Abstract

The Lagrangian and Hamiltonian for series RLC circuit has been formulated. We use the analogical concept of classical mechanics with electrical quantity. The analogy is as follow mass, position, spring constant, velocity, and damping constant corresponding with inductance, charge, the reciprocal of capacitance, electric current, and resistance respectively. We find the Lagrangian for the LC, RL, RC, and RLC circuit by using the analogy and find the kineticand potential energy. First, we formulate the Lagrangian of the system. Second, we construct the Hamiltonian of the system by using the Legendre transformation of the Lagrangian. The results indicate that the Hamiltonian is the total energy of the system which means the equation of constraints is time independent. In addition, the Hamiltonian of overdamping and critical damping oscillation is distinguished by a certain factor.

Abstract

Artificial Neural Networks are known to provide a good model forclassification. The goal of this research is to classify books in Bahasa (Bahasa Indonesia) using its cover. The data is in the form of scanned images, each with the size of 300 cm height, 130 cm width, and 96 dpi image resolution the research conducted features extraction using image processing method, MSER (Maximally Stable Externally Regions) to identify the area of book title, and Tesseract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to detect the title. Next, features extracted from MSER and OCR are converted into a numerical matrix as the input to the Backpropagation Artificial Neural Network. The accuracy obtained using one hidden layer and 15 neurons is 63.31%. Meanwhile, the evaluation using 2 hidden layers with a combination of 15 and 35 neurons resulted in accuracy of 79.89%. The ability of the model to classify the book was affected by the image quality, variation, and number of training data.

Abstract

Storage systems are built of fallible components but have to provide high degrees of reliability. Besides mirroring and triplicating data, redundant storage of information using erasure-correcting codes is the only possibility to have data survive device failure. We provide here exact formula for the data-loss probability of a disk array composed of several RAID Level 6 stripes. This two-failure tolerant is not only used in practice but can also provide a reference point for the assessment of other data organizations.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education sector caused schools and universities are closed. Then, teaching and learning are delivered by an online method through information and communication technology. Some issues have emerged, especially on delivering materials and the minimum requirements of online learning. The study aims to review learning methodologies and the role of information and communication technology for future learning. Heutagogy and Computational Thinking have been selected as the learning methodology for approaching digital native generation. It is no doubt that the significant role in undertaking online education is information and communication technology. Therefore, we suggested some tools to enhance learning systems, such as gamification learning, virtual labs, and social media. We also discussed new learning media using information and communication technology in education. The study's contribution is to describe technology's role in the future learning system to be used by decision-makers in implementing e-learning better.

Abstract

The concept of AI companionship is gaining popularity in recent times. Ourproject is an attempt to create a robotic companion that can act just like apet. We created a Pet Robot that can perform various functions like recognisepeople, recognise objects, recognise emotions, play games, follow a personaround, listen to voice commands, dance and so on. This paper focuses on thehardware aspect of the robot and the working of the Core program (Kernel). Itfurther discusses the algorithm that was implemented in this architecture andcompares the final version with other variations. Our work was able to createa fully functioning AI pet robot by using just cheap commercially availabledevelopment boards, motors and a Desktop PC.

Abstract

Many people like traveling. But, often they are difficult to find a tourism site that they like much. Too many information about tourism is the problem. To overcome this problem, we need to filter the information. Recommender System could filter the information. By considering the advantages, the system used item-based collaborative filtering approach to give recommendation. Some tourism site around Yogyakarta province were used in this research. The system is able to give recommendation to users. The accuracy of the rating prediction is 0,6293 and the average time consumption is 1693,33 millisecond.

Abstract

Pagar Alam Coffee is a Besemah coffee originating from the Smallholder Plantation in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The majority of Pagar Alam coffee farming is a hereditary business. Coffee farmers' income is very dependent on coffee production, production costs, and coffee prices. This study aims to obtain a probability model of Pagar Alam coffee farmers income based on the factors that influence it. The independent variables studied were the number of dependents, economic conditions, number of trees, age of trees, frequency of fertilizer used, frequency of pesticide used, production at harvest time, production outside harvest time, number of women workers outside the family, minimum price of coffee, maximum price of coffee, farmers' gross income, and land productivity. Modeling used binary logistic regression method on 179 respondents. There were three methods used, i.e. enter method, forward and backward methods. The model using enter method results the greatest prediction accuracy which is 87.7%. The factors that have a significant influence on the net income of Pagar Alam coffee farmers are gross income, land productivity, and the number of women workers from outside the family. The most influential variable is gross income.

Abstract

This study reports on the use of smartphone camera and power point application to analyze the kinematic motion experiment. This method is intended to make a better understanding of students concept using the tools that are commonly owned by students. The experiments performed in this study were one-dimensional (1-D) represented by falling motion and two-dimensional (2-D) using parabolic motion. In evaluating the experimental results, the obtained data were compared to the theoretical values that were calculated using analytical approach. The use of this method shows great measurement results in showing dependency of falling motion to gravitational acceleration and proofing the constant velocity at projectile motion on its horizontal plane in which it is comparable to the theoretical value. The video analyzation method also can be used as an alternative solution to the established software, even better when the higher resolution camera and frame rate was used. Noting that the tools used in the experiment were common tools around, thus, this can be used as a replacement for the advance tools.
