Abstract

The classification of fruit quality on a computer using image data is very necessary for a faster and easier sorting process. Additionally, this can also be used in making decisions and policies related to business strategies in the industry. The paper presents the quality classification of watermelon that is carried out using the Weighted K - Means Algorithm. The watermelon is classified into three grou ps, namely fresh, medium, and rotten. There are two stages for the classification process, namely training, and examinations. The classification works using the YCbCr color space. In the training phase, the pair of input and the target of data that is proc essed to obtain the weight of k - Means. While for the testing/classification phase, the input data processed is an arbitrary image that has not been classified. The classification shows that the greater the amount of training data is, the more computing tim e is needed for the training and testing process and the higher accuracy, precision, and recall of the classification are obtained. While the greater the number of k values, the longer computational time needed for the training and testing.

Abstract

One of the materials in the English Language course is listening, namely the skill of hearing the pronunciation of English sentences. Learning listening must use native speaker or recording material so that the pronunciation is heard according to the original. If you use the course participants as a sound source, there is a high probability of mistakes in the pronunciation of words or sentences. Then an application is needed to help with course activities as tutors or native speakers in giving correct English pronunciation. In this research, English Pronunciation Application was built using the Greenfoot Application with the object oriented programming concept. This application is to help pronoun learning that can output audio when the object clicked. The development method uses SDLC, application modeling uses UML and testing using Black-box testing. The English pronunciation application is compiled into a .jar file so that it can be run on a computer with a Windows operating system that has JDK installed. The test results show that this English learning application can replace tutors, produce the right audio, and can replace native speakers. This can be seen from the results of the questionnaire showing 82%.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on existing problems in the registration system, scheduling, and announcement of the results of the TOEFL test at the Language Center of the University of Mataram. Where registration, scheduling, and the announcement of TOEFL test results are done manually which requires prospective participants to register directly at the language center of the University of Mataram. This system is expected to simplify the registration process, scheduling, displaying available quotas and checking TOEFL test results. This system was built using a CodeIgniter framework, XAMPP as a web server and MySQL PhpMyadmin as its database server and built with the waterfall model as a system development method. This system is tested by the black box method and user interface testing will be used subjectively testing using the mean opinion score (MOS) by involving several respondents. Based on the test results of the Mean Opinion Score method, it can be concluded that 66.1% of the respondents agreed and 33% of the respondents strongly agreed with the TOEFL Information System Design in UNRAM.

Abstract

Information technology governance is an integrated part of the organization's management that governs leadership, the organization's organizational structure of the processes that govern information technology is used optimally. Human resources are currently not managed properly, which has not met the needs of IT human resources in Central Lombok. To solve this problem, the writer implements IT Governance using the COBIT 5 framework in the Lombok State Polytechnic. This study will provide recommendations for the improvement of IT problems in the Poltekpar Negeri Lombok and can be used as a reference, especially in managing IT human resources and can improve the performance of the Poltekpar Lombok using IT processes EDM02 and APO08. The results of this analysis are the level of ability of IT Governance that reflects the conditions of IT governance in the Poltekpar Negeri Lombok. With improvements to the capability level provided by the COBIT 5 framework, from levels 1 to 5 at the EDM02 capability level, IT processes are at level 3.

Abstract

Fingerprint is one of the unique part of human body that can be used as a personal identity with the help of fingerprint biometric technology to help identify it. The use of fingerprint biometric technology can be a solution for student attendance that helps minimize errors or fraud such as manipulation or falsification in the process of recording attendance. The application of computerized attendance recording can be done by utilizing the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) which assumes that electronic devices can be connected to each other to communicate or exchange data independently through internet networks that using protocols to communicate, including the MQTT (Message Queue Telemetry Transport protocol), which is lightweight message and designed for devices with limited resources. Therefore, an Internet of Things based attendance system was created by utilizing fingerprint sensor technology on the MQTT protocol to assist schools in improving attendance recording performance, as well simplifying the process of recording student attendance at SMK Perhotelan 45 Mataram which still applies conventional attendance recording procedure. The fingerprint enroll process is carried out with a system interface in the form of a web application using the MQTT protocol. Fingerprint feature data is stored on the fingerprint sensor memory module. The total time used to record attendance for 10 respondents is 11,241 seconds with the average time obtained is 1.1241 seconds. It was found that 50% of users agreed to the application of the internet-based fingerprint presence system based on MOS testing.
