Abstract

Wet bread  is  one  of  the most  popular  foods  in Indonesia  it has  limitation storage time Ihal is about 2 and 3 days in a room temperature.  The usage of preservative  substance  to make the food durable  without complay food grade standar  will be dangerous  for human  health.  Sintetics  preservative  made of chemical malerial  has negative effect for health. So. another alternative  musl be found. Bawang tiwai tuberexlract  is one of the best alternatives  10 substitute potassium/sodium   propionate.  because it contains  antimicroba.  The purpose of this research is to getlhe  best extraxt dosage of bawang tiwai tuber toward the duration of wet bread storage.  There are two ways in researching  bawang tiwai tuber extract. they are using etanol sovent and water 10d'C were used in dosage 0.25 gram. 0.5 gram. 1 gram,  1.5 gram, 2 gram. Hey were compared with  slntelics   preservative    potassium/sodium    propionate   with  dosage   2 gram/kg  better of wet bread.  The result of the research  shows Ihat the best dosage is bawang tiwai tuber extract in 2 gram/kg  wei bread batter. because it can hold out about 14 days in a room temperature.

Abstract

The Essential Oil Distillation Of Local Gingers ( Emprit Ginger, Red Ginger And Elephant Ginger) From East Borneo Make In Two Condition; I.E Freh And Dry Condition Was Carry Out. The Essential Oil Produce From Fresh Ginger Having Much Amount Of Chemical Compound Than The Dry Condition. In Tile  (Resh Condition. Elephantginger Have 81 Kindof Compounds.Red Ginger Have 59kind Of Compounds, Emprit Ginger Have 56 Kind Of Compounds, Mean While In Dry Condition The Amount Of Gingercompound Is Decrease. The Elephant Ginger Became 76 Kind Of Compounds, Red Ginger 46 Kind Of Compounds, Emprit Ginger 40 Kind Of Compounds. The Ginger 'Compoundcan Use As Perfume Flavor, Insecticide. Analytical Reagent, Indicator, Food Flavor. Coloring Matters, Cosmetic, Anti Cancer' Material And Anti Oxidant. Abstract

Preserving  rubber  wood (Hevea brasiliensis)  can avoid quality decrease  that caused  by termite and fungi. For preserving  rubber  wood  we can use "Blue Vitriol (Terusi)" with sulphur copper as active material.  This research used 3% and 5%  concentration  of Blue Vitriol, while for preserving  we use a simple and pressure   method.    The  simple   method   contained   dyeing,   varnish,   and submersion  of rubber wood in preserving.  It pressure.method  used empty cell and complete  cell method,  with 3 time variable of pressure,  they were 0.5, 1, and 2 hours.The result of this research, concluded that the most effective simple method of preserving  to avoid the attack of fungi and termite was  submersion  for 1 hour and  5%  concentrate  of preservative   material.  While  when  using  pressure method   the  effective   way  was using  0.5  hour  and  3  % concentrate   of preservative  material.

Abstract

This research  is aimed to use extracted  substances  from sawdust  of ulin for meubet coating.  Extraction and fractionation  used the solvent of methanol,  n hexan, diethyl ether, ethyl ace tat and hot water with the concentration  of 1 %, 2 %, 4 % and      % respectively.   The meubel  Is made  of rubber  wood.  By application  of the meubel  will increase.  The highesl  yield of fractination  was achieved by 51,05 % of ethyl acetate and it will inhibit the growth of fungi about 89,09 %. The result of phytochemical   test showed  thai the solvent  of dlethyl ether  and  ethyl  acetate  can  isolate  the  most  of  bioactive  compound   like alkanoid, saponin, tripenoid and flavonoid.  These bioactive compound   gives cotor  appearence   and  durability   to  the  coaling  product.   The  results  also showed  that  the bigger  concentration   resulted  in  the bigger  retention  and pene/ratlon   of the extract.  In case  of extraction  with hot water and  2 % of concentrate gave maximum retention and penetration  of 4 %.

Abstract

The use of coal sources of energy has produce fly ashes, which has became a big source of pollution. Fly ash is a fine glass like powder recovered from gases created by coal fired electrical  power  generation.   One of the alternatives  to solve  this problem  is by using  this material  to produce  paving  block.  This research  was conducted  to find possible  use of fly ash to replace  sand  in paving block. In this research the effect of replacing zero to 40 % sand with fly ash is evaluated.  It is found out that best result could be obtained by replacing sand  by  10 % fly ash  which  meet  the  requirement   according   to National Standard   of  Indonesia   SNI  03-0691-1996    Paving   Block.   The  results   of compression   strength  and  surface  area  indicate  that  the  requirement   for parking  area  application  (class  B).  On the  other  hand  the result  of  water absorption  analysis  Indicate  the requirements   of standard  for garden  place where garden plants. tools, etc are sold and other specification  with the same level (class C).

Abstract

Palin that can be easyly culminate in Indonesia shore fishery has hlgh nutritive value and it's also economical  fish.  The economical  value can be increased through  manufacturing   patin  product.  In this research  patin  product  is fishnugget  and fish margarine,  this two product  are depending  each other, and their waste can be use as liquid fertilizer. This two product have higher nutritive value than the others similar product. Analyze result from product development of patin product is have a high economical  value.
