Abstract

Due to the massive increase of user-generated web content, in particular on social media networks where anyone can give a statement freely without any limitations, the amount of hateful activities is also increasing. Social media and microblogging web services, such as Twitter, allowing to read and analyze user tweets in near real time. Twitter is a logical source of data for hate speech analysis since users of twitter are more likely to express their emotions of an event by posting some tweet. This analysis can help for early identification of hate speech so it can be prevented to be spread widely. The manual way of classifying out hateful contents in twitter is costly and not scalable. Therefore, the automatic way of hate speech detection is needed to be developed for tweets in Indonesian language. In this study, we used ensemble method for hate speech detection in Indonesian language. We employed five stand-alone classification algorithms, including Naïve Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbours, Maximum Entropy, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machines, and two ensemble methods, hard voting and soft voting, on Twitter hate speech dataset. The experiment results showed that using ensemble method can improve the classification performance. The best result is achieved when using soft voting with F1 measure 79.8% on unbalance dataset and 84.7% on balanced dataset. Although the improvement is not truly remarkable, using ensemble method can reduce the jeopardy of choosing a poor classifier to be used for detecting new tweets as hate speech or not.

Abstract

This paper presents a solution for remote monitoring and sensing of different agricultural parameters that effect the plant growth and productivity. Hardware descriptive language has been used for the implementation of proposed topology on Field Programmable Gate Arrays. The hardware used for this purpose is an Altera board. The simulated results take into consideration the environmental factors such as the humidity, soil moisture content and the temperature. The proposed system continuously monitors the environmental changes for any updates. The system also controls a water motor that is turned on as the system senses the reduction in moisture content. The system implementation on hard wave level show promising results and have been discussed in detailed.

Abstract

Steganography is the art/technique of hiding message data inside a carrier file in such a way that unauthorized or unsolicited personnel is not capable of detecting the presence of data inside the carrier file. The Proposed Method provides improved security and improved high embedding capacity image steganography through the usage of Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) and Chaotic Logistic map. Least Significant Bit technique is used to replace the bits in the coefficient of detail band. The proposed method offers lossless and unnoticeable change in the image steganography. In this paper we focus on both cryptography and steganography for better confidentiality, security and robustness. We find that the proposed algorithm has a better CMPSNR (Chaotic Logistic mapping) value averaging close to 74 after embedding the secret data, while the existing algorithms have values of around 65.

Abstract

The application of the developed optimization technique Multi Objective Adaptive Tumbling Bacterial Foraging (MOATBFO) was introduced to solve the multi objective Reactive Power Planning (RPP) problems. The objective of conventional RPP problems is to minimize the total power losses in a system. However, in this study, the aspect of security was also taken into consideration in terms of voltage stability condition in solving RPP problems. Hence, the RPP problem is now termed as security constrained RPP (SCRPP) and generalized into a multi objective function via weighted sum method that labeled as MOSCRPP. The best minimum voltage solution for the network is aimed in ensuring the sustainable power system operation.  In order to verify the performance of the proposed technique were used for MOSCRPP in the IEEE 57 bus system thus the comprehensive analyses were also conducted with other multi objective Meta heuristic Evolutionary Programming (Meta-EP). From the results it shows that the multi objective ATBFO optimization is able to give better overall improvement in the objective functions for SCRPP problems.

Abstract

Massive Multiplayer Online (MMO) game is one of the famous game genres among teenagers nowadays. MMO games allow gamers to interact and play with up to thousand players. Rainbow Six Siege (RSS) belongs to MMO type of game. However, due to many operators that are available in this game, the player needs to choose the right operator to counter the enemy operator. Therefore, based on the characteristic of the selected operator, this paper attempted to predict the outcomes of the game.  In our prediction model, characteristics for these operators were extracted from 120 live stream replays. Three classification algorithms were utilized to predict the outcome of the game. Among these algorithms, IBK had obtained outstanding performance in the dataset. The accuracy of the model is 93.75%, applying 5-fold cross-validation test. The success rate reveals that our proposed model is suitable to predict the outcome of the game.

