Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of modification camshaft with addition needle roller bearing on the left and right side. After that compare the engine performance with the standard camshaft on the motorbike Suzuki Satria F150. The method used is an experiment. The test is carried out on the dyno test by paying attention to the value of engine speed, engine power, and the highest torque produced without limiting the gas valve opening. The results showed that after modification with the addition of a needle roller bearing the highest engine power was 18.70 HP and 12.23 N.m of torque at an engine speed of 10,888 RPM. With the addition of a needle roller bearing to the camshaft, the engine power was increased by 2.08 HP and the torque value was increased to 2 N.m Keywords: camshaft, needle roller bearing, engine performance

Abstract

Abstract: work-based learning is work-based learning that is being developed in various vocational high schools to improve the practical skills that are owned by learners. Increasing practical skills can be maximally able to make it easier for learners to compete for work when passing the study of PDTM. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the learning outcomes using the work-based learning method with the CIPP method. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach, with the type of poll instruments and performed on the PDTM subjects in SMK Turen. The subjects were reached by a tpm class of 10. 180 students and conducted research into 60 learners as sample trials and 120 learners as research samples. The data analysis techniques use descriptive and grouped the percentages of likert scales. Improved practical skills evaluated using cipp methods namely context, input, process, and product. The results showed that the study of pdtm in smk turen, which uses work-based learning method, can improve the practical skills of students well even though there are still some indicators that have to be improved. The expectation is in order to improve the skills of practical skills to maximum students. Keyword: work based learning, practical skills

Abstract

Abstract: The pump is a liquid suction device where its function is to drain a liquid from an area of small pressure to an area of large pressure. Submersible pump (submersible pump) is a type of pump where the work system is placed in full water, the pump is damaged if the water is not in full condition. This type of pump must have a drinking water level so that the pump can operate properly, and the life of the pump can last a long time. The submersible pump is one type of centrifugal pump. Abstract

Abstract: Welding is welding that utilizes flame heat in electric arcs to melt electrodes and workpieces. SMAW welding is widely used because of its relatively easy to use, cost-friendly and maximum quality results. In conducting welding has several factors that will affect the quality of the welding results such as a welder, welding current and metal distance and welding seam angle. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of current variations and magnitude of the seam angle to the value of the impact strength and the hardness value of the SMAW welding results. This study uses a pre-experimental method with a one-shot case model. The results of this study indicate the highest impact strength values of current variations in the 80 Ampere specimen at the angle of seam V 60o in the amount of 0.0799 J / mm2 and in the 80 Ampere specimen in the angle of the 80o V in the seam angle of 0.0942 J / mm2. Then for the highest impact strength value variation of seam angle V group of seam angle specimen V 80o current 80 Amperes is equal to 0.0942 J / mm2 and specimen angle of seam V 80o current 100 Ampere 0.0824 J / mm2. The highest hardness value is obtained with a variation of the current specimen group of 100 Ampere in the angle of seam V 60o that is equal to 187.1 HVN and in the specimen group 100 Ampere with the angle of contact V 80o that is equal to 204.4 HVN. Then the highest hardness value variation angle seam V specimen V 80o with current 80 Amperes is equal to 191.63 HVN and specimen angle of seam V 80o with 100 amperes current that is equal to 204.4 HVN. KeyWords : SMAW, Welding current, V groove, Impact Strength, Hardness

Abstract

Abstract: The fingerprint-type digital key model driving safety system offers an accurate security system in minimizing motorcycle units from potential theft crimes that are rampant. This study aims to develop a security system for a fingerprint model on a motorcycle using the arduino-based prototype development method. The test was carried out to determine the results of the arduino programming configuration on the board with a fingerprint scanner. Research results: 1) the design processed using the Arduino application shows that done compiling means that the configuration is successful. 2) The fingerprint scanning test results show that the ignition of the starter is faster when the palm of the finger is dry; that is, the average is activated 2.31 seconds. 3) The result of detection on unknown finger will be activate the alarm. Keywords: Security system, Fingerprint, Arduino application

Abstract

Abstract: The use of wind energy in Indonesia is currently still low due to the average wind speed in the Indonesian territory ranging from 3 m / s to 11 m / s, making it difficult to produce electrical energy on a large scale. However, the potential for wind in Indonesia is available almost all year round, making it possible to develop small-scale power generation systems. Innovations in modifying windmills need to be improved so that in low wind speed conditions it can produce electrical energy. Therefore, a HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) blade design was made using a NACA airfoil which has a high Cl / Cd value and produces 500 W of power at wind speeds of 1 - 11 m / s. The research was conducted in 3 stages. The first calculation phase is to determine the radius, chord and twist of the blade. The two stages of the initial blade design were simulated using QBlade software to determine the NACA airfoil being used and to determine the performance coefficient and the resulting power. The three stages of blade design use Solidworks software which produces a 3D blade design. The design results produce a HAWT blade with a taperless NACA 4412 airfoil with blade radius of 1 m, chord width 0.12 m, and twist angle of 5.08 ° - 12.08 °. At a wind speed of 10 m / s, the blade has a maximum Cp of 52%, a maximum power of 1010 W at an angular speed of 450 rpm, a minimum power of 85 W at an angular speed of 95 rpm. The average power produced is 547.5 W. Field test results of Taperless NACA 4412 blades. The results of the field testing are 585.58 W of maximum charge and an average charge of 30.24 W, with the resulting power of 725.55 Wh. Keywords: Blade, Taperless, NACA 4412,Wind Turbine
