Abstract

Planning the design of building foundations depend on the results of soil investigation. Soil parameters used in the foundation design can be obtained from the results of ground investigation field or laboratory testing. Field investigation of soil that are commonly used to study the behavior and deformation of elastic stiffness and undrained shear strength is the Plate Bearing Test. In this research, soil investigation by Plate Bearing Test and interpretation of the results of investigations done to determine foundation design parameters of power plant building in West Java. Investigations carried out on three-point spread in the location of power plant . the results of plate bearing test are load-settlement curves. Then, analysis of parameters of the investigation done to obtain design parameters of power plant building foundations. The results showed that the subgrade modulus, elastic modulus and undrained shear strength at each point varies with the range of values are 994.77 ton/m3 to 1634.49 ton/m3, 297.57 ton/m3 to 488.94 ton/m2, 0.22 ton/m2 to 0.66 ton/m2. It can be concluded occur inconsistency of subgrade layer at this location. The results of this investigation can then be used as foundation design parameters in the planning of power plant building. For a more conservative design, soil parameters with the smallest value can be used as foundation design parameters.

Abstract

The experiment was focused at the midspan part of the slab and conducted to investigate the influence of surface roughing at semi precast slab of the characteristic of elastic of slab made monolithically. In the research, it was conducted testing of two groups of slab which has 1:1 scales. Each group consists of  three. The first group was the monolith slab as control speciment. The second group was the composite slab with surface roughing. Each group was loaded by the repeated center static loading until 10 % of the ultimate load, then the load was taken off. The treatment was carried out 10 time (cycle). The testing result showed that the flexural stiffness of monolith slab and composite width of 400 mm and 600 mm as long as loading 10 was consistent, and the flexural stiffness of slab width of 600 mm was higher than that of slab width of 400 mm. The flexural stiffness increased was not proportion to increased of slab width measurement. At the repeated loading cycle ( 10 cycle), the flexural stiffness of composite slab before P firstcrack reached about 45,21 % (width of 200 mm), 31,70 % (width of 400 mm), and 20,52 % (width of 600 mm) less than that of monolith slab.P first crack

Abstract

Bengkulu is an earthquake prone area, so that the construction of buildings/houses should be based on the concepts of earthquake resistant houses. But to make earthquake-resistant housing, people has been frequently use material sea sand as a mixture of concrete. Research on the use of sea sandas fine aggregate in concrete mix is background by the availability of sea sand in a very large number in the city of Bengkulu. This study aims to find out how big the compressive strength of concrete is produced when using sea sand with some treatments. The treatment used to the sea sand is without treatment, soaked for 24 hours and the addition of lime 5%, 10%, 15% by weight ofcement. Concrete planned to use fas 0.5 with a cylindrical sample and amount 30 pieces. The results showed that the use of sea sand in concrete mix was a mixture of concrete without treatment produces an average compressive strength of 16.65 MPa, the concrete mix with soaked treatment of 19.79 MPa, and the addition of lime 5%, 10%, 15% in the amount of 20,72 MPa, 20,72 MPa,18,69 MPa

Abstract

Houses in the city of Bengkulu has several typical, both technical and non-walls house technical, semipermanent houses an d wooden houses. In some earthquakes that occured in the city of Bengkulu, the damage most occur in homes walss. A typical home built to include permanent and non permanent home that can be characterized based on the type of foundation, walls, strengthening structure and type of roof. This determines the typical damage caused by earthquake. The analysis was performes on 200 samples of homes in the city of Bengkulu using the method of observation and survey instrument interviews with written and directed. The result show that many typical houses in Bengkulu is home walls (89%) using continuous foundation stone (67.10%) and zinc roof coverings (65.80%). While strengthhening the structure used standard (Sloof 71.6%, 40.65%) and the column or beam around the ring either 50.32%), although the typical house has indicated the implemnentation of retrofitting structure not taking into account the buliding to earthquake or follow the requirements of earthquake resistant buildings, the use of tin roof was according to house quake-prone region.

Abstract

Just In Time (JIT) Methode in Construction Project Logistic Management. The aim of this research is to know the understanding description of Just In Time (JIT) concept and readiness of contractor to application JIT principal in project construction activity. Design of research is exploration study from construction company inBanda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Generally, construction company in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar was begin to apply a few of JIT concept in project activity. Although, many of construction company don’t understand what JIT is, benefit and purpose from application this concept in logistic management.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the type and weight of vehicles that pass roads in Bengkulu through surveys at weigh stations Air Sebakul Bengkulu. The study was conducted because of indications of cargo transport vehicles, exceeding the permitted capacity of roads in Bengkulu Province. The study methods was done byfield survey. The results showed that 98.71% of vehicles that pass through weigh stations Air Sebakul Bengkulu is a type of vehicle two aces. 95% of heavy vehicles passing through roads in Bengkulu exceed the heaviest load axis (MTS), which allowed when applying zero tonnage and 77% of vehicles exceeding the permitted MTS when applying the tolerance to 50%.
