Abstract

AbstractDinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio is a dance studio that teaches traditional dance, dance creation and contemporary dance. The studio also teaches children's dance and opens special classes for children. In this studio, students who are not only children and adolescents, but there are also adults. This research aims to describe the management of Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio, which is domiciled in the City of Palembang, South Sumatra, which implements management functions in all aspects of studio activities including planning , organizing, implementing and controlling. This research applies a qualitative approach. The research subject is myself as the owner, founder and at the same time the manager of this studio. The object of this research is the Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio in Palembang which includes, its background and management system applied. Data collection techniques carried out in three ways, namely participant observe, interview and documentation. In this study using a human instrument that is the researcher himself who acts as an instrument, serves to determine the focus of research, choose informants as sources of data, collect data, assess data quality, analyze data, interpret data, and make conclusions on its findings. Data analysis techniques using data reduction, data description and conclusion drawing. The data validity test in this study uses the data triangulation method. The results of this study describe that the Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance Studio uses management functions as (1) planning, (2) organizing, (3) acting (Actuating), and (4) controlling (Controlling).Keyword : Management , Dinda Bestari Traditional Dance StudioAbstrakSanggar Seni Tari Tradisional Dinda Bestari merupakan sanggar tari yang mengajarkan tari tradisional, tari kreasi dan tari kontemporer. Di sanggar ini juga mengajarkan tari anak-anak dan membuka kelas khusus anak-anak. Dalam sanggar ini siswa yang tergabung tidak hanya anak dan remaja akan tetapi ada juga yang dewasa.Penelitian ini bertujuan mendiskripsikan seperti apa manajemen Sanggar Seni Tari Tradisional Dinda Bestari yang berdomisili di Kota Palembang Sumatera Selatan, yang menerapkan fungsi manajemen pada semua aspek kegiatan sanggar diantaranya perencanaan, pengorganisasian, Pelaksanaan dan pengendalian. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah saya sendiri selaku pemilik, pendiri dan sekaligus pengelolah sanggar ini. Objek penelitian ini yaitu Sanggar Seni Tari Tradisional Dinda Bestari di Kota Palembang yang meliputi, latar belakang berdirinya dan sistem manajemen yang diterapkan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu participant observe, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan human instrument yaitu peneliti itu sendiri yang berperan sebagai instrumennya, berfungsi menetapkan fokus penelitian, memilih informan sebagai sumber data, melakukan pengumpulan data, menilai kualitas data, analisis data, menafsirkan data, dan membuat kesimpulan atas temuannya. Teknik analisi data menggunakan reduksi data, deskripsi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini mendeskripsikan bahwa Sanggar Seni Tari Tradisional Dinda Bestari menggunakan fungsi manajemen  sebagai (1) perencanaan (Planning), (2) pengorganisasian (Organizing), (3) pelaksanaan (Actuating), dan (4) pengawasan (Controlling). Abstract

