Abstract

This research studies the impact of economic growth and real wages through the demand of labor in DKI province from the 2005 to 2010. Problems of the research is formulated into two primary aspect. First, What is the impact of the DKI’s economic growth 2005 to 2010 through the demand of labor. Second, what is the impact of real wages through the demand of labor in DKI from 2005 to 2010. The secondary data from BPS Jakarta are use in this study with time series format from 2005-2010. The result are showing that economic growth and the real wage simultaneously affect to the demand of labor in DKI from period 2005 to 2010 which determinant cooficient is 0,83. It’s mean that the model which is proposed can explained 83% the variation of dependent variable. Economic growth have a positive impact meanwhile the real wages has the opposite impact to the demand of labor. Keywords- Economic growth, real wages, demand for labor

Abstract

The right strategy execution by business and commercial organizations expected to improve performance, however the current corporate strategy is viewed no longer enough, and should start paying attention to imaging as a means to seize the market, the brand can also be seen as something that can strengthen or weaken the positioning in the eyes of the market. Mapping of corporate  brand Is reviewed from the point of evalution and relevance should be right on target and should be used as supportive data for making short and long term strategy of the organizations. This research discussed about how mapping the universities brand, mapping activities was divide in to three measurement, which is Brand Awareness, Brand Preference and Brand Perception. This research also segementing respondents in two segments, senior high school students and parents, this research located in West Jakarta, research target is mapping universities brand in national context, thus universities in answer separate in national universities.Result from this research showing that University of Indonesia is Top of Mind in senior high school students Brand Awareness with 19,17% and Tarumanagara University is Top of Mind in parents brand awareness with 28,33%. Whereas brand preference result in University of Indonesia is the most preference in students and parents perpectives with 24,17% and 27,5%.Keywords : Brand, Universities, Brand Awareness, brand preference, brand perception

Abstract

The advance in food technology and the effort from producer to fulfill the need of customers, have had produces a wide variety of products. Each of these products competes in the market to grab the attention of consumers. For example is the instant noodle product in packaging. There are currently fifty brands of instant noodle in packaging with variety of flavours and sizes.Buying instant noodle products is classified to low involvement process. This research will discuss what factors determine brand loyalty, as well as mapping the posisition of each brand in the market today in a map of perceptions. The results of calculation by using the regression analysis showed distribution, brand awareness, and brand image are the main determining factors of brand loyalty. To win the competition, the manufacturer should always put on a marketing strategy that includes: accessible on the stalls or shops nearby (availability), good quality products and brand well known or popular among consumers (acceptability), determination of price range, should be proper to consumers affordability, memorable but not cheap (affordability). Keywords : positioning, loyalitas merk, peta persepsi, low involvement.

Abstract

The success of a college not just depends only on how the organizational processes and implement daily activities, however routine and play activities are integrated in all components of the conditional conflict-prone organization. Increase the need of the efficiency and effectiveness bring to the requirement of the innovation efforts. It have to managed by well-plan and assured sustainability to sharpen and enhance the feasibility of-way activities, programs, and policies in the strategic management perspective (strategic management). AMIK Wahana Mandiri as one of college computer, which if it is not transforming itself in order to keep pace with changes, then it is will be eliminated out from the competition. The steps that were previously used to run mission-vision are no longer appropriate and should be replaced with a more innovative and appropriate for the achievement of the vision, mission and goals of the organization. AMIK Wahana Mandiri should examine trends which is emerging to survive, exist and continually assess the current conditions. One of important thing should consider to do is increasing the quality performance of the employee and lecturer. In the implementation of common performance gap, it is necessary for an evaluation of the performance gap in improving university management.Keyword- Evaluation, Inequality, Lecturer Performance, Quality Management, Higher Education

Abstract

For almost all sales men, the strategy of time becomes the main key of selling effectiveness. Having appointment in a product’s presentation is oftenly measured by a very short times to deliver. In many cases, delivering the detail of products must be done at a sudden spot and extremely short time where he/she does not imagine before. This needs skill of designing the points of products and how to execute well in order to get the best memorable experience. Entertainment industry especially movie has a very unique on its competition. The development of technology totally delivers big change on how to produce a good film. In recent years, the capability of actor or actress is not the main consideration. We can find many brilliant of them have contributed playing the script however it’s not in line with the moviegers’ responses or the revenue itself. The interest of moviegoers on film sometimes can be seen by various factors. Sound effect, animation technology, pictures editing, original soundtrack, trailers, towards to the name of production house, are numbers of x-factors affecting the moviegoers. This paper intends to describe how the elevator speech-official movie trailer affects the moviegoers. Further this paper also intends to describe how the big production house affects the moviegoers. The analysis is measured by the regression which comes from one hundred respondent involved. The instrument used to collect data is by questionnaire. Most of respondents have the same response that almost all of the indicators have big effects for them. Keywords- Elevator Speech, Brand Awareness, Buying Decision

Abstract

The famous method to determine and solve transportation problem is the transportation model VAM and MODI method, the Northwest-Corner and Stepping-Stone method, and the Assignment method. We see how to develop an initial aolution to the transportation problem with VAM (Vogel’s Approximation Method) and MODI (Modified Distribution). VAM is not quite as simple as the Northwest Corner approach. But it facilitates a very good initial solution, as a matter of fact, one that is often the optimal solution.VAM method trackles the problem of finding a good initial solution by taking into account the cost the costs associated with each route alternative. This is something that Northwest Corner Rules does not do. To apply VAM, we first compute for each row and column the penalty faced if we should ship over the second-best route instead of the least-cost route. After the initial of VAM solution has been found, you should evaluate it with either the Stepping-Stone method or the MODI method. The MODI (Modified Distribution) method allows us to compute improvement indices quickly for each unused square without drawing all of the closed paths. Because of this, it can often provide considerable time savings over the Stepping-Stone method for solving transportation problems. If there is a negative index indicating an imporovemet can be made, then only one Stepping-Stone path must be found. This is used as it was before to determine what changes should be made to obtain the improved solution. In the Northwest-corner rule, the largest possible allocation is made to the cell in the upper left-hand corner of the tableau, followed by allocations to adjacent feasible celss. While the Stepping-stone method is an interactive technique for moving from an initial feasible solution to an optimal feasible solution, and continues will until the optimal solution is reached. The Stepping-stone path method is used to calculate improvement indices for the empty cells. Improved solutions are developed using a Stepping-stone path. The assignment method, which is simple and faster to solve the transportation problem by reducing the numbers (cost) in the table/tableau until a series of zeros is found, or zero opportunity costs, which mean that we will reach the optimal cost allocations. Once we have reached the optimal cost allocations, we the allocate each sources or supply according to some point of demand (destinations). Assignment Method is a specialized form of optimization linear programming model that attempts to assign limited capacity to various demand points in a way that minimizes costs. The special cases of transportation problem included degeneracy (a condition that occurs when the number of occupied squares in any solution is less than the number of rows plus the number of columns minus 1 in a transportation table), unbalanced problems, and multiple optimal solutions. We will see how the VAM and MODI method may be viewed as a special case of solving the multiple optimal solutions of the transportation problem. Keywords : transportation, VAM and MODI
