Abstract

In developing the Business Judgment System for State-Owned Enterprises (Persero) in Indonesian Economic Law, it is necessary to elaborate on the theory of the role of law in economic development. According to J.D. Mrs. Hart has three elements that must be developed in the legal system so that the law plays a role in economic development, namely predictability (stability), stability (stabilitiy), justice (fairness). The role of the law, basically refers to the main purpose of the law, which is to create an orderly society. Order and balance in society need to be achieved, so that human interests will be protected in achieving their goals. In general, the law functions to divide rights and obligations, regulate how to solve legal problems and maintain legal certainty.

Abstract

Indonesia experienced a great political upheaval after the implementation of the April 14 2019 presidential election yesterday. Such a situation is the culmination of a feeling of dissatisfaction from the part of the Indonesian people towards the government that has been going on so far and for the implementation of the 2019 presidential election which is considered incompatible with the presidential election's honesty (honest and fair). For this reason, Indonesia, in this case the government and the people, must immediately rise up, and control the condition of Indonesian politics to immediately return to conducive conditions. Al-Ghazali's political theory emphasizes the importance of choosing leaders who have good aqeedah and adab, are intelligent, master the knowledge of religion and government, are fair, understand the difficulties of the people, are close to the people. The leader must also be close and willing to listen to the advice of the scholars (religious leaders, national figures and intellectuals), not accepting bribes or bribing and not corruption. The implications of al-Ghazali's theory are very possible and quite relevant to be implemented in Indonesia, but of course it must be adapted to the system of government, culture and society in Indonesia.

Abstract

The global energy consumption has been on the rise worldwide as developing nations begin to industrialize and as consumers in developed nations buy more energy consuming appliances to make life more comfort- able. If the current trends continue, we may face an energy shortage in future. The phrase "hydrogen economy" refers to programs at using hydrogen as an energy carrier to replace hydrocarbon fuels and reduce emissions pro- duced by their consumption. Technologies such as fuel cells developed for cars, buses, power generation and other applications, along with the infra- structural implications of their broad and increasing use, are being de- monstrated in many countries around the world. Activities related to the hydrogen economy are covered on a country by country basis, where applicable.

Abstract

Suharto is known as the "smiling general", but he also had a complex character which, for most of his life, successfully deflected analysis. He was acclaimed as a man of modest origins who had taken power out of disgust at the corruption of the last years of Sukarno, Indonesia's first president, who ruled from its independence from the Netherlands in 1949 until 1967. But while Suharto become a presiden for years, he presided over a regime in which his closest friends controlled huge monopolies and lucrative concessions, while his children acquired assets worth billions of dollars. Under his rule, Indonesia became closely aligned with western interests during the cold war and was rewarded with aid and investment to foster rapid economic growth, making fortunes for his cronies.