AbstractThe motto of PGRI Palembang University is that the campus advances with quality. Then a need for faculties to make a stragi in providing encouragement and motivation to the academic community to carry out the tri dharma of higher education. (FKIP) Palembang PGRI University through its highest leadership in the faculty gave a letter of assignment to work on the Mars song FKIP PGRI Palembang University to one of the music art lecturers in the performing arts education study program named Silo Siswanto, M.Sn. Then the Mars song was finished on July 23, 2018 and was launched on July 31, 2018 in the FKIP University of Palembang PGIP judicial event held at the Science Center building at the PGRI University in Palembang. Regarding the form in the Mars song, of course, this song has pieces of melody that are often known by the term phrases or musical sentences that make up the song. while the accompaniment music is arranged in an orchestra format. The formulation of the problem. (1) What is the form of Mars FKIP University PGRI Palembang song. (2) How is the accompaniment of Mars FKIP Palembang PGRI University music with orchestra format. The results of the discussion FKIP march song has a poly metric musical form where the antecedent phrase and consequent phrase do not have the same number of bars for example period C has 9 bars consisting of the phrase d 4 bars and the phrase e 5 bars.Keywords : Song Form, Mars Song, OrchestraAbstrakMotto Universitas PGRI Palembang yakni kampus melaju dengan mutu. (FKIP) Universitas PGRI Palembang melalui pimpinan tertingginya di fakultas memberikan surat tugas untuk penggarapan lagu Mars FKIP Univesitas PGRI Palembang kepada salah satu dosen seni musik di prodi pendidikan seni pertunjukan bernama Silo Siswanto, M.Sn. Kemudian lagu Mars tersebut selesai dibuat tanggal 23 juli 2018 dan di launching pada tanggal 31 juli 2018 dalam acara yudisium FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang bertempat di gedung Science Center Universitas PGRI Palembang. Mengenai bentuk dalam lagu Mars tersebut, tentunya lagu ini memiliki potongan-potongan melodi yang sering dikenal dengan istilah frase atau kalimat musik yang membentuk lagu tersebut. sedangkan musik iringannya diarransemen dengan format orkestra. Adapun rumusan masalahnya. (1) Bagaimana bentuk lagu Mars FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang. (2) Bagaimana musik iringan lagu Mars FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang dengan format orchestra. Hasil pembahasan Lagu mars FKIP memiliki bentuk musik poli metrik dimana frase antecedent dan frase consequent tidak memiliki jumlah birama yang sama misalnya periode C memiliki 9 birama yang terdiri dari frase d 4 birama dan frase e 5 birama.Kata kunci : Bentuk  Lagu, Lagu Mars, Orkestra

Abstract

AbstractArtistic arrangement is important in theater performances, as is Dul Muluk theater. "Decoration (scenery) is a background scene (background) where to play the play". Dul Muluk Theater is inseparable from the elements that support the show. The elements are divided into two parts, namely the main elements and supporting elements of the show. The main elements consist of: director, script, performer (actor / actress) and audience, while supporting elements of the show include: dress, property set, musical system, and stage decoration / decoration set. But in discussing this research journal, the writer discusses the supporting elements of his performance. The object of study in the research journal was the traditional arts group Dul Muluk Tunas Harapan, Pemulutan District, which was staged in Palembang. The theory used in this research journal is through Dramaturgi Harymawan's approach as grand theory. This type of research used in this research journal uses descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques carried out by observation, literature study, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research include; 1) Clothing that is useful to reinforce the character in accordance with the needs of the play, 2) Property as supporting elements of equipment in a theater performance, 3) Music Arrangement; apart from being a accompanist, illustrations, both as opening all the plays, opening scenes, giving effect to the play, and as a closing act also to give color and impression to the scene depicted on stage, 4) Tata Performances; the atmosphere of a place where the human soul can fly freely. A place where art is given breath.Keywords : Artistic Settings, Dul Muluk Theater, and Dramaturgy TheoryAbstrakPenataan artistik merupakan hal yang penting dalam pertunjukan teater, seperti halnya teater Dul Muluk. ?Dekorasi (scenery) merupakan pemandangan latar belakang (background) tempat memainkan lakon?. Teater Dul Muluk tidak terlepas dari unsur-unsur yang mendukung pertunjukan. Unsur-unsur tersebut dibagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu unsur pokok dan unsur pendukung pertunjukan. Unsur pokok terdiri dari: sutradara, naskah, pemain (aktor/aktris) dan penonton, sedangkan unsur pendukung pertunjukan meliputi: tata pakaian, set properti, tata musik, dan tata pentas/set dekorasi. Namun dalam pembahasan jurnal penelitian ini penulis membahas unsur pendukung pertunjukannya. Obyek yang dijadikan kajian dalam jurnal penelitian adalah kelompok seni tradisional teater Dul Muluk Tunas Harapan Kecamatan Pemulutan yang dipentaskan di Palembang. Teori yang digunakan dalam jurnal penelitiaan ini yaitu melalui pendekatan Dramaturgi Harymawan sebagai grand teori. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam jurnal penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, studi pustaka, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian di antaranya adalah; 1) Tata Pakaian yang berguna untuk mempertegas karakter sesuai dengan keperluan lakon, 2) Properti sebagai unsur pendukung perlengkapan dalam pertunjukan teater, 3) Tata Musik; selain sebagai pengiring, ilustrasi, baik sebagai pembuka seluruh lakon, pembuka adegan, memberi efek pada lakon, maupun sebagai penutup lakon juga untuk memberi warna dan kesan pada adegan yang digambarkan di atas pentas, 4) Tata Pentas; suasana tempat di mana jiwa manusia dapat terbang dengan bebas. Abstract

