Jurnal SOSCIED diterbitkan pertama kali pada tahun 2016 dalam bentuk hardopy/cetak yang tersimpan di Perpustakaan Politeknik Saint Paul Sorong. Namun sejak tahun 2018 Jurnal SOSCIED menerbitkan jurnal dalam bentuk cetak/hardcopy dan juga dipublikasikan secara online dengan frekuensi penerbitan jurnal 2 kali dalam setahun. Jurnal SOSCIED terbit 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu pada bulan Juli dan November.

Abstract

Scientific work is in the form of practicum activities that take place in a laboratory equipped with supporting tools and materials. Practical activities in the laboratory in the learning process can increase students' knowledge to solve problems using the theory that has been given systematically. The purpose of this study was to analyze the completeness of the chemistry laboratory at SMA Negeri 3 Sorong City. Laboratory analysis based on standard facilities and Permendiknas RI No. 24 of 2007. The method used in this research is the descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The school subjects used in this study were SMA Negeri 3 Sorong. The results of the analysis of the completeness of the chemical laboratory at SMA Negeri 3 Sorong City showed that 87.5% of the furniture used for practicum was available in the laboratory, while the suitability of the equipment used was 51.42%. For consumables stored in the laboratory as a whole by existing standards (100%), and as much as 80% of other available equipment, so the analysis results show that the chemical laboratory equipment owned by SMA Negeri 3 Sorong is by the standard of facilities. and laboratory infrastructure in this case Permendiknas RI No. 24 of 2007.

Abstract

Stress is an unavoidable reality of everyday life. The stress experienced by students at a mild level actually makes students excited to learn, but at a later stage stress can cause complaints from students such as often feeling sleepy at school because every day they have to go home at night and after that they have to do the assignments of the teachers. more and more day by day. This can consume all of the student's workforce, causing fatigue and tiredness. When this happens, the overload can cause stress, in the form of physical and mental fatigue, decreased endurance, and emotional instability. From the results of research conducted by the author at SMA 12 Negeri Ambon, it shows that excessive stress experienced by some students has a negative impact on students themselves, with the inability to carry out school activities and fear of failure to achieve achievement. Other manifestations of stress among students include alcohol use, drug abuse, suicide and premature pregnancy. Understanding this problem, the role of PAK teachers is very much needed in shaping the personality of the students themselves, for that PAK teachers play an important role in the mentoring process for every student who has problems, so that students can be guided to manage their stress so as not to have a negative impact on the student or the people around him.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred throughout the world, especially Indonesia, is a situation that requires everyone to work, study and carry out activities from home. In the world of education, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major influence on learning activities from elementary to high (college) levels, where in the past learning could be done directly but currently requires all teachers, students and students to study online (on a network). Lecturers are required not only in mastering technology as well, but the delivery of material from lecturers also certainly has an important influence on students' understanding of the material. Lecturers must be able to make students understand what is conveyed in online learning. This research was carried out by the Civil Engineering study program at the Catholic Polytechnic of Saint Paul Sorong in the applied physics course. Research data was taken through a questionnaire distributed online to semester 1 students of the 2020/2021 academic year who had taken an online Applied Physics course with a total of 41 students as respondents. This research is descriptive quantitative. This study uses an instrument that is a questionnaire. The contents of the questionnaire relate to how much students are able to understand applied physics courses and student responses during online learning. The questionnaire used has been tested for validity and reliability using the SPSS version 23 application. Based on the research data, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' understanding of civil engineering in applied physics courses during online learning is 43% at most stating that online learning has been going well.

Abstract

The cost of an amount of expenses and charges be permitted, either directly or indirectly to produce goods or services in the state and the place where the goods it has can be sold or used. calculation of the cost must be done properly and rationally as it affects the profit / loss of the company. If the cost is too high, the company will be difficult to compete, otherwise the cost is too low, the company then the company will be difficult to lose. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the calculation of the cost repair the ship docking at PT.Klasaman Indah Raya. This research uses case study method steps are carried out is to collect materials and data related, subject matter through the documentation, interviews and literature. Results of the study showed that the company melekukan calculation of the cost at the end of the year by collecting fees. But the company did not include overhead costs (BOP) in the calculation of the basic price, the research because it will be calculated the cost by incorporating smua costs, including overhead costs for each ship cost price calculation is done by order cost method. From the analysis of the calculations in this research note the cost for the two ships, namely the cost of KMP-NWRP.235.690.088 and the cost of KM-EVER RP.198.197.987

Methods of Activity Based Costing System is a method to apply the concept of cost accounting to determine the price more accurately. This paper aims to determine differences in calculating the cost of a hotel room using simple method and using Activity Based Costing System. Guardian Family Hotel calculate the cost of the hotel rooms using simple method. Therefore, the author calculated the cost of the room by using Activity Based Costing System that gives a more accurate price

Abstract

This study aims to find and explain efforts to embattle crime. The research was conducted with qualitative methods. Data obtained through interview and documentation techniques were collected for further condensation and conclusion. The results of the study inform that efforts to embattle crime are carried out in two ways, namely the way of evil and the way of goodness. The way of evil is the punishment that equals or burdens the perpetrators of crimes so that they are not sufficient in moral value, such as the death penalty for narcotics crimes, murder, and corruption. The second is the path of goodness. Evil must always be rewarded with good, as the moral imperative of Thomas Aquinas, "Bonum est faciendum et prosequendum, et malum vitandum". Some of the tools that are considered well in embattle crime, such as: sea execution, triviality, ethical destruction, and readjustment
