bring about linking the text to each other. He took care of the assignee and the multiplicity of the assignee, which leads to the coherence of the text, this does not mean that he left it unchecked or restricted as he stresses the importance of taking into account the internal context and taking into account the Qur’anic systems. And its linguistic function, and its usefulness for the addresses, as Zamakhshari believes that repetition is rhetorical unless it benefits the reader, or the speaker wants to deliver a message to the reader through him. Third: Al-Zamakhshari paid great attention to conjunctions, and al-Zamakhshari showed the ability of conjunctions to connect parts of the text. يهدف هذا البحث إلى إبراز أهمية السياق ودوره في ترابط النص وتناسقه ووصف آليات التماسك التي كشف عنها الزمخشري أثناء تفسيره، ويعد الزمخشري من السباقين إلى تتبع هذا الجانب، فقد أولى هذا التماسك عناية فائقة، إذ ذهب إلى إبراز روابط النص، ودلالة هذه الروابط ومدى تأثير السياق في مآلاتها، وإعطائها معانٍ متعددة أو قصرها على معنى واحد، ومن الآليات التي ذكرها الزمخشري الإحالة معددا أنواعها ومبينا أهميتها ومن الآليات التكرار والعطف وسيتضح كل ذلك أثناء البحث. وقد اتبع البحث منهجا وصفيا، ولكنه لم يبق أسيرًا له، بل حاول الإفادة من المناهج الآخرى قدر الإمكان. لقد توصل البحث إلى نتائج منها؛ أولا: على الرغم من أن الزمخشري لم يذكر لفظ السياق إلا بضع مرات، إلا أنه استخدمه كثيرًا أثناء تفسيره، فقد تناول معظم الظواهر السياقية تناولًا يكشف عن إدراك الزمخشري لأهمية السياق في فهم المعنى. ثانيا: أدرك الزمخشري أهمية تماسك النص، وما يحدثه التكرار والإحالة من ربط النص بعضه ببعض. وقد اعتنى بالمحال والمحال إليه وبتعدد المحال إليه، والذي يؤدي إلى ترابط النص، فهذا لا يعني أنه قد تركه دون ضابط أو قيد إذ يشدد على أهمية مراعاة السياق الداخلي، ومراعاة النظم القرآني، ولكن الباحث لاحظ أن الزمخشري حينما تناول ظاهرة التكرار تناوله من جانب المعنى، ووظيفته اللغوية، وفائدته بالنسبة للمخاطب، إذ يرى الزمخشري أن التكرار يعد لغوًا إلا إذا أفاد فائدة للقارئ، أو أراد المتكلم إيصال رسالة للقارئ من خلاله. ثالثا: اهتم الزمخشري اهتمامًا كبيرًا بالعطف، وبين الزمخشري قدرة العطف على ربط أجزاء النص، ولم يكتف بذلك بل إنه كان يحدد دلالة حروف العطف وأسباب اختيارها.

