Abstract

Every parent certainly wants the best for their children. Childhood is the period where children experience growth and development in many aspects; physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally. However, it seems that nowadays many parents are not capable to fully attend their children’s needs because of job demands. That is why many start to entrust their children’s first formal education to preschool. Preschool can stimulate the growth and development of the children by letting them learn and play. The learning process can accelerate well if the preschool has qualified teachers, good program, and proper physical environment. The children will feel uncomfortable to learn and play in dark, humid, and overcrowded place. Therefore, classrooms and other facility rooms need to be designed as comfortable as possible to support children’s need and growth in the learning process. Selection of colors, shapes, furniture and room layout should be done properly in accordance with children’s ergonomics, and should pay attention to the safety for its users.Interior architecture design Town for Kids Preschool with Playful Kid’s Town as a theme is to provide a comfortable preschool for children to maximize learning process through visual, audio and kinesthetic. Theme is applicable in selection of primary colors to enhance the spirit of children’s activities, simple geometric shapes according to the level of children’s learning abilities and playful design as children’s learning media.

Abstract

Fashion becomes more important nowadays so that most women willing to spend their money in order to maintain their appearance. For that reason, most women like shopping especially fashion products. Women’s needs and desires to shop fashion products make a good opportunity to open a fashion business. Nowadays, many Indonesian people interested in batik clothing since the enactment of the 2nd of October as a national batik day, however many batik clothing models are outdated that makes teenagers and young adults not interested. Therefore modern batik clothing is the right choice for modern teenage girls and young adults because more varieties in patterns, colors, and models. La Signature De Felicia offers exclusive modern batik clothing ready-to-wear suitable for women. Based on modern batik products which are containing the traditional and modern, thus become the interior concept for La Signature De Felicia. The interior concept is ‘Transition’ which in interior means a blend of traditional and modern that uses traditional element umpak (base of a column in traditional Javanese house) which has been simplified so it looks more modern. Minimum of ornamentations and decorations keep the focus on the simplicity of the design. The colors are used the neutrals and warm tones to evoke clean look and as neutrals background colors for the products. This interior design is created to provide comfort for both customers and employees.

Abstract

The demand of comfortability in a house has become an important factor. Because of that, any aspect that relates with it has to be well-designed. So, the people that live it in that house feel maycomfortable and that feeling has to be illustrated in the design. The priority for designing the showroom and booth is the comfort matter. Because of that, the idea for the design concept of this project is ‘House in a House’. In another words, it could be defined that the house ambience is illustrated in the showroom as well as in the exhibition booth. Inside the showroom, objects sold are the home furnishing products, including the furniture furnishing products. The most important thing of the design concept is a simple design. Therefore, it will give a relieved and roomy ambience, with black and white colour, and with the consideration of ergonomic, circulation arrangement, and room organizization. The showroom and the exhibition booth that were designed, were attractive and might invite people to buy the products, and the customer understand about the products sold.

Abstract

In today’s world, particularly in Indonesia, there are increasing in the development and the necessity of interior design’s business. It is mainly affected by changes in societies’ lifestyles and the expansion of the property markets along with investors began to extend to outside Java. Numerous problems encountered by the societies associated with the function and quality of interior space environments.The author aims to fulfill societies’ requirements through interior design consultant; named MYC. MYC assists and provides solutions to clients, through the results of consultation and design in accordance with the clients’ specifications, especially in the area of Makassar and Manado. Client satisfaction is the main goal of MYC, thus, MYC improves the quality of life through design is a solution to the problems faced.EbenHaezar’s Kindergarten School in Manado is one of MYC’s design implementation. The kindergarten has a concept of Fun, Balancing and Intelligence, where this concept offers a balance between learning and play for children that are identical to playing and learning. Fun concept is supported by the use of shape and color in every room that aims to brighten the atmosphere of the school considering the building is dominantly occupy with children around two to six years old. In addition, warm and safe concepts are emphasized by applying material that is warm natural, such as on the floor using wood vinyl flooring as to create coziness to the children to feel like their own house.
