Background: The behavior of the nurses in caring is form of emotional support of nurses in providing nursing care is moral commitment to protect, promote human dignity as the core of nursing that differentiates it from other professions.Purpose of the research: to know the overview of nurses caring behavior toward patients in patient treatment ward in Klungkung regency.Method: the design of the study wasdescriptive method purposive sampling techinique and proportionale stratified random sampling. The populationof the study was 308 people and the sample was 110 people. The data collection tool was questionnaire CBA (Caring Behaviour Assesment)which has been modified. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and processed using SPSS 20.0 for windows.Result: The nurse caring behavior to patients in the ward showed 43,6%patients received good treatment, 52,7% patients received sufficient treatment and 3,7% patients received less treatment.Conclusion: Nurse that provided nursing care to patients should have caring behaviour in helping patients to meet their needs biologically, psychologically, sociologically and spritually Keywords: behavior, caring, inpatient, nurse

Background. In Standard Operating Procedure, the use of hood mask on COPD patients in nebulizer therapy is used when necessary, which means that the medical staff able to wear a mask or not, it is because of lack of firmness in the Standard Operating Procedures created.Aim. To determine the relationship of the use of hoods during therapy nebulizer mask to saturation of peripheral oxygen in COPD patients in the ER Agency Tabanan General Hospital. Method. This research used non-probability sampling design, the sampling technique used in this study was consecutive sampling technique.Results. The respondents who wore hood mask on during nebulizer therapy as many as 84 respondents (98.8 percent), respondents who woremask on for 10-15 minutes by 85 respondents (100 percent), respondents who installed the rubber on mask during nebulizer therapy was 81 respondents (95.3 percent), the majority of respondents whom masks do did not come loose during nebulizer therapy as many as 76 respondents (89.4 percent). The saturation of oxygen peripheral therapy on COPD patients with nebulizer has a normal outcome as many as 82 respondents (96.5 percent).Conclusion. There was a significant relations between the use of hood mask during nebulizer therapy with the saturation of oxygen peripheral on COPD patients with the results of Pearson’s Chi-square test in Asymp.Sig value. (2-sided) of 0.00 (p = 0:00), because the value of Asymp.Sig. (2 -sided) 0:00 <0:05 (Alpha 5%).Suggestion. In a nebulizer therapy on COPD patients, medical staff should wear a hood mask during the therapy and follow-up the result of this study for the changes of standard operating procedures.Keywords:COPD, Hood Mask, Oxygen Peripheral Saturation, Nebulizer

Background: Five Moments for Hand Hygiene is an important moment to wash hands 5 on health care providers to optimize hand hygiene by washing hands. Coaching methods can be used to improve the quality of nursing resources that will ultimately improve the quality of nursing care provided to patients through obedience perform appropriate hand washing moments principles 5 6 steps. The result of the application of the five moment in the inpatient unit District General Hospital Klungkung still below the average of the minimum service standards (SPM) is as much as> 80%. While the percentage of data compliance officer in performing hand hygiene is the nurse as much as 63.3%.Objective: the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nursing coaching to compliance nurses perform appropriate hand washing moments principles 5 6 steps in the inpatient unit District General Hospital KlungkungMethods: This study uses an experimental approach to design pre One group pre test-posttest design. The sampling technique used is Non-Probability Sampling with consecutive sampling technique. Number samples are 63 respondents, gathering data using questionnaires.Results demonstrate compliance nurses perform appropriate hand washing moments principles 5 6 steps before nursing coaching mostly 31 people (49.2%) in the category enough. Compliance nurses do wash their hands according to the principles 5 6 moments after the steps carried out the majority of nursing coaching 58 people (92.1%) in both categories Statistical test results obtained Wilcoxon signed rank test P = 0.000 <α 0.05 indicates no influence on the nursing coaching compliance nurses perform appropriate hand washing moments principles 5 6 steps in the inpatient unit District General Hospital Klungkung.Conclusion: No effect on adherence nurse nursing coaching perform appropriate hand washing moments principles 5 6 steps in the inpatient unit District General Hospital Klungkung. Keywords: Coaching Nursing, Compliance, Hand Wash

Background: Cataract surgery is a surgery for cataract patients. This surgery has some complications, such as the occurrence of dry eyes syndrome. There are two techniques of cataract surgery; they are Phacoemulsification and SISC with different type of incision. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the types of cataract incision with the incidence of dry eyes syndrome. Methods: This study used descriptive correlation design with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with consecutive sampling technique. The total sample used in this study were 78 respondents, in which 51 respondents had undergone Phacoemulsification incision and 27 respondents had undergone SICS incision. The data collection tool used was the OSDI questionnaires. Results: 10 respondents who had the SISC and 5 respondents who had the Phacoemulsification experienced dry eyes syndrome. The result of Chi Square test showed that p-value was 0.009; which means there was a significant relationship between the types of cataract incision with the incidence of dry eyes syndrome. Conclusion: The types of cataract incision had a significant relationship to the occurrence of dry eyes syndrome. Therefore, nurses are expected to be able to provide care and give CIE (communication, information, and education) to reduce the complications. Keywords: cataract, dry eyes syndrome, type of incision