Abstract

Language is every sound the people use to express their ideas and communicate with others. It is the basis of any language. Every language has its own unique systems in phonemic and orthographical symbols. According to this concept, Arabic is a Semitic language whereas Tamil is Indo –European language, there is no doubt that it is difficult to foreign language learners to identify the place of articulation of the unfamiliar sounds, its pronunciations and writing format. Among them are the Tamil – speaking Muslims who use and learn Arabic as a foreign language. They  face  difficulties in pronouncing  and  writing Arabic letters,  proper  nouns  and  term  words due  to  the  lack  of  clarity  in  the sounds between these two languages. This study try to identify similarities and differences between the sound of Arabic and Tamil languages. This research focus on descriptive and contrastive methods to analyze the data gathered from secondary data such as books and previous studies related to the topic. The result indicates that the Arabic letters are differ from Tamil letters in terms of their number, writing method and their shapes. And also, it has six vowels similar to the six vowels of Tamil language in pronunciation. But they differ in places of articulation and its aspects. Thus, Consonants of Arabic differ from Tamil consonants in pronunciation places of articulation and IPA for them. Consequently, this study will support to determine the pronunciation of Arabic letters and read Arabic language in the best way.إن اللغة هي أصوات يعبر بها كل قوم عن آرائهم وأفكارهم، وهي أداة تساعد على الاتصال بالآخرين. وكل لغة تتركب من جوانب أربعة : الأصوات، الصرف، النحو ، المعنى. وأما الأصوات فهي أساس اللغة، ولكل لغة  نظام صوتي خاص ورموز اصطلاحية. من خلال هذا النظر إلى إن اللغة العربية من العائلة اللغوية السامية والتاملية من مجموعة اللغات الهندو - أوروبية، ومما لاشك فيه يصعب على متعلمي اللغة الأجنبية تحديد مخارج الأصوات الجديدة ونطقها وكتابتها. ومنهم المسلمون الناطقون باللغة التاملية الذين يستخدمون ويتعلمون اللغة العربية كلغة أجنبية، فهم يواجهون المشقة في نطق وكتابة الحروف والأعلام والمصطلحات العربية لعدم الوضوح في أصوات اللغتين العربية والتاملية. فتركزت هذه الدراسة تحديد أصوات اللغتين العربية والتاملية، والكشف عن مواقع الشبه والخلاف الصوتي بين اللغتين. استخدمت هذه الدراسة المنهج الوصفي والتقابلي لتحليل المعلومات الثانوية التي حصلت عليها من الدراسات السابقة والكتب والمجلات والمقالات وماتتعلق بهذا الموضوع من الشبكات الإلكترونية. وفي ختام هذه الدراسة قد حددت الباحثة نتائج شتى، ومنها:  إن الحروف العربية تتناحر عن الحروف التاملية من حيث عددها وطريقة كتابتها واختلاف أشكالها حسب المواقع في الكلمات. كما أن في اللغة العربية ستة أصوات صائتة وهي تتشابه ستة أصوات صائتة في اللغة التاملية حسب النطق ولكن هناك تناحرا بين صوائتهما من حيث المخرج والصفة، كما أن الصوامت العربية تتناحر كثيرا عن الصوامت التاملية من حيث النطق والمخارج والرموز الصوتية الدولية لها. وإن هذه الدراسة تساعد على المسلمين وغير المسلمين الناطقين باللغة التاملية في تحديد نطق الأصوات العربية وقراءة اللغة العربية بأحسن وجه في المستقبل بواسطة الوضوح بين أصوات هتين اللغتين.

Abstract

This study aims to study the relationship of Ali Ahmad Bakathir's poetic text with the Quran text in what has been termed intertextuality. The poetic text does not form out of a void and does not go into a void as well. Suffix. The focus is on the poetic performer that this relationship benefited from in the structure of the poem through its reliance on linguistic or artistic interaction, and then the new roles that this text plays in the context of the poetic text, and its ability to crystallize the poets visions. The study investigated the presence of the Quranic text and its mechanisms that are common in Bakathir's poetic text, and emerged from its core functions and semantic dimensions by analyzing and stating its total, partial, or intangible function, or calling the Quranic personality, and clarifying its new roles in the poetic text formats, which concluded with the results are The Quranic text dominated the poetic styles of Bakathir and their diversity, between the total employment of the Quranic text, the partial or the inspiration of Quranic meanings, and the recall of characters and events of the Quranic stories. To enrich his poetic experience, and to contribute to strengthening the literary relationship between his text and the recipient; Because the Noble Quran has a sacred place in hearts, and the poetic text is in harmony with the Quran text, by quoting it or including it up to the quotation based on textualization, or referring to its meanings in order to enhance its stylistic construction, technical and aesthetic functions. Renewal for some purposes, and it calls for characters and events in Quranic stories; To support his poetic experience in dealing with my intention, its significance enriches the poetic text with its semantic and artistic dimensions.
