Abstract

Vitiligo is a skin disorder caused by a lack of melanin pigment in the skin, which causes white patches on certain parts of the skin because this melanin pigment is not able to produce the skin color. Previously, one of the treatments for vitiligo was using a UVB lamp with a 311 nm wavelength that could not yet be adjusted to dim the lights as safety when conducting therapy. Therefore, the research aims to design a simulation of the vitiligo therapy device equipped with a timer LED lamp, a safety of lighting, and the data storage. The data are stored in the SD Card to make it easier for patients to control changes before and after therapy. The simulation of this therapeutic apparatus is controlled using the Arduino Uno system and regulates lightning protection using a PWM circuit and ultrasonic sensors. The highest error obtained is 2.4%. at 5 cm. The overall device system, namely timer, buzzer, hour meter, and data storage has been working well and the error value is still within tolerance which is below 5%. Thus, it is hoped that this vitiligo therapy simulation device is able to operate as a real therapeutic device

Abstract

Denial of service (DoS) attack continues to pose a huge risk to online businesses. The attack has moved from attack at the network level – layer 3 and layer 4 to the layer 7 of the OSI model. This layer 7 attack or application layer attack is not easily detectable by firewalls and most intrusion Detection systems and other security tools but have the capability of bringing down a well-equipped web server. The wide availability and easy accessibility of the attack tools makes this type of security risk very easy to execute, very prolific and difficult to completely mitigate. There have been an increasing number of such attacks against the web server infrastructures of many organisations being recorded. The aim of this research is to look at some layer 7 application DDoS attack tools and test open source tools that offer some form of defense against these attacks. The research deployed open source load balancing software, HAProxy as a first line of defense against Denial of Service attack. The three components of the popular free open source data analysis tool, Elastic stack framework- Logstash, Elasticsearch and Kibana were used to collect logs from the web server, filter and query the logs and then display results in dashboards and graphs to help in the identification of an attack by analysing the visually displayed log data. Rules are also setup to alert the business of anomalies detected based on pre-determined benchmarks.

Abstract

The lamp is an artificial source of light that is produced by channelling electric current through the filament which then heats up and produces light. Eye health experts believe that the ideal brightness of a lamp depends on ambient light or ambient light. The rule must ensure that the brightness of the lights must be equivalent to the light around. That way the light from the lights and surroundings will blend and not make the eyes have to work harder. To overcome this problem a control system can be created by implementing the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique that can control the brightness of the lights manually using a visual net application. Utilization of a microcontroller as a control center in controlling the brightness level of the lamp using the type of microcontroller avr16 by displaying the PWM value on the form design on the visual net. Thus setting the level of light brightness to be ideal in the conditions we want.

Abstract

This paper discusses about design and development of gimbal smartphone, which are made to be simple and less money consuming by utilizing microcontroller and MPU 6050 sensor. Recently, the development of videography and image processing is inseparable from the rapid advance in smartphone technology. One of the most popular features is camera. Hand movements and shocks cause fewer maximum results. To improve the quality of camera captures and video, it is necessary to have a stabilizer for camera position.  Thus, it is expected that the outcomes of this paper are able to give contribution for cheap gimbal smartphone. Design and implementation of gimbal uses acrylic as the material, with 5 mm of thickness. This MPU 6050 sensor is optimized to detect sway in axis X, Y, and Z or roll, pitch, and yaw. Gyroscope and accelerometer provide input to the microcontroller, which will process for output on 3 servomotors that function to maintain the camera’s position at a specified set point. The results show that MPU 6050 sensor can response angle reading error of 1.34° of roll, 0.25° of pitch, and 0.78° of yaw. Error in maximum servomotor movement is 1.5°. Thus, it can be concluded that gimbal can work optimally with less money consuming as well as low error. It is expected that the next research will add other suitable and accurate control, that is, PID or fuzzy.

Abstract

English is an international language and important to learn. For someone learning English sometimes is a difficulty, especially in pronunciation. Therefore, SMART-In is a prototype of Android App that uses Speech Recognition technology by utilizing services from the Cloud Speech API (Application Programming Interface). SMART-In English can be used as an alternative to English learning, especially in the pronunciation of a word. Using speech recognition can display the score of the pronunciation spoken by the user, recorded, show a level the pronunciation of the word and display the correct pronunciation.

Abstract

Abstract— This study uses 2 variations of the value of the DC 12V LED lamp power that is 12W and 15W with 3 different brands of lamp variations. Measurement of input voltage and current is carried out using a Krisbow KW06-490 DC clampmeter that has been calibrated as a standard measuring instrument and a Krisbow KW06-491 DC clampmeter that has not been calibrated as a test gauge 1 and a Multimeter Viper DT830B that has not been calibrated as a test gauge 2. Data the current and input voltage between each lamp and different lamp brands are used to calculate the value of the test lamp power and then compare it.The big conclusion from this study was found that the error value between the value of the test power or the use of DC 12V LED lamps with 12W written power on R, S, and T brand lamps was ± 51.67%, ± 70.75%, ± 61.33 %. In 15W lamps the brands R, S, and T were ± 7.20%, ± 0.53%, ± 8.27%.

Abstract

In daily life we have encountered many 7-segment uses. 7-segment commonly used to display public information or can also display the number of calculations (counters). Control Decoder as a 7-segment driver has also been widely marketed, which is commonly found are IC CMOS and TTL as the decoder controller. Various methods are used to counter the final goal, which is to find out the number of objects. In this research, researchers tried to do a 4-digit count-up by using the CD4510B CMOS IC as a BCD Count-Up and CD4511B as a 5-inch BCD to 7-segment decoder SM415001L and from the results of this research, the use of CD4510B ICs as BCD Up / Down Counter can generate binary numbers according to the results of the counter that is on pins Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4. IC CMOS CD4511B which according to the datasheet is intended for 7-segment common cathode, can also be used for 7-segment common anode drivers by adding logic inverting circuits using transistors BC547 and CD4511B CMOS IC combined with a logic inverting circuit, the 7-segment 5 Inch SM415001L can display Count-Up numbers from 0000 to 9999
