Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of time immersion with soursop leaf extract and storage time to the quality of duck eggs namely the thickness of the shell and the shrinkage of the egg weight. The study design was complete randomized design (RAL) factorial pattern with 2 treatment factors ie first factor: soaking for 20 hours and immersion for 40 hours and second factor: level of soursop leaf extract 2% and 4% during storage 0, 7, 14, 21 , 28, 35 and 42 days at room temperature with 3 replications. The result of the analysis based on anova spss analysis known that 28 days storage of different thickness of the shell is very real (P <0.01) at soaking 20 hours and 40 hours while the interaction between soaking and soursop leaf extract concentration is not significantly different as well as 35 days storage there is a significant difference in long soaking (P <0.05) while interaction between soaking time and soursop leaf extract level was also significantly different (P <0.05), while soursop extract level of 2% and 4% was not significantly different (P˃0.05). On shrinkage of egg weight, yield of soaking time significantly different to the shrinkage of egg storage weight 0 days (P <0.05). The shrinking weight of 28 days storage eggs was significantly different at the level of soursop leaf extract of 2% and 4% (P <0.05) while the interaction between soaking and soursop leaf extract was very significantly P <0.01.

Abstract

Talas banana (Musa paradisiaca var sapientum L) is one type of typical bananas in South Kalimantan that has a bright prospect in the future. The plant propagation of talas banana is slower than the other types of bananas.  Therefore, it is necessary to use the fast and efficient propagating method, namely by the tissue culture. The growing media used in the banana plant propagation through in vitro culture were Murashige and Skoog media. The propagation of talas banana through in vitro culture used the plant growth regulators of cytokinin, namely BAP, Thidiazuron, and coconut water. The objectives of the research were 1) to find out the PGR formulations in the media of MS and ½ MS with the subculture time interval for optimization of culture products on the initiation and multiplication of the Talas banana’s shoot and root formation called plantlet (Musa paradisiaca var sapientum L). 2) to determine the methods/techniques of in vitro propagation (optimization of each PGR formula on the media of MS and ½ MS with each time interval of Talas banana subculture, the highest number of roots in the treatment of MS + BAP 0.5 mg L-1 while the highest percentage of contamination in MS medium + BAP 0.5 mg L-1.

Abstract

This research is aimed to study growth and yield of Bambara groundnut Lembang variety which is cultivated in South Kalimantan. A descriptive exploratory research was conducted in field of National Agricultural Training Center Binuang Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan Province on July to November 2017. Observations were made on plant growth component i.e. germination time, number of main branch, flowering age, flower number per branch, harvesting age, pest and disease. Observations were made on yield component i.e. number of pods per plant, wet pods weight per plant,  wet pods weight per plot, 100 seed weight, proportion of wet pods weight, dry pods weight and dry seed weight. The results showed that Bambara groundnut Lembang variety flowering at the age of 43 to 65 days and harvesting at the age of about 115 to 120 days. Average number of pods are 40 pieces with an average weight are 90,76 grams of pods per plant. Bambara groundnut Lembang variety have potential yield of 11,524 tons per hectare of wet pod or 2,881 tons per hectare of dry beans. Thus, Bambara groundnut Lembang variety have the potential to be developed in South Kalimantan.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the revenue,the total cost,income and Comparasion of farming padi jajar legowo system with tegel system . This research was conducted in Pebruari to April 2018 at village tambak sarinah tanah laut regency. The puposive sampling methode used was by observing 16 farmers in  village tambak sarinah who planted padi Jajar legowo system and 16 farmers Planted Padi Tegel system . The Average result  Padi jajar legowo system of the revenue is Rp. 22.751.250,-/ farmer, the average eksplicit cost is Rp. Rp 12.243.089/farmer, and income is Rp10.501.912/farmer.. and  Average result  Padi Tegel system of the revenue is Rp. Rp 22.537.500,-/ farmer, the average eksplicit cost is Rp. Rp 13.659.779 /farmer, and income is RpRp 7.097.096/farmer. The Income comparasion effect jajar legowo system is very significant to farming tegel system,  based on result  t student  95 % α = 0,05  (1,3322 < 2.042) . From  this result of development  we believe that this farming Padi Jajar legowo sistem has good prospect and revenue, tecnically and economically.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine what factors influence the income of banana talas farmers.  The location of the research was conducted in several villages namely Uren, Mamigang, Marajai and Binuang Santang where is central production of Talas banana in Halongs District Balangans Regency. Primary data collection through direct interviews to respondents of talas banana farmers that obtained 51 respondents.  The multivariate variables that influenced income are age of farmer, level of education, number of family, number of tree and selling price of talas banana. The analysis used multiple regression with Cobb Douglass function.  Based  on the results that determinan coefficient (R square) is 0.617 mean that regression model of farmer income relatively good enough. The number of F statistik 14,496 with sig. 0,000 refered to accepted thus hypothesis which stated that variable of age, education level, number of family dependent, number of tree and selling price have simultaneously effect to talas banana farmer income. While significantly obtained t test result where number of family dependent, number of tree and selling price individually effect to farmer income. So the program of Balangan Regencey for increasing talas banana farmer income can conduct with concern for farmer with larger number of family dependent, with seedling grant of talas banana or extension land for talas banana planting, and secure for floor price of talas banana when large harvest happened.