Kepuasan pasien adalah perasaan puas atas jasa yang telah diterima pasien yang sesuai dengan harapan. Pelayanan terbanyak yang diperoleh pasienialah pelayanan perawat. Kepuasan pasien merupakan salah satu hal yang sangat penting dalam meninjau mutu pelayanan suatu rumah sakit.RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar merupakan rumah sakit tipe B yang menampung pelayanan rujukan dari rumah sakit di daerah Bali Timur yaitu (Bangli, Klungkung, dan Karangasem). Rekapitulasi registrasi pasien masukRSUD Sanjiwani pada tahun 2012 sebanyak 14.126 pasien, namun pada tahun 2013 mengalami penurunan sebanyak 2624 pasien menjadi 11.502 pasien.Mengetahui tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat inap kelas II terhadap pelayanan keperawatan di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar.Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 86 orang di RuangNakuladanSahadewakelas II. Pengumpulan data dilakukandaritanggal 11 Maret-30 April 2015 dan diambilmenggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan diolah secara univariat deskriptif.Penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa 55 responden (64%) pasien memiliki kepuasan yang sangat puas, 31 responden (36%) pasien memiliki kepuasan yang puas, tidak puas dan sangat tidak puas 0 responden (0%).Secara umum tingkat kepuasan pasien rawat inap kelas II terhadap pelayanan keperawatan dalam kategori sangat puas. Kata Kunci : Kepuasan, Pelayanan, Keperawatan

Introduction: Nowadays, pads almost become a staple for women. Evidently, from about 118 million women in Indonesia, 67 million are women of childbearing (still menstruation and the pads), then estimated at no less than 1.4 billion pads / per month, which is used by women in Indonesia (Anonymous, 2015). Developing information relating to dangerous bandage issued olek YLKI has been denied by the minister of health stating that the pads are used still within safe levels it is contrary to the regulations made by the Ministry of Health, the Minister Regulation No. 472 of 1996 regarding security and supervision of hazardous materials, one of which is chlorine. This study aims to determine the Perceptions and Behavior of Young Women of dressings used in everyday life.Methodology: The method of research is descriptive with cross sectional approach, with a sample size is 490 female students from all over Bali STIKES taken by accidental sampling in accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria.Results: The majority of girls are 256 people (52.2%) had a negative perception of the pads that are used in everyday life. The majority of girls are 290 people (59.2%) had a bad behavior on pads that are used in everyday life.Discussion: Most young women have negative perceptions about the pads that are used in everyday life. Dukungan keluarga merupakan faktor-faktor yang penting dalam kepatuhan minum obat dan perawatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien skizofrenia. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain descriptif corelation dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Cara pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling yaitu dengan tehnik consecutive sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 286 responden keluarga yang anggota keluarganya mengalami skizofrenia yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dukungan keluarga dan kepatuhan. Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Spearman Rank (rho) dengan level signifikan 0,05 didapatkan hasil p value 0,008 < 0,01 yang berarti ada hubungan antara hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan tingkat kepatuhan minum obat pasien skizofrenia..  Kata Kunci: dukungan keluarga, obat, skizofrenia.

Introduction: Prevention of cervical cancer can be done by screening and vaccination programs. The purpose of this study to identify the specific characteristics of women of reproductive age (WUS) that do early detection methods Visual Inspection Acetic Acid (VIA) by age group, education level, occupation, level of knowledge, of marriageable age, economic level, parity, and contraceptive use on time of inspection and examination results IVA IVA. Methodology: The methodology used descriptive cross sectional with the entire population of WUS inspecting IVA in the village of Renon in May 2016. The sample in this study is total sampling. Results: The age test in the village of Renon IVA is aged 25-56 years. Some 45.5% of respondents educated past high school. Most respondents had good knowledge. The age of first married at age> 20 years is 77.8%. Monthly family income of 27 respondents 51.9%. From the results of implementation effectiveness of the research, 37.9% of respondents are housewives and 27.3% are self-employed. WUS more use of the IUD, with duration of use of no more than 5 years. The majority of respondents had 1 to 2 children. Discussion: This study shows that are coming are of reproductive age with the most educated high school, most of the knowledge of good, most aged married at the age of> 20 years. Income and employment do not affect the visit IVA. WUS who use non-hormonal birth control are more to come. The more often a woman gave birth to the higher risk for cervical cancer. Background: Postpartumintrauterine device (IUD) is a contraceptive service provided directly to the patients after they give birth. Postpartum IUD is recommended because in this period the cervix remains open and soft, thus facilitate the IUD insertion. Women’s motivation is very important to bring success to the IUD postpartum program Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the motivation of postpartum mothers using IUD in the postpartum ward in Wangaya Hospital, 2016.Methods: This study was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. The sampling technique used non probability sampling (census), in which the total population was used as the sample. There were 30 respondents who have fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria involved in this study. The date were collected by using a questionnaire. Result: The result showed that the motivation of postpartum mothers using IUD in wangaya hospital in the postpartum ward was high (100%). Conclusion: All respondents in the postpartum ward, Wangaya Hospital Denpasar had a good understanding on the benefit of using the postpartum IUD, thus influence the high use of postpartum IUD.  Keywords: Motivation of mothers, Postpartum IUD

Background: Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media is one of the health problems that can lead to ear hearing loss to be deaf, even life-threatening. Extension of Omsk can influence the understanding or the person's cognitive abilities, curiosity and want to learn about how to prevent complications Omsk. Problems are often encountered in is ignorance of parents on the prevention of complications and recurrence of OMSK Clinic Hospital in KlungkungObjective: the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education using the media leaflet to the knowledge of parents about Omsk Methods: This study uses an experimental approach to design pre One group pre test-posttest design. The sampling technique used is Non-Probability Sampling with saturated sampling technique. The population in this study were all parents who drove their children suffering from Omsk. Total sample of 60 respondents, gathering data using questionnaires.Results: parental knowledge about Omsk before being given health education most of which 37 (61.7%) less, parental knowledge about Omsk after being given health education most of which 35 (58.3%) good, Wilcoxon statistical test results signed rank test obtained P = 0.001 0,05 showed no effect of health education using the media leaflet to the knowledge of parents about OMSKConclusion: prior knowledge of health education mostly less, after health education was mostly good analysis showed no effect of health education using leaflets media against parental knowledge about OMSK.