AbstractThis work is titled ?Human Face Expressions in Responding to Life as an Idea on the Creation of Graphic Art Work?. Facial expressions that arise from a person, originated from the interaction of what he sees and what is stored in his mind. In the work that is made, the visual expression of the human face drawn is more focused on Ninik Mamak. Ninik Mamak or better known as the headman is the adat leader (functional adat) in Minangkabau. Ninik Mamak's position is as a holder of sako datuk (datuak) for generations according to maternal lineage in the matrilineal system. The creator chose ninik mamak as an object on the theme raised. The work created is the result of borrowing figures from a number of ninik mamak faces in Minangkabau. Ninik mamak or better known by the name of the ruler is the traditional leader in Minangkabau. Mamin ninik's position as holder of sako datuk (datuak) is hereditary according to maternal lineage in the matrilineal system. Facial expressions born from mamak ninik will later create a response when facing a social conflict that occurs in life. Where culture and customs in Minangkabau began to erode by the development of modern times. This is aimed at introspection and awareness to the public of negative social behavior through mamak ninik's facial expressions and figures in Minangkabau. Ekspresi wajah yang timbul dari seseorang, berawal dari interaksi terhadap apa yang dilihatnya dan apa yang tersimpan di dalam pikirannya. Pada karya yang dibuat, visual ekspresi wajah manusia yang tergambar lebih dititikberatkan kepada Ninik Mamak. Ninik Mamak atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama penghulu adalah pemimpin adat (fungsional adat) di Minangkabau. Jabatan Ninik Mamak  adalah sebagai pemegang sako datuk (datuak) secara turun temurun menurut garis keturunan ibu dalam sistem matrilineal. Pencipta memilih ninik mamak sebagai objek pada tema yang diangkat. Karya yang diciptakan merupakan hasil dari peminjaman figur beberapa potret wajah ninik mamak di Minangkabau. Ninik mamak atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama penghulu adalah pemimpin adat di Minangkabau. Jabatan ninik mamak sebagai pemegang sako datuk (datuak) secara turun temurun menurut garis keturunan ibu dalam sistem matrilineal. Ekspresi wajah yang terlahir dari ninik mamak ini nantinya akan menciptakan respon ketika menghadapi suatu konflik sosial yang terjadi dalam kehidupan. Di mana kebudayaan dan adat istiadat di Minangkabau mulai terkikis oleh perkembangan zaman modern. Hal ini bertujuan untuk introspeksi dan penyadaran kepada masyarakat terhadap prilaku sosial yang bersifat negatif melalui figur dan ekspresi wajah ninik mamak di Minangkabau. Abstract

