Abstract

This paper introduces the uses of Robust Dynamic State Estimation (RDSE) with Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU), The M-Estimators Quadratic Linear (QL) and Square Root (SR) Estimators have been used. For the solution of the M-estimators problem, Iteratively Re-weighted Least Squares Estimation (IRLS) method is applied. In this work, we used the Decoupled Current Measurement (DCM) method to include the Phasor Measurement Unit in Robust Dynamic State Estimation. The proposed method has been tested on standard data 30-bus testing system as a case study.

Abstract

Prediction of alkalinity in sintering process is difficult. Whether the level of the alkalinity of sintering process is successful or not is directly related to the quality of sinter. There is no good method, prediction of alkalinity by high complexity, the present nonlinear, strong coupling, high time delay, so the recent new technology, grey least square support vector machine have been introduced. In this paper, The weight of evaluation objectives has not given the corresponding consideration when solving the correlation degree by taking traditional grey relation analysis and it is with a lot of subjective factors, easily lead to mistakes in decision-making on program. Abstract

This paper analyses and compares the acceleration sensor: ADXL330, ADXL345, ADXL203, and points out that the acceleration sensor functions in sports management system. Sports management system is the main controller in motion process command each node controller through the sensor to collect the movement process of the ADXL system the human body each point in three coordinate axes acceleration component. The article presents design and development of sports management information system based on acceleration transducer. Design of sports information management system based on three axis accelerometer can quickly and accurately collect human motion information, which provides a new method for the study of sports.

Abstract

In recent years there has been an intensive effort to increase the participation of renewable sources of electricity in the fuel and energy balance of many countries. In particular, this relates to the power of wind farms attached to the power system at both the distribution network. However, in the presence of Renewable Dispersed Generation, (RDG) some problems in coordination of protection devices will occur, due to changes in fault current levels at different points. By installing RDG in power distribution networks, the fault current levels are changed and may lead to some miscoordination in IDMT Directional Over-Current Relay (DOCR). In this paper, a novel approach is presented to study the impact of RDG location (dRDG) on IDMT characteristic curve of relay, fault current (IF), operation time (T) for DOCR, and coordination time interval (CTI) between backup and primary relays and short circuit level index (ISC) in the presence there phase fault on medium voltage (MV) distribution network. This new approach has been implemented on the Algerian 10 kV distribution power system in Constantine.

Abstract

This study proposes a fuzzy sliding mode control strategy to realize wind energy conversion optimization based on doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG). Its operational points in partial load zone can be electronically controlled. Chattering in wind energy conversion sliding mode control system is greatly alleviated based on fuzzy switching gain adjustment. The purposes including the maximum power point tracking, decoupling control of active and reactive power of fed induction generation system are fulfilled. Fitful and random wind speeds are mathematical modeled.  Simulation results verified  effectiveness and feasibility of  the proposed control strategy  under the two types of wind speed and indicate that the whole control system has better robustness against uncertainties and can guarantee the power quality.

This paper introduces the technology research and application situation of charging, battery swapping and smart charging/battery swap service network operation management in China, and meanwhile introduces the EV energy supply infrastructure construction and some typical pilot projects in China. And the EV energy supply technologies development trend is discussed at last.

Abstract

IEEE 802.11b/g/n WLAN with conventional ESS infrastructure doesn’t support handover feature. Handover feature allows user to migrate services between APs without losing connection. Handoff latency is one problem in WLAN to perform real-time application such as VoIP. To bring seamless handover and QoS guarantee in ESS network, we propose five network optimization methods i.e.configuring overlapping area of APs, placing APs in one roaming domain, using the same SSID and security mode, choosing APs channel by margin of 5, and configuring APs as DHCP forwarder. Handover test is done by sniffing on the client that experienced handover. In the result, there are three steps in Layer 2 handoff, i.e. probing, authentication, and re-association with maximum handoff latency is 325.02 ms in data services and 67.412 ms in VoIP. In VoIP services, one way delay is 39.985 - 49.18 ms, one way jitter is 9.45 - 19.57 ms, and the packet loss is 0 - 0.548%. Overall, the built network system is able to guarantee QoS in handover case, both in data and VoIP services.

Abstract

Many engineering optimization problems can be state as function optimization with constrained, intelligence optimization algorithm can solve these problems well. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm was developed under the inspiration of behavior laws of bird flocks, fish schools and human communities. In this paper, aim at the disadvantages of standard Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm like being trapped easily into a local optimum, we improves the standard PSO and proposes a new algorithm to solve the overcomes of the standard PSO. The new algorithm keeps not only the fast convergence speed characteristic of PSO, but effectively improves the capability of global searching as well. Experiment results reveal that the proposed algorithm can find better solutions when compared to other heuristic methods and is a powerful optimization algorithm for engineering optimization problems.

Abstract

Speed sensorless vector control of 3-phase induction motor under open-phase fault (faulty 3-phase induction motor) ased on Indirect Rotor Field-Oriented Control (RFOC) is proposed in this paper. To ensure high performance FOC of induction motor drives, the estimation of the rotor speed is necessary. However, the algorithm used to estimate the rotor speed for a 3-phase induction motor cannot be used directly for a faulty 3-phase induction motor. This is because the faulty induction motor model is different from the healthy 3-phase induction motor. To overcome this problem, in this paper a new switching Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) s proposed to update online the rotor speed. The proposed algorithm can be used for estimation of rotor speed in both healthy and faulty conditions. MATLAB simulation results are carried out to show the capability of the proposed drive system. The results show the activity of the proposed method at wide range speed operation.

Abstract

Time Varying Autoregressive (TVAR) model for the Amplitude and Frequency modulated (AM-FM) signal is presented   In this paper. TVAR parameters of AM-FM signal are estimated using Discrete Energy Separation (DESA) Algorithm. The performance of DESA method is shown to be comparable to the existing basis function method for AM, FM, AM-FM signal models. The proposed method is simpler to execute in hardware and consumes considerably less computational resources compared to the method using Adaptive and the Basis function methods. .It is demonstrated that the proposed technique based on DESA has certain distinct advantages over the conventional method employing basis functions. Another advantage is that the present method works well with quickly varying signals