Abstract

This paper present a recognition technique of metal placed inside and between two walls. A unique scheme of recognition of metallic objects through Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Modified Antipodal Vivaldi Antenna (MAVA) frequency range of (3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz) is presented in this paper.The working mechanism of detection system based on Time Domain Reflectrometry (TDR) using through wall imaging (TWMI). A very small duration pulses generated by Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) which are used for illuminate the wall.The analysis of a system under UWB antenna probe array. The simulation results of MAVA have given an enormous potential of penetration, in order to recognize concealed metal objects with fine precision, proving a smart development in the detection system technology. The improvement of resolution in an image, special filters have been developed and implemented. The design and optimization progression is conceded out via CST simulation software for parametric performance assessment of return loss, radiation pattern and directivity.

Abstract

User interface design plays an important role in web design. Designing a user interface that satisfies the emotional needs of the users is essential as the user interface plays a crucial role in generating remarkable user experiences for websites. A poorly designed user interface leads to bad user interaction while raising the users’ arousal and a displeasing user experience with a website elicits dissatisfaction emotion where consecutively results in avoidance and prevents revisit to the website. A standard emotional based user interface web design would enhance user experience which will lead to success of a website. Kansei engineering which is a popular technique in transforming users’ feelings into product design is used in this research. This study tries to convert the feelings and emotions of users into design elements with the use of Kansei engineering technology in order to design an appropriate higher learning institution website by  identifying a standard web design that cultivates emotional engagement. A standard user interface web design guideline for the development of the higher learning institutions’ website has been proposed in this research.

Abstract

The morphological, structural, optical and electrical properties of ZnO nanorods are investigated as a function of deposition temperature. The ZnO nanorods were grown on ZnO seed catalyst layer at temperatures between 750oC – 825oC using thermal chemical vapour deposition method.  Sample deposited at 825oC showed the highest crystalline orientation. The FE-SEM micrographs and the intense peak along (002) direction in the XRD spectra of this sample implied that the nanorods possess c-axis orientation. PL spectra showed two common ZnO peaks which centered at 380 nm and 540 nm. Two-point probe I-V measurement revealed ohmic behaviour with the gold metal contact, whereby the current increase with the deposition temperature.

Abstract

An exigent consumer related concerns confronted due to utilization of massive front-end AC-DC rectifier in a grid-tied BLDC pumping system. Harmonic distortions are acquired, which prompts the disruption of power quality at utility grid system due to AC-DC conversion. Several factors for enhancing power-quality concerns are ameliorate the grid power-factor along with reduction of harmonic distortions, tightened regulation of DC output voltage. In this way, the DC-DC boost converter plays a unique role; operated in Continuous Conduction Mode. Based on summarizing advantages & disadvantages of classical DC-DC converters, a single switch high voltage gain M-SEPIC DC-DC converter is more suggestive for water pumping system due to non-existence of coupled inductors, low switching loss, low di/dt stress, high efficiency, compact structure, low cost, etc. This work proposes the novel M-SEPIC DC-DC converter fed brushless-DC motor drive is controlled by voltage source inverter and powered by single-phase grid system with improved power-quality features. Moreover, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System is recommended for prediction of optimal switching states to amplify the BLDC motor speed and torque-ripple depreciation. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme is validated under constant speed situations by real-time operating conditions which are evaluated by Matlab /Simulink tool; and simulation results are conferred with attractive comparisons.

Abstract

This paper presents a single port rectangular ring resonator sensor for material characterizations. The proposed sensor is designed at operating resonance frequency of 4 GHz. The sensor consists of micro-strip transmission line and ring resonator with applying the enhancement method to the coupling gaps. The using of enhancement method is to improve the return loss of the sensor and sensitivity in terms of Q-factor, respectively. Furthermore, the proposed sensor is designed and fabricated on Roger 5880 substrate. Standard materials with known permittivity have been used in order to validate the sensor’s sensitivity. Based on the results, the percentage of error for the proposed rectangular sensor is 0.2% to 8%. It can be demonstrated that the proposed sensor will be useful for various applications such as medicine, bio-sensing and food industry.