Abstract

Biobriquette a solid fuel that can be used as an alternative energy source that has a certain shape, Manufacture biobriket from agricultural waste shell rubber seeds and shell hazelnut can be done by adding adhesive, where the raw materials charred beforehand then crushed, mixed adhesives, printed by the system hydraulic or manual, and then dried. This research was conducted with two factor randomized block design (RBD) first factor comparison Biobriquette making material (rubber seed shells and shells Pecan) and the second factor is the adhesive tapioca konsentration (8%, 10% and 12%) 15 combination trials with replications per 2 times to obtain 30 units experimental unit. The  best treatment results in this study produced a 30:70 ratio between the shell and the shell pecan rubber seed with adhesive concentration of 10% which resulted in calorific value of 6609.32 Cal / g, 3.90% moisture content and ash content of 6.10%.

Abstract

The research was conducted of three moon, start in November 2015-January 2016. Location the research in Soekarno-Hatta Road, North Sangata District, East Kutai Regency. The research aimed is determine the yield brocolli plant with botanical pesticides variety in suppress pests attack, determine the frecuention and intencity pests attack on brocolli plant with botanical pesticides variety, and determine the best botanical pesticides type in suppress pests on brocolli plant. The research methode using a Randomized Block Design non factorial with 4 level treatments was used 6 replication. The treatments levels botanical pesticides (A), is namely A0 = without botanical pesticides (control), A1 = botanical pesticides areca nuts extract 40 cc/liter water, A2 = botanical pesticides lemongrass leaves extract 40 cc/liter water, and A3 = botanical pesticides tuba root extrac 40 cc/liter water. The research results showed that, the best treatments at gives botanical pesticides areca nuts extract 40 cc/liter water fresh weight brocolli flowers 0,63 kg, attack frecuention pests 32,48-29,08%, and attack intencity pest 16,16-15,32%.

Abstract

The growth responses of the coffee seeds toward of fruit maturity and application of plant growth regulators was conducted to determine effect of fruits maturity, the effect of application of plant growth regulators, and the interaction of both factors toward germination and growth of coffee seeds. This research obtained for three mounth on January to Aprl 2018. The research was conducted in Kabo Street, Mulia 6, Swarga Bara Village Sangatta Sub-distrct East Kutai. This research uses is Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of factorial experiments each of three treatment factorial. First factor is fruit maturity (B) are : B1 = brown, B2 = red, B3 = orange. Second factor is application of plant growth regulators (T) are T1 = 100 mgL-1,  T2 = 150 mgL-1,  T3 = 200 mgL-1. The research result to showed was interacton of red fruit maturity and 1500 mgL-1 of plant growth regulators (B2T2) giving are effected significantly of increasing parameter on germination percentase is 100,00%, time germination is 18,233 days, , and index vigor is 0,605, roots long is 7,080 cm, and plant long is 7,707 cm.

Abstract

This study aims: (i) to obtain a description of how to plant mustard; (ii) to find out how big the cost of explicit, revenue, and income of mustard farming in the village of North Landasan Ulin, Liang Anggang Subdistrict. The method used in this research is survey method with observation technique, where sampling technique (sample) is done by simple random sampling  from 80 households is taken 38%, so that obtained by 30 respondents. The results showed that the average yield of mustard was 2,589,60 bunch / respondent or 645,15 kg / respondent, the average explicit cost Rp 1,873,237.15 / respondent, the average revenue Rp 7,741,800,00 / responder and income average Rp 5,868,562.85 / respondent

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know Revenue, Profit, Capital Productivity, Manpower Distribution and Feasibility of Typhoon Type B Farming in Bunipah Village, Aluh-Aluh Sub-District, Banjar District of South Kalimantan Province. Method of Village Research using Purposive Sampling and for Sampling of Farmers by using Random Sampling sampling that is taken 10% from population amount of 190 tidal rice farmer type B, so obtained 19 farmer sampel.Dan for Revenue Data = TR-TEC, Profit = TR-TC, Capital Productivity = Profit divided by total cost x 100%, Labor Distribution = Total cost of Labor divided by Total cost x 100% whereas Feasibility = TR / TC. The results showed that Average Tidal Rice of Type B tidal land is Rp 9.076.711 farming. with Average Profit is Rp 7,518,879 / farmer and Average Capital Productivity equal to 85,04%, Average outside  Labor Distribution equal to 69,88% and average inside labor distribution equal to 34,94% with Average Feasibility of Field Farming of Type Surface Ms Type 1, 85 means Types of Tidal Wetland Farming Type B is feasible to cultivate.
