Abstract

The traditional method of improving the machining precision is mainly on account of changes in the workpiece and the grinding wheel in grinding process, including, considered the weakest of the workpiece from the axial stiffness, using center frame to increase the stiffness of the workpiece, take error compensation, and analyze the mechanism of gear grinding and the suppression measures of variable speed grinding and grinding chatter. Based on the analysis of the relationship among gear grinding mechanism, variable speed grinding and grinding chatter suppression and grinding precision, the variable speed micro-feed grinding process strategy based on adaptive fuzzy control is put up, that is according to the roller material and structure to reasonably determine the characteristics of grinding wheel and the parameters of grinding process. And with full consideration of roll grinders, changes of roller system along the axial stiffness and the deformation control in the roll grinding process, a new strategy of variable speed grinding micro-feed adaptive control optimization based on adaptive fuzzy control is proposed, which for improving the accuracy of the grinding roll presents a new and effective solution.

Abstract

Recently, clustering algorithms combined conventional methods and artificial intelligence. FSC-SOM is designed to handle the problem of SOM, such as defining the number of clusters and initial value of neuron weights. FSC find the number of clusters and the cluster centers which become the parameter of SOM. FSC-SOM is expected to improve the quality of FSC since the determination of the cluster centers are processed twice i.e. searching for data with high density at FSC then updating the cluster centers at SOM. FSC-SOM was tested using 10 datasets that is measured with F-Measure, entropy, Silhouette Index, and Dunn Index. The result showed that FSC-SOM can improve the cluster center of FSC with SOM in order to obtain the better quality of clustering results. The clustering result of FSC-SOM is better than or equal to the clustering result of FSC that proven by the value of external and internal validity measurement.

Abstract

To compose the wide visual angle and high resolution image from the sequence of images which have overlapping region in the same scene quickly and correctly, an improved SIFT algorithm which is based on D2oG interest point detector was proposed. It extracted the image feature points and generated corresponding feature descriptors by improved SIFT algorithm. Then, using the random consistency (RANSAC) algorithm purified feature point matching pairs and calculating the transformation matrix H. Last, complete the seamless mosaic of images by using the image fusion algorithm of slipping into and out. It respectively process the images which had the four typical transformations with the traditional SIFT and the proposed method. The result indicated that the number of feature pairs is fewer than SIFT algorithm and the mosaic time is shorter, and then the matching efficiency is higher than the later. This proposed method reduces the complexity of operation and improves real-time of image mosaic simultaneously.

Abstract

The frequencies of chronic kidney disease are likely to continue to increase worldwide. So people need to take a precaution, which is by maintaining kidney health and early detection of renal impairment by analyzing the composition of the iris is known as iridology. This paper presents a novel approach using a one-dimensional discrete Hidden Markov Model (HMM) classifier and coefficients Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) as a feature for image recognition iris to indicate normal or abnormal kidney. The system has been examined on 200 iris images. The total images of the abnormal kidney condition were 100 images and those for the normal kidney condition were 100 images. The system showed a classification rate up to 100% using total of image for training and testing the system unspecified, resize iris image 56x46 pixels, coefficient values U(1,1), Σ(1,1) and Σ(2,2), quantized values [18 10 7], and classify by 7-state HMM with .pgm format database.

Abstract

We present a simulation of a HEMT (high electron mobility transistor) structure. We extract the device characteristics through the analysis of DC, AC and high frequency regimes, as shown in this paper. This work demonstrates the optimal device with a gate length of 30 nm, and InAlN/GaN heterostructure for minimizing side effects. The simulated with Silvaco software of the HEMT devices with the materials InAlN show very good scalability in different application. We have demonstrated an excellent current density, as high as 644 mA/mm, a peak extrinsic transconductance of 710 mS/mm at VDS=2 V, and cutting frequency cutoffs of 385 GHZ, maximum frequency of 810 GHz, maximum efficiency of 23% for x-Band, maximum breakdown voltage of 365 V, and an ON/OFF current density ratio higher than 8 x 108. These values were determined through the simulation by hydrodynamics models, which makes that optimize the design is the future of this technology.

Abstract

The mobile agent has been seen as a promising distributed computing technology. The mobility characteristic of mobile agent makes it to travel often in open network. In this scenario, it is obvious that the mobile agents are vulnerable to various security threats. Protecting free-roaming mobile agents from malicious host and from other mobile agents has drawn much attention in recent years. The protection of mobile agents is considered as one of the greatest challenges of security, because the platform of execution has access to all the components of the mobile agent. In this paper, we present a new architecture paradigm of mobile agents, which allows the separation of the implementation tasks of the agent and its security mechanisms. Our approach is based on using two strategies of adaptation to adapt the mobile agent security at runtime, depending on the sensitivity of the services required to perform the duties of the agent and the degree of confidence of the visited platforms.

Abstract

Photovoltaics (PV) are the most abundant, perennial, environment friendly and distributed source of energy all over the globe. In this paper, the method to increase PV extraction efficiency for 60W panel with improved DMPP (Distributed Maximum Power Point) even on changing temperature and irradiance have been mapped and discussed. In order to achieve this, the components and subsystems have been analyzed and validated. The validated models are used to maximize the power output using two different models of DC-DC Converters in MATLAB/SIMULINK environment. Closed loop Buck converter using state space nonlinear differential equations and direct component model are compared to reveal best results at Standard Test Conditions (STC). MPPT model developed can be used for obtaining maximum power output from PV even in partial presence of sun using Fuzzy Logic Controller. The Controller designed tracks highest power output for the buck converter. The model developed, using tested membership functions in FLC, can serve a platform for various real time applications using PV.

Abstract

In this paper, we present a comparison between the different variations of virtual retina (grid size) in features extraction with the support vectors machines classifier for isolated handwritten Eastern Arabic numerals recognition. For this purpose we have used for pre-processing each numeral image the median filter, the thresholding, normalization and the centering techniques. Furthermore, the experements results that we have obtained demonstrate really that the most powerful method is that virtual retina size equal 20x20. This work has achieved approximately 85% of success rate for Eastern Arabic numerals database identification.

Abstract

Face recognition is the field of great interest in the domaine of research for several applications such as biometry identification, surveillance, and human-machine interaction…This paper exposes a system of face recognition. This system exploits an image document text embedding a color human face image. Initially, the system, in its phase of extraction, exploitis the horizontal and vertical histogram of the document, detects the image which contains the human face. The second task of the system consists of detecting the included face in other to determine, with the help of invariants moments, the characteristics of the face. The third and last task of the system is to determine, via the same invariants moments, the characteristics of each face stored in a database in order to compare them by means of a classification tool (Neural Networks and K nearest neighbors) with the one determined in the second task for the purpose of taking the decision of identification in that database, of the most similar face to the one detected in the input image.
