Abstract

This research proposes new method to estimate spectral reflectances of Jati Belanda (Guazuma ulmifolia) leaf based on digital image color. Jati Belanda is a medicinal plant containing antioxidant compounds. Spectral reflectances can be used to estimate chemical compounds but the tools to obtain spectral reflectances is very expensive. To estimate the Jati Belanda leaf reflectance values based on digital image color, we used Fourier Transformation. The estimated spectral reflectances is evaluated using root mean square error (RMSE) and goodness-of-fit coefficient (GFC). According to the experiment, dataset used is 276 leaves of medicinal plants and the best polynomial transformation is 3rd order with RMSE value 4,83 and GFC value 0.96. The future work could estimate the amount of chemical compounds in Jati Belanda Leaf using estimated spectral reflectances. Estimated spectral reflectances is  an important part of estimated the amount of chemical compounds.

Abstract

The lack of wind power’s assimilative capacity has become a bottleneck of wind power’s large-scale development in the future, while the bundled transmission model of wind power is highly recommended by many scholars at present. However, due to the distemperedness of China's current fiscal policy, the involved parties cannot get the corresponding policy incentives and the economic compensation for additional contributions, which restricted the implementation of the bundled transmission model. By discussing the basic theory of DEA Game, This paper built an excess profit allocation model based on DEA Game, and took an example to analyze the model’s feasibility. Thus, it provides some theoretical basis for the distribution amount and practice distribution forms of the excess profits, and proposes a solution to the problem of the bundled transmission model’s benefit distribution.

Abstract

A design of the proposed VCO was developed for PLL in radio frequency identification (RFID) application. By using current starved ring oscillator, the designed circuit is simulated using 0.18-μm CMOS process in Mentor Graphics environment. The results show that the voltage drawn is around 5V supplied at VDD, and the product of this current and voltage has approximate 105.3 mW power consumption while the VCO generates 212 MHz at 1.4 V.

Abstract

Automated ground vehicles are being used increasingly in automation of factories for material transmitting or other missions. The navigation of these vehicles is a challenge as the configuration of the environment such as factory changes. The path-planning problem has been shown to be NP-hard, thus this problem is often solved using heuristic optimization methods such as genetic algorithms. In this paper a genetic algorithm for path planning of the mobile robots specifically automated ground vehicles with a basic knowledge about navigation area boundaries and configuration of obstacles. The goal in this paper is to travel the shortest path in minimal time while avoiding obstacles in a navigation environment. For this reason, an effective structure for genetic algorithm was implemented. http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i9.6271

Abstract

Integrity constraint is important to make data certain in relation database. Though there is plenty of uncertain information that is valuable and need to be searched and to be used. Combined with probabilistic database theory and on the basis of summarizing former results, this paper gives a new query plan aiming at inconsistent database. It uses the constraint methods including union, product, subtraction, selection, projection and link to repair inconsistent data effectively. Its probabilistic calculation with four elements and probabilistic query rewriting can overcome shortcomings of inconsistent databases. The experiments show these methods can decrease conflict of data.

Abstract

Traditional artificial library management mode is exposed to great impact with the coming of network information era. Many shortages such as low library utilization rate, bad data secrecy, and large workload of management restrict the development of traditional artificial lending management. Based on software engineering’s design thought, this paper analyzes the needs in library system; module analysis method is applied to design the four modules of the system: landing, management, maintenance, and setting up. In server - client network framework, this paper designs the whole library informationization system. The whole system improves lending process, reduces workload, enhances safety confidentiality, and strengthens library management.

Abstract

Interharmonics frequencies are not integer multiple of the fundamental frequency, and interharmonics amplitudes are far less than fundamental amplitude and harmonics amplitudes,  which mean high sensitivity to desynchronization problems, so it’s dificult to estimate interharmonics.  In this paper, a new method based on random sparse sampling and compressed sensing (CS) Bregman technique was proposed to estimate the interharmonics. The random sam pling has following advantages; alias-free、sampling frequency need not obey the Nyquist limit、and higher frequency resolution. So the random sampling can measure the signals which their frequencies component are close, and can implement the higher frequencies measurement with lower sampling frequency. However, the rangdom sampling exists the noise in spectrum analysis, so it’s difficult to estimate the low amplitude signals. Compressed sensing can work out this problem by designing observation matrix and with the sparsity reconstruction of the signal in the Fourier domain; in addition, the application of CS can estimate the amplitudes and phases of the signals exactly. The results ofexperiments show that the proposed method can estimate the interharmonics exactly, even if the interharmonics frequencies are close the fundam ental frequency and interharmonics amplitudes are far less than fundamental am plitude;and can measure high order interharmonics with lower sam pling frequency.

Abstract

In this paper, a novel static synchronous compensator/condensor based on the state-of-the-art modular multilevel converter called M-STATCOM is introduced. In order to support bus bar voltage, maintain the stability of DC-link capacitor voltage, obtain harmonics free output voltage and compensate reactive power under unbalanced operation, a novel direct current control (DCC) technique is proposed. For high accuracy and good control system response purpose Level-shift sine pulse width modulation (LS-PWM) technique is selected as the modulation strategy. The M-STATCOM is simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC environment and its static and dynamic responses are discussed. The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed modulation and control strategy is validated by the simulation results.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of train running process and train motor-driven models, an ATO compound control algorithm of multimode fuzzy decision making is proposed, which will improve the effects of dynamic and static control of ATO system. Control weighting coefficients of PID controller output and fuzzy controller output are obtained by fuzzy reasoning, fuzzy decision-making and dynamic calculations of error and error rate of train speed, and also the weighting coefficients are used for the output calculation of fuzzy decision-making controller. Simulation results show the speed and accuracy of ATO speed control are improved effectively by the compound  multimode decision controller algorithm, which help to  improve the comfort of trains and its stop precision.

Abstract

Applying repeaters and CTCSS for frequency transmission will beeasier. But how to arrange the repeaters to cover the areas and allocate the CTCSS is one of the most indispensable problems. At first, this paperestablishes the model to cover the area. According to previous study, ourapproach is to tile the region with hexagons inscribed within circles of radiusequal to the distance a user’s signal will reach effectively. Then, this paperchecks the repeaters’ usage loads whether the number of them is adequate forlarge number of users. This paper set five conditions which must be satisfied. And then report the 2 meter band which is close to the information that topichas given. This algorithm is to arrange the frequency division and allocate theCTCSS step by step.
