Abstract

World Resources Institute data shows that there will be a fresh water crisis in 2040 including Indonesia. Responding to the above, many studies have been carried out using seawater, one of which is on concrete. Several studies have shown that seawater does not reduce the quality of concrete, but provides a corrosion effect on reinforcement. In this study, sea water concrete slabs have been made using bamboo as a reinforcement that will not corrode due to seawater. For concrete mix design refers to SNI SNI 03-2834-2000 and for slab flexural strength refers to 03-2847-2002. Slab specimens with sea water concrete that have been made consist of Slab concrete of steel reinforcement (SCS), Slab concrete of bamboo reinforcement V type notch (SCBV)? and Slab concrete of bamboo reinforcement? U type notch (SCBU).The result of the compressive strength of sea water concrete can reach the compressive strength of the plan. Tensile strength of bamboo reaches 223.5MPaand approaching the tensile strength of steel reinforcement. The maximum load of SCBV and SCBU were decrease than theoretical analysis of0.14% and 21.51% respectively. Otherwise, the maximum load of SCS greater than theoretical analysis with a difference of 14.67%. The flexural strength of the concrete slab was not affected by sea water as in compressive strength of cylinder. Keywords: Bamboo reinforcement slab, Flexural strength, Seawater concrete

Abstract

ABSTRACTRivers drain water by embracing a gravitational philosophy, in which water always flows from high to low or downstream to downstream. The process of river water flow is an endless natural process, closing the hydrological cycle by restoring the river runoff to the sea. For centuries, rivers have been used as a source of clean water, meeting human needs for drinking water, sanitation, irrigation, and so on. Large rivers are dammed to store water in the wet season and use it in the dry season for various purposes.Kali Gung or Kaligung or also known as Kaligung river is a river that flows in Tegal regency, Central Java. This river is one of the largest rivers in Tegal besides Kali Ketiwon and Kali Kemiri. This river is called Kali Gung because it is tangent to the spring that comes from Mount Agung is an ancient name from Mount Slamet in pre-Islamic times in Java. Upstream or spring water Kaligung located in the north of Mount Slamet and empties to the north precisely in the sea of Java. Keywords: Hydrologycal cycle, rivers, downstream, upstream, Kaligung.

Abstract

The use of light wood combined with heavy wood can improve the quality of the combinationwood. Apart from being used as laminated beams, a combination of light wood and heavy wood can also be used as a laminated column given compressive loads. Based on SNI 7973-2013, the adhesive that was permitted on built up columns or laminated columns can be in the form of bolts and nails, so this study has also used adhesive nails and bolts. This study purpose to determine the compressive capacity of the laminated column which combines several types of wood. The specimens made were four variations of the laminate column. Furthermore, three layers of wood have been used on one laminated column with heavy wood types on the outermost layer. The results showed that all variations of the laminated column had a higher compressive capacity than the solid column.?Keywords: compressive capacity, lamination column, light and heavy wood

Abstract

As a foundation under the structure can be generally divided into two types, namely the foundation deep and shallow foundation. Selection of the type of foundation depends on the type of structure including the construction load on whether light or heavy loads and also depending on the soil type. For the construction of a light load and soil conditions quite well, usually worn shallow foundation, but the construction of a heavy load is usually the type of deep foundation is the right choice. In general, the more complex the deep foundation of a shallow foundation. To this writer tried to concentrate on planning the foundation of this thesis in which bored pile (Bored Pile Foundations). Bored Pile foundation is a foundation built by drilling the ground first, then filled with steel reinforcement and cast. Bored pile used when soil solid base which has a carrying capacity of it lies very deep, which is approximately 15 m as well as the state of the soil around the many stands a large building and rise to the feared could lead to cracks in the existing building effect vibrations caused by staking activity when administered pile foundation. Carrying capacity of bored pile end bearing capacity is obtained than that obtained from pressure and friction pile tip bearing capacity obtained from carrying friction or adhesion force between the bored pile and the surrounding soil.Keyword:Bored Pile, Axial Bearing Capacity, SPT, Loading Test

Abstract

The development of cities in Indonesia is marked by the high number of commuters (commuters) who travel between the main city and the surrounding city or district (hinterland) or between regions within a city due to an increase in population, population activities, types of services, and the relative functioning of the economy national and regional level of a country..       Transportation problems and challenges are multi-dimensional between transportation systems and urban systems, both operational, management and policy aspects. Urban transport policies that care about sustainable development in developing countries are very complex, but can be studied especially in the public transportation system because it is more possible when compared to private transport at this time.       In Indonesia, the number of motorized vehicles is increasing every year. The addition of that number in 2012 reached 10,036 million units, resulting in the population recorded in the Indonesian National Police increased 12% to 94.292 million units compared to only 84.19 million in 2011 (Kurniawan, 2013). Based on data from the National Police also stated that in 2012 there were 109,038 accident cases with 27,441 people died. Different data from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs and People's Welfare of the Republic of Indonesia states that motorcycle rider accidents have reached 120,226 times or 72% of all traffic accidents in a year. Most accident cases occur in people with lower middle economic level as motorcycle and public transportation users (State Intelligence Agency, 2013).       As released by WHO (World Health Organization), of all accidents that occur on the highway, the human error factor (human error) has the highest contribution, reaching between 80-90 percent compared to the factor of vehicle vehicle improperities ranging from 5-10 percent, as well as due to damage to road infrastructure by 10-20 percent (DG Hubdat, 2010). Vehicle facilities that often occur are less than 1 millimeter of tire grooves resulting in vehicle skid or tire breaks, brakes failing, metal fatigue resulting in broken vehicle parts, worn equipment not replaced, and various other causes. This is very much related to the technology used and the care done to the vehicle. One of the government's efforts to improve road safety is through safety vehicle action programs such as compliance with vehicle operations, organizing periodic and type test repair procedures, handling overloading, vehicle scrapping, and developing motor vehicle design that aims to improve vehicle safety technology (DG Hubdat, 2013).Keywords:Transportation Performance, User Satisfaction.