AbstractThis article is the result of a typical Palembang wood carving work. Starting from the increasingly few antiques in the antique gallery owned by Ibu Hj's family. Roswati made him intrigued to grow and develop his business since 1974 and to preserve the carving art furniture in the form of Palembang wood carving. Then continued by a similar craftsman in the Home Industry Q Laquer owned by Mr. Jaja is a typical Palembang wood carving art craftsmanship in Kelurahan 19 Ilir. The purpose of this research is to find out and describe the process of making Palembang's unique wood carving arts. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method using data collection techniques of observation, interviews, and documentation. The types of decoration in the wood carving art are the decoration that characterizes the city of Palembang as from the motifs of plants with golden, black, and red patterns. The variety of wood carving that is applied to handicraft objects is basically a pure decoration, which functions solely to decorate or beautify. The results of typical Palembang carving crafts include decorative cabinets, chairs, tables, wardrobes, frames, and various kinds of furniture. Through this research by examining how Palembang wood carving art in particular the manufacturing process, is expected to contribute to the people of Palembang City in order to develop and preserve these cultural assets.Keywords : Wood Carving Art, Decorative Variety, PalembangsAbstrakArtikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian karya seni ukir kayu khas Palembang. Bermula dari semakin sedikitnya barang antik di galeri antik milik keluarga Ibu Hj. Roswati membuat beliau tergugah untuk menumbuhkembangkan usahanya tersebut sejak tahun 1974 serta melestarikan kembali kerajinan seni ukir berbentuk mebel dengan ukiran kayu khas Palembang. Kemudian diteruskan juga oleh seorang pengrajin serupa di Home industri Q Laquer milik Bapak Jaja merupakan kerajinan seni ukir kayu khas Palembang di Kelurahan 19 Ilir. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui serta mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan kerajinan seni ukir kayu khas Palembang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Ragam hias pada kerajinan seni ukir kayu tersebut ialah ragam hias yang mencirikhaskan kota Palembang seperti dari motif tumbuh-tumbuhan dengan corak warna kuning emas, hitam, merah. Ragam hias ukir kayu yang diterapkan pada benda-benda kerajinan pada dasarnya adalah ragam hias murni, yang berfungsi semata-mata untuk menghias atau memperindah. Hasil karya kerajinan seni ukir khas Palembang tersebut diantaranya berupa lemari hias, kursi, meja, lemari pakaian, bingkai, dan aneka macam mebel. Melalui penelitian ini dengan mengupas bagaimana seni ukir kayu khas Palembang khususnya proses pembuatannya, diharapkan dapat memberi kontribusi kepada masyarakat Kota Palembang agar bisa mengembangkan dan melestarikan aset budaya tersebut.Kata kunci : Seni Ukir Kayu, Ragam Hias, Palembang

Abstract

AbstractStructuralism for its adherents assumes that in humans there is a basic ability inherited genetically, so that this ability exists in all normal humans, namely the ability to structure, to structure, construct a structure, or attach a certain structure to the symptoms that it faces . The above statement assumes that every human being has the ability to create works of art from existing phenomena and is able to analyze the phenomena or phenomena with a structured method. Structural theory of language above that makes Levi-Strauss managed to see something behind the manifestation of human work. A work of art is a representation of students seeing phenomena or issues in their environment. This phenomenon makes artists feel touched and arouse and tickle their feelings to express it through the medium of art. Behind the manifestation of human work in it contains the value and meaning to be conveyed. These values and meanings have unconsciously shaped someone's ideas or thoughts. Thus it can be said that anything in this world according to Levi-Satruss's view is a system that has structures that govern it. In Structuralism the signifiant order or marker precedes meaning, in other words that talking about the existence of humans is actually not as a subject, on the contrary the existence and structure itself speaks of itself through human speech about existence. Keywords : Structuralism, Phenomenon, Significant, and SymbolsAbstrakStrukturalisme bagi para penganutnya beranggapan bahwa dalam diri manusia terdapat kemampuan dasar yang diwariskan secara genetis, sehingga kemampuan ini ada pada semua manusia yang normal, yaitu kemampuan untuk strukturing, untuk menstruktur, menyusun suatu struktur, atau menempelkan suatu struktur tertentu pada gejala-gejala yang dihadapinya. Pernyataan di atas memiliki asumsi bahwa setiap manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk menciptakan karya seni dari fenomena yang ada dan mampu menganalisis gejala-gejala atau fenomena-fenomena tersebut dengan metode yang terstruktur. Teori struktural bahasa di atas yang membuat levi-Strauss berhasil melihat sesuatu di balik perwujudan karya manusia. Sebuah karya seni merupakan representasi dari siseniman melihat fenomena-fenomena atau isu-isu yang ada di lingkungannya. Fenomena tersebut yang membuat seniman merasa tersentuh dan menggugah serta mengelitik perasaannya untuk mengekspresikannya melalui medium seni. Di balik wujud karya manusia tersebut di dalamnya mengandung nilai dan makna yang hendak di sampaikan. Nilai dan makna tersebut secara tidak sadar telah membentuk ide gagasan atau pemikiran seseorang. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa apapun di dunia ini menurut pandangan Levi-Satruss merupakan sistem yang memiliki struktur-struktur yang mengaturnya. Dalam Strukturalisme tatanan signifiant atau penanda mendahului makna, dengan kata lain bahwa berbicara tentang adanya manusia sebenarnya bukanlah sebagai subjek, sebaliknya adanya dan struktur itu sendiri berbicara tentang dirinya melalui pembicaraan manusia tentang adanya.Kata kunci : Strukturalisme, Fenomena, Signifiant, dan Simbol

Abstract

Keluhkupan is a traditional tool used by the Daya tribe as the conveyor of information by using the main wood (keluhkupan) and stick (helu) which are hit with hard blows that have different rhythmic patterns from the signs of disaster that exist in each wasp of complaints. among them are fatalities, natural disasters and riots. The three strokes have different sound patterns from dynamics, tempo and rhythm. The people who are believed to beat Keluhkupan are only allowed to be traditional leaders (men only) and those who beat Keluhkupan must really know how the sound patterns of Negu Death, Negu Sasah Bencana and Negu Sasah Huru-hara sound patterns. Negu Death is carried out when a villager dies, traditional leaders beat Keluhkupan from soft to stronger with punches from slowly to faster. Negu Sasah This wasp disaster is carried out if there is a disaster tokah adat hitting Keluhkupan powerfully and quickly. Abstract

Structuralism for its adherents assumes that in humans there is a basic ability inherited genetically, so that this ability exists in all normal humans, namely the ability to structure, to structure, construct a structure, or attach a certain structure to the symptoms that it faces . The above statement assumes that every human being has the ability to create works of art from existing phenomena and is able to analyze the phenomena or phenomena with a structured method. Structural theory of language above that makes Levi-Strauss managed to see something behind the manifestation of human work. A work of art is a representation of students seeing phenomena or issues in their environment. This phenomenon makes artists feel touched and arouse and tickle their feelings to express it through the medium of art. Behind the manifestation of human work in it contains the value and meaning to be conveyed. These values and meanings have unconsciously shaped someone's ideas or thoughts. Thus it can be said that anything in this world according to Levi-Satruss's view is a system that has structures that govern it. In Structuralism the signifiant order or marker precedes meaning, in other words that talking about the existence of humans is actually not as a subject, on the contrary the existence and structure itself speaks of itself through human speech about existence.

Abstract

Bio-musical instruments can be defined as musical instruments made from plant wastes in the surrounding environment. One of the plant waste that is easily found in the community is coconut shell. Coconut shells are often overlooked for their use as a creative medium, especially in the field of music. Musical instruments are the main media for creativity in the art of music. The rise of musical instruments or musical instruments with high prices has become one of the inhibiting factors for young people to be creative in the field of music. Seeing this phenomenon, it is deemed necessary to develop people's creativity in making their own musical instruments at economical prices but still able to compete with manufactured musical instruments. In making this bio-instrument, the method used consists of problem identification, preparation, application, and evaluation. Through this method, the results obtained in the use of coconut shell waste into creative media are the Kalimba instrument played by plucking the iron keys as the source of the tone, while the coconut shell is used as the main medium for the sound resonance of the Kalimba instrument. Kalimba is classified into a type of lamellophone instrument, which is a musical instrument that has a tongue or a thin plate. In addition to the easy-to-use manufacturing process, the tools and materials in making these instruments are also easy to find and can even take advantage of used materials. The results of making bio-musical instruments are expected to become a reference and reference for academics and non-academics, regarding how to make musical bio-instruments using coconut shell waste.
